[Q] Kernel with Smartass V2 for FXP142 CM10? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

I need kernel with smartass v2 for FXP142 CM10. My phone is Mini Pro.
Or if there isn't one, can you point me in the right direction to compile one.
I know how to download CM source for example.
I don't know which file I need from https://github.com/freexperia.

this should get u started, cm10 kernel source for xperia 2011.

That's what I was looking for! Thank you.
When I have some free time I'll try to compile my version (and post it here if it works fine).

[DEVs come on!][WIP][JB] Android 4.1.1 Compiled from Source[AOSP]

So, here the first JellyBean ROM compiled from source for our Play. I have used CM9 device and vendor trees.
Of course, it doesn't boot.
I have added libgenlock because it was missing and not I haven't compiled sensors and gps. They caused errors in compiling.
Kernel is inside the zip. It's FXP with a modified Ramdisk. In particular I have changed only BOOTCLASSPATH. Here more detailed changes between ICS and JB ramdisk: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739561
ROM:
JB 0.0.1

Says that in OP. I don't believe that any Xperia device has working Jellybean builds.

Yo supervenom great work but the thread should not be "rom" should be "WIP" as it doesn't even boot. Other than that can't wait for stable build but can't help as I don't have android knowledge or proper resources

I don't understand why no one reads the threads before they flash stuff to their phone?

Hi, this is a developers thread, please don't spam it. It says in OP that it doesn't boot.
I thought you got it to boot in the other thread in the general section. Perhaps you can clear up my confusion?
Sent from my R800x using Tapatalk 2
yes it boots but is is not usable.
i can release it but i am sure only a few devs knows how to use it
excuse me if this is the wrong thread to post this but i dont want to open a new thread just for one short question:
i heard that JB needs less ram as ICS did. is that true? that would most likely mean that JB would run better as ICS does, right?
ICS runs good on my play but im always short on ram.

It will run better on our Play.
But to get there, we need functionality before performance.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1790185 there is a boot img for JB can you or someone els try it?

[KERNEL][GSM/CDMA][CM7-BASED] Mjolnir Gingerbread [7/20]

I'm sure most of you have seen Mjolnir on CM9. Well, I'm pleased to finally announce that I have a version for CM7!
I won't even bother trying to put what's working and what's not, instead, I'll just list what I've changed.
Added in numerous Governors
Added sio scheduler
Disabled ALS
So there you have it.
Mjolnir Gingerbread
Oh, before I forget. Once you flash the kernel, let your phone boot all the way. Check your cpu speed with SetCPU or whatever, and make sure it's actually scaling. If not, flash the kernel again. On my phone, it took two flashes for it to take all the way.
Here's my source: https://github.com/lightningdude/semc-kernel-msm7x30/tree/gingerbread
the first yaaay thanks keep going man !!
Good job bro, keep up the awesome work
Tnx dude! Works, and looks fine!

This kernel was based off fxp130 with fxp sources..He can't update because there is no updating to be done to the kernel since fxp stopped work on cm7

If its based of FXP130 shouldn't the camera be working? Or maybe FXP didn't update his kernel sources? bummer.

Use DooMKerneL for normal gingerbread. DooMLoRD is a kernel god here, and I wouldn't dare try to make something better than him, since it wouldn't work anyway.

Is anyone else having camera problems? The memory is allocated correctly to the camera, so it might not actually be a kernel issue. Does it work on FXP kernel?

Camera works with FXP kernel.
I did try logcatting it, one of the errors was that pmem_camera file was missing. It was when I was on your kernel, but it there when i'm on FXP kernel

rage kernel wifi fix for cm10 jellbean xperia mini?

ok, so ive had a good thorough search for the answer but to no avail,so hopefully someone can help!
have an xperia mini running cm10 fxp135. runs really well on stock kernel but unfortunately the governors on the stock fxp kernel are limited. ( no smartass etc)
Im actually specifically looking at the rage kernel 3.2 which i have installed and works perfectly apart from the wifi is "greyed out", so effectively no wifi.
Any ideas or fixes for the wifi would be greatly appreciated. For now though, i will be going back to the fxp kernel as there really is nothing wrong with it, just want a few more tweaks that are available in the rage one!
thanks!
There is a WiFi fix in the thread... Or do you search a specific for jellybean? (There are wifi-modules-signed-zip, for flashing via cwm I think, but Do a Backup before!)
Sent from my SK17i using xda app-developers app
hi,
thanks for the quick reply!
yes, ideally i am wanting a specific kernel for jellybean (other than the FXP kernel included in the rom package for cm10)
the FXP one is perfectly fine, but it would just be nice to have a few more govenors etc!
i know theres a guy who has compiled an extended jellybean kernel for the mini pro, but not for the mini unfortunately.
in terms of the rage kernel, thanks for pointing out the wifi modules! completely overlooked them! i know i have some random modules on my sd card, but cant remember where they are from!! ha!
will flash the kernel (which is really meant for CM9, but seems ok) and modules tomorrow! hopefully if all works well i wont need a specific jellybean kernel after all!
cheers for the help(clicked the thanks) and if you know of an extended xperia mini kernel then point it my way!

[REQ] Munjeni Kernel [XPERIA U]

Hey , everybody.
Could somebody upload the Munjeni Kernel for Xperia U without OC. The version prior to the one present on the forums now.
Thank you.
And could someone tell me how to add hotplug governor to the kernel.
The problem with the present kernel is that set frequencies do not hold.

Values do hold
Just use antutu cpu master
Its munjeni's work
We just cant mod it without his permission

Actually the kernel can be modified, as Munjeni is compelled to release his kernel source code under GPL.
https://github.com/munjeni/android_kernel_xperiago/blob/ics/COPYING
Use this one

Misinterpretation
Folks, Dr Sanket, you got me wrong. He released another kernel for ICS B.10 without OC prior to this recent one with OC.
I had that but I deleted the file and flashed this new one. All I am asking is that somebody please upload that old version
so I can flash it.
And @brainkafka, sorry bro I cat use your wonderful kernel as I am on ICS B.10
Sorry I'll look for a ROM and find a way to flash FTF but it doesn't (different issue)
But please upload the previous version of Munjeni's ICS kernel, not a modded one.

[DEV]CM 10.1 xperia x8 development

Hey xperia x8 users and devs,
I try to build a clean CM 10.1 on my PC
The CM 7/9/10 development thread seems a bit overloaded and I want to collect all neccessary facts, when I try to build CM 10.1.
What will be needed here?
- Manifest files for build a clean repository (which devicetree, display libs ...)
- Which patches were used?
- Kernel configs and additional kernel driver
What will be the aim?
- Get a functional CM 10.1 on xperia x8 with most of the hardware features
Builds for testing pruposes will be posted here in this dev thread.
This thread is aimed for development purposes not for whishes like "Can you make feature xyz working?". It is the main task to get most of the things on xperia x8 working like cam, camcorder, Bluetooth, GPS, WIFI , SD-CARD.

Compiled but could not boot, and t MSM shakira/delta board fully ported into kernel
something was missing.

While we can't see any real contents (source, device config or prebuilt rom for testing) this project is THEORETICAL only, and we can't do more than talking about the NOTHING...
Without any concrete things nobody can help.

go there and see if you can help with something ..
https://github.com/androidarmv6
I saw this project earlier, and Daveee10 opened a discussion about the 4.2 development (it was in the last year).
But you have a working version, why NOT post is?
The users can post feedback, and more member will be join, if they can test it.
As I wrote earlier in pm, I'm not interested in the cm10+ development, especially if need to start it from zero. But I think more easy to make a group what working on one project, if the possible members NOT need to start everything from the beginning.
EDIT: this is not offense, just a suggestion.
