PerfectPeso v1.7 - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hi I'm a noob at all this even though I joined ages ago but does anyone know how I can can change my kernel to Perfectpeso? Its my first time flashing a kernel and I need help on how to do it. Im currently using the rom GingerSnap v2.3 by neko. And if I flash this kernel will my data, system and everything be wiped?Hopefully nothing will be changed if I flash it.The main reason I'm getting this kernel is because people said its good for games.Thnx

[Q] Happy year!!! one question about flashing CM9

Hey guys:
I'm now running Galnetmiui with siyahkernel which comes with CWM recovery V5.5.0.4, Can I flash codeworkx's cm9 directly via CWM? In his thread..he just states ''Make sure you're running a proper working CWM like the one from CM7''. And after that, Can I restore my Backup using CWM?
I'm sorry if I repeat the question!
Thanks in advance
Yes, that should work fine.

Blurry CWM after udate

I updated to the latest version of CWM on my Photon and all of a sudden my Recovery is blurry running version 5.0.2.7. Has anyone else had these problems? Or found a solution?
I posted same in app and theme section

bump.
Do I need to go all the way back to stock and re-root/unlock?
I just flashed cwm zip via ROM manager and it fixed issue

Same here blurry recovery after using ROM manager emailed Dev hopefully gets sorted out thats probably what description meant by generic support meaning in other words not fully working yet lol

I used cmd and flashed .img file from scratch; everything works again. I'm sure a update is probably on the way until then I'll wait. I think jokerax11 is updating cm9 today hopefully to beta keeping.

How do you flash it through rom manager? I'm trying to help my brother out in another state so I can't do it for him. I did mine through fastboot so I haven't messed with rom manager yet.
just have him search xda for cwm 5.0.2.7 its a zip file so he can flash from the app.

Actually ...ummmm. That didn't work once I tried it.

i went all the way back to stock to be safe. but now all is well i just wont update it
Yeah...just had to reflash the CWM using the fastboot cmd method...I'd really like to try the CWM Touch Recovery once availble..that'd be SIIICK..

I need a lil help

Im trying to flash a kernel from faux the latest one but from my understanding I have to have a custom kernel so do I have to get a new Rom I'm on stock ics soff unlocked n rooted ?
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
just download the kernel zip, go to recovery and flash it as you would a rom. You do not need a custom kernel or another rom
I downloaded it like 3 times n I did do that n nothing
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
did you do anything to check if the kernel flashed right? get "no frills cpu" from the market and check if it lets you go above 1.5ghz
Are you also sure that you downloaded the ICS Kernel and not the GB one?
When its about to install or before install it say faux ics kernel so I know for sure its version 007
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
Yes it does n why does that matter ? Don't mean to sound rude lol

How to install cm9 on sgs2 gingerbread?

Just a question. There are numerous sites on the internet that tells you how to install cm9 on sgs2. Others say that you dont need to flash a leaked ics. Others need you to install . Please help thanks.

Go by the guide on CM9 website. I played it safe and flashed the tar version via PDA in odin. Once that's installed you can then update to latest nightly. I've never had any issues with that process. All the best.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
So sir did you install first a leaked ics or not? Thanks
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Erm not sure I'm a bit of a flasher- holic. More than likely I was on a 4.0.4 based custom rom. If you do full wipes and format system then flash via odin I'm sure you will be fine as that's what I did. Please read CM9 guide though.

I went from stock GB to CM9 nightly without any problem
Well done mate

Using rom manager app you should be able to get latest cwm which you have already.
I would try out cm10.0 stable
