I am running Apex Launcher Pro and have started to notice a problem. When I uninstall apps that I have in folders in Apex Launcher Pro, the icons for those apps are not being removed when i uninstall the apps. I uninstalled roughly 30-40 apps not too long ago and they are all still present in my app folders on my desktop. Is there a way to have Apex remove these icons when uninstalling apps? Currently I have to go and test icons to see if the apps are installed or uninstalled in order to test them, which can be quite annoying if you have a large number of apps.
I am running the latest Apex on a Verizon GS3 running Synergy ROM.
Thanks in advance.
Still looking for info on this.

Try restarting from apex settings

Nope =/
They are not cleared out after a restart. Restarting phone, installing Apex updates, restarting the launcher, or having Apex crash and reload all fail to clear the uninstalled apps.
I am intentionally leaving these in my folders for testing purposes, but I have failed to find a fix. I have paid for both Apex Pro and Nova Pro and have been an Apex user for a long time now. I may have to switch to Nova if I can't figure out what is causing this, but I would prefer to find a fix as I enjoy Apex.

Hello, i'm new to this forum, kind of a noob still with rooting and everything but anyways, just the other day I had a new update for go launcher ex. Everything ran fine until after the update. It won't let me change the effects, go into settings, or change themes. It also still displays icons for APPS that i have fully uninstalled before and I can't get rid of them unless I use Astro to delete the raw files of the app. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Go Launcher several times, but that doesn't work.
I'm running this on a brand new Galaxy Nexus so it might be compatibility issues with the new ICS OS... Anyone else have this issue?
Yep might be a compatibility issue, have you tryed adw ex launcher? i saw it in a post and installed it and have been in love with it ever since

I've tried it out, but I like go launcher because it has an ICS theme for free while keeping all the cool effects and stuff. the problem with adw for me is that i can only set one app in my appdock on my homescreen with a custom icon.. and that really bothers me with the looks. it also doesn't change any of the app icons in the app drawer. prob compatibility issues too. i hope they update both of them soon!
Here is another launcher for ICS. It is like stock launcher but have options like adw and launcher pro ie transparent app drawer, gestures, lock desktop etc.

I'm definitely gonna try this out. Not sure how much experience yyouve had with this but installing as system app shouldnt remove the default launcher your rom comes with? ie most ICS roms come with trebuchet launcher?
No, it installs as normal app and you don't need to move it to /system folder for widgets to show up in app drawer.
good find on this launcher, it feels alot like launcher pro but totally revamped for ics
just needs resizable widgets

I cant believe i missed that, thanks for the heads up, this is quite an awesome launcher i dont think i can go back to anything that doesnt use ics as a base any more
what do you prefer, this or NOVA?
personally on my galaxy nexus i prefer nova..but only because it's more mature.apex is a month newer, but with already a lot of features..nova,at this time, have more features, but i find apex more speedy and i hadn't got any issues or unstability also on gpu-renderized
works great in ICS passion v 12
Guys and girls, just a heads up - updating Apex Launcher is apparently resulting in Force Close dialog ad nauseam - DO NOT update Apex for now or else you'll be stuck. Thankfully I had Avast installed and using the Avast Application Manager I managed to access Apex's App Info page and uninstalled updates, now back to normal but won't update it for now. Recent Apex reviews on Play Store show that this is not ROM-related or an isolated event. You've been warned. (If you read this that is)...

Last night my phone auto updated the apex launcher and exactly what you said happened. I went into clockwork recovery and tried to restore and it gave an error and now the phone seems bricked. It won't boot up beyond the vibrant screen, and it won't let me get into recovery. What should I do?

Title say it all. Now we can save hours of time to re-setup the home screen when we have a new launcher. Copy home screen settings over from one launcher to another. Free app

I copied my settings from apex launcher and went to nova launcher bit when I ran the app, it only gave me the option to copy from a previous launcher and not restore. either that or I must be doing something wrong.

I've got the paid versions of Nova and Apex, I originally went with Nova because that seemed to be the consensus from what I had read, but figured it couldn't hurt to have both.
I love it except for one thing-- my widgets have to refresh/redraw constantly. I didn't see this behavior on Apex, but I've got everything setup very nicely on Nova and I don't want to have to do it all over again. I remember that LPP used to have an option to keep it in memory, but Nova doesn't seem to have it. Anybody have a solution or do I just have to suck it up and go to Apex?
Not to threadjack but what ever happen to ADW launch? Why isn't anyone using it anymore? Now a days its Nova and Apex.
No widget redrawing for me on Nova.
I have four total: Winamp, Soundhound Infinity, Astrid Tasks, and a flashlight one.
I believe it's because Nova and Apex are more "optimized" for ICS. I could be wrong though. I was using LPP, now I'm using Apex free.
Are you running the stock ROM? I'm on Fresh, wonder if it has anything to do with it.

Example of what I'm talking about
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdcLBprkRgk
Tried out nova but went on to pay for apex because it has one option nova did not. And that is to keep the homescreen loaded in memory. I have not had any widget redraws since I enabled that option setting
Hi,
I use latest Nova launcher (Premium) and CM11 (nightly). But the same happened with CM10 stable and nightlies.
When I install new app - shortcut doesn't appear on my homescreen. I remember long time ago (I think that was in ICS stock launcher) - shortcuts would appear. But not anymore.
Automatically add widgets checkbox is checked in the Play Store Settings.
I even reinstalled fully Nova. No success.
Any ideas how to fix that?
Anyone?
