Wondering if anyone had similar problem. On Google voice, when it attempts to verify your number, message pops up with Your phone number could not be verified. Please try again".
Tried with every configuration possible. Roaming and not, wifi and 3G, data disabled, data enabled. Rebooted countless times, even tried "use another account" thing. Still won't work.
Anyone seen this?
Clear data on app, log into Google voice and select integration and add you sprint number and then wait 15 minutes. Now when you start Google voice app it will automatically check for integration and you're set

Greetings, I am a newbie who recently got the X10 mini which I love, but I have had days of troubles trying to get Nimbizz and Google Voice configured to make free calls. An awesome developer named "fishsticksfromguam" made this program called "Advanced GV Caller" which I purchased, and could not get to work. I followed all of his helpful instructions, but it still will not work properly. Is anyone else having these problems or can anyone give advice?
The errors I get are:
With A.GV Dialer: it says GV is calling my phone and either the phone call just doesn't go through, or it says that my GV number is not set for callbacks. Since GV does not have a callback number, I don't get it.
Nimbizz: either goes black and freezes and I have to restart my phone, or it says, Nimbizz is not responding, force quit?
Then when I sign back in, it shows that my Skype account under Nimbizz is offline, whereas just a minute before it was online and I was able to make calls.
Also, when Skype is working, I can call out, but I cannot get any incoming calls.
Or it says, Activity Phone (in process.com.android.phone) is not responding, force close.
My Gizmo5 account is set up properly and my Google Voice phone number has been verified by the developer himself. I sincerely recommend fishsticksfromguam's programs as he goes out of his way to help.
Below are the instructions that I have followed:
1. Login in Gizmo5 and under the "FORWARDING" tab, select the option
"Forward All Calls", and enter your gtalk email address, hit save and log out.
2. On my Desktop computer, I start the official Google Talk client.
3. Login to Google Voice and under Settings menu, I added a new Phone
with my Gizmo5 telephone number and I selected "GIZMO" as the phone
type.
4. Google will now attempt to call your Gizmo5 number to verify it.
Since you've forwarded ALL Gizmo5 calls to your gTalk, it will come in
on your Google Talk Client where you can now answer the call and verify it!
*** YOU HAVE NOW VERIFIED YOUR GIZMO5 NUMBER ***
5. Install Nimbuzz (or Fring) on your Android phone, and ensure your
Google Talk is set up properly to receive voice calls.
6. Install Google Voice Call Advanced, enter your Google Voice
Username & Password, and for the Callback number, enter your full
Gizmo5 callback number (ie. 17475551212), and select "GIZMO5" as the
phone type. Select "Use GV for all calls". Hit Apply.
*** You should now be able to make FREE phone calls using your Android Phone ***

This maybe due to my "upgrading" SIM cards at T-mo earlier today, but my new Amaze is not allowing me to set up Google Voice or utilize the Visual Voicemail preinstalled features and keeps directing me to call 611. Google Voice sends back an error stating "Failed to retrieve and save current forwarding number settings." When I click on Voicemail Settings it looks bad. The page doesnt load up (ie appears greyed out, with a jumble of numbers at the top where my phone # should be. Anyone else having similar issues? My first guess is either an issue with Sense or T-Mo.

No I dont see the app. At least like there was in myTouch4G, also no references to it in my settings menu.
my google voice works. it wasnt able to set up the forwarding numbers, but i always check my vm via the app anyway so. It downloaded all my vm and a test call was sent to my google mailbox

If you try to open VM Settings does it look normal, or is it all greyed out and the number all jumbled?
mines not greyed out. double check and run the setup a few times, maybe itll work through. mine said some error, but i dont have anything greyed out actually. i check mine with the google voice app itself, so i dont see it as an immediate issue (for me at least)
I went from the LG G2x to this device and I had GVoice on that. The voice app failed to set call forwarding options for me, too, when I first installed it on the Amaze4G but becuase they are subscriber specific with the carrier, and not the device it doesn't matter.
If you go through google voice web site and go through the settings you can get the call forwarding codes and dial it from the device and it will accomplish the same thing and work fine.
I was on the phone with TMO this morning about a network issue happening with my phone that's unrelated to voicemail. In investigating potential service issues they mentioned that Seattle and the surrounding area has a new visual voicemail system issue. It could be that. I'm not sure if that's specific to my location or if they rolled out something service wide.
Hi all, is it possible to utilize Sipdroid + PBXes if my HTC One does not have a cell phone number associated with it? I am currently not using it with any carrier and I was hoping that I can use this as a Wifi only device to make and receive calls, I'm just not sure if it is possible.
I have set up Sipdroid with my PBXes account (it was done automatically after I clicked on New link and created a PBXes account through Sipdroid). I get the green light in my notifications pull-down implying that I am connected, but any time that I try to make a call, it tries to dial for four seconds and then immediately hangs up. I went through the settings and initially it did not have WLAN checked. I checked this box and tried to make a call, only to yield the same results.
Now, for the strange part. I tried setting up my Sipdroid on my other phone that is associated with a carrier (this phone does have a cell phone number). This time, however, I could not use the New PBX linked to my Google Voice option because I had already created a PBX account. Instead, I went through the settings and entered everything exactly as it was set up on my HTC One.
Authorization Username: myusername-200
Password: myPBXpw (or mygooglevoicepw, they are both the same)
All of the settings are exactly the same, but Sipdroid keeps giving me a Registration failed (401 Unauthorized) error.
So, to sum up, here are my questions:
1. Is it possible to use Sipdroid + PBXes + GV in order to make and receive calls on my HTC One that does not have a cell phone number associated with the phone. If so, how?
2. Why is Sipdroid giving me the Registration failed (401 Unauthorized) error on my HTC Thunderbolt that does have a cell phone number associated with it? How can I fix this?
Just to let everyone know his problem was fixed. I had him get rid of SipDroid, install CSipSimple, disable Google Chat, change his Google Password, and disable two-step verification. The password/two-step verification is what caused his problems.

As an FYI, you can enable 2-step verification again after you've setup CSipSimple and PBXes and it will continue to work just fine. Thanks for your help buddy!
Just moved from windows phone 8.1 to Android 10 (Samsung A21 phone). We only have talk and text (no data plan). With the windows phone, I can use voice command to make calls without the need to enable data. When I say "call Bob", the windows phone will automatically dial Bob's number 800-800-0000.
In Android 10, I can launch Google and say "call 800-800-0000 and Google will dial that number (no need to connect to the internet). However, with the command "call Bob" or "text Bob", Google will ask for access to the internet. Google assistant is fully functional because I can set the timer or the alarm. Is there a fix to this problem? Is there another app that I can use that will access CONTACTS and dial out without the need to connect to the internet?
The Google app has permission to access phone, SMS, contacts, call logs, and microphone. I'm guessing that Google wants to know who I'm calling by requiring access to the internet. As of now, I have to sign up for a Google account and connect to the internet if I want to call a person in the contacts list by saying his/her name. A work around solution is to memorize the phone number.

i had my phone (Tmobile iphone 12 pro) set up to forward missed calls to google voice VM. I decided to go back to the regular VM, so I removed the device from my google voice account and attempted to use the ##004# shortcode to re-set my VM settings and nothing is working. It still occasionally forwards missed calls to google voice, and then other times it just disconnects with no VM.
I have also done the standard iphone reset network settings as well as a hard reset of the phone and it still is connected to google voice.
Does anyone have a trick to remove all forwarding options? Thanks!
