What do you really mean? from where are you accessing and what?
Why you want extract...? for removing any specific app?
If you have a CWM back up of earlier ROM, you can use Titanium Backup Pro for individual apps installation for installing from your earlier ROM....
I just wanted to do it in case I would like to back up to original state before rooting and flashing CM7.

Use checkfus to download original firmware .

If you use CWM you do not back up original as it has cwm and root kernel ,

Ok, I have back up my phone just after root so I have possibilty to back my stock T-mobile brand firmware but with root.
Before I have rooted my phone and flashed CM7 I had T-mobile brand firmware.
I have made nandroid backup for T-mobile firmware but when I am trying to restore it I am receiving the following info:
CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.6
Checking MD5 sums...
MD5 mismatch!
Before I ahve rooted I had:
Android version:2.3.4
Baseband version:I9100XXKI1
Kernel version:2.6.35.7-I9100XWKI4-CL575468 [email protected]#2
GINGERBREAD.XWKI4
Can you help? I have some ideas but I need confirmation.
i9100 and tmobile branded firmware? No idea what you're trying to do there, but to fix the md5 mismatch go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=714114

Nope, nandroid doesn't backup the /efs folder. If you didn't brick it, you don't have to worry on losing the /efs.
Now, I see you're from Poland. If you're willing to have a "fresh" phone, no T Mobile brand, you can follow my guide to put it back to stock (Open Europe ROM) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458
Just flash the files in the thread accordingly, without the .PIT, and you're stock
Ok thanks but I should use some ROM for Poland or it is not necessary and I can get anyone from any european country?

I'm currently in Portugal, and am using an Open Europe ROM. Open Europe is actually better, since it's unbranded and you can switch between Product Codes
ah ok and the files in your thread are for Open Europe?

Yes indeed. In your case, you will only need the Recovery Package, which is XXKI3, Android 2.3.5 and Open Europe

you can simply download a stock rom from e.g. sammobile.com and flash it via Odin.
if you really want it from your parent's phone: you have to root (I think you cannot make a nandroid with stock recovery?), make a nandroid backup, un-root their phone (follow the guides in general's stickies)
Hi guys.
Well I was teaching my friend via FB how to use Odin to root his s3, unfortunately he forgot to mention that he was using the 4g version 19305.
So we have flashed the 19300 files on the device using Odin, and now his phone will only boot into download mode I beleive.
I just want to be able to restore his phone to stock, unroot and reset counter.
ANy help is truly appreciated.
Thnk you.

Why return it to stock? I would recommend flashing an i9305 recovery from Odin then flashing an i9305 pre-rooted ROM via recovery....
However, heres how to return it to stock.

You need it to boot (With rooted) to be able to reset the counter though. It may not even need resetting yet though. Check download mode for info

Hey man, he is using the 19305 model from Australia.
I just need a link that refers me a site or post that will let me download the Stock rom, or any rom that will allow the s3 to be usable again.

Best bet to find your firmware is sammobile.com
Please can anyone help me?
I need to unroot my s3 and put a UK T-Mobile ROM back on it as I am exchanging it for a new one through insurance due to dropping the phone.
The screen still works but has a small crack in it.
Cheers in advance
Go into the general section and follow the unroot guide.
Basically you need to reset flash counter by downloading TriangleAway app (its available here on xda) then just download your official rom from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I9300#firmware, flash it through odin and restore factory settings. There should be in deph tutorial in general section.
Flash official rom with odin
Cheers guys all sorted now
