I am running a dualboot setup with rootet stock Samsung ROM, version 4.0.4 with Siyah kernel, and stable CyanogenMod, 9.1.0.
CyanogenMod is running very well, but it will only recieve MMS - but reception is handled very slowly - and it will not SEND MMS at all - and it really bothers me, because I would really like to use CyanogenMod.
It will connect to the network and run HSPDA+ on internet - no problem.
I have tried using the default APN settings that the system configures, I have tried copying the exact setting from the APN I am using under stock ROM, and in stock ROM I have no problem what so ever with MMS.
I have tried using handcent SMS and GO SMS PRO.
It just does not work.
I am a noob - I know.
But what can I do to get MMS to work?
EDIT: I'm from Denmark, and using CBB as provider, in case any danes are in here and know about this provider.
I had the same MMS problem a year ago when I was experimenting with CyanogenMod for HTC Wildfire S, but it was not a stable release at the time. I thought the problems was caused by an early porting attempt but know I simply don't understand the problem.

Questions belong in the Q&A forum, not the general forum.
However, CM9 has a dedicated thread for discussion. There's currently 43,124 posts in there. Others seem to have managed to use it, maybe you can too.

I'm really sorry to post this here but as I do not have 10 posts yet I am unable to ask the question in the development forum...
First I want to say, what an excellent job the dev has done with this rom, it's everything the official Samsung ICS should have been.
My question is how do I remove the clock from the lockscreen, is there a way/fix for this yet?
I have managed to change my lockscreen wallpaper by fixing permissions in recovery but the clock doesn't seem to disable in the lockscreen, any help would be appreciated.
Under settings/display/clock just like the standard rom ?

Yes that's correct but it doesn't remove the clock due to some bug in the custom rom, there's a fix for the lockscreen wallpaper which I successfully applied.

Hi dear..
Was looking for this thread as i am also using the same rom now and some issues to ask...
My probs is fixing wifi proxy server issue..which i couldnt save in resurrection v9 though it was easy in v8.6....
if anyone can address this issue kindly....no need to be rude pls...
There appears to be a bug when trying to use the FM Radio app, it will not function and yes... I have my headphones in.
It's as if the transmitter isn't working? One of the apps I use alot during my walks to work.
Still loving this ROM though, Westcrip has done a stella job!!!
EDIT: This is apparently due to the LP6 Kernel, you can flash to the LPB Kernel to regain the radio functionality however the dpi is scaled to 240 and looks terrible so I'm gonna stick it out on LP6 without the radio app for the time being...
Can not connect to wifi.
Any solution?
Edit: i use lpb kernel

It is a known issue. There is no workaround as of yet AFAIK. If proxy issue is a dealbreaker for you, roll back to 8.6. I'm sure this will be addressed at some point in the future. Keep in mind everything is still alpha/beta, so somethings bork with current releases as some things are fixed.

The creation of this post has ruined Google's search for when you type in "ics remix"...
For months, whenever I would go to a computer/mobile device and type in "ics remix" into Google and get pointed directly to the xda thread that houses the ICS remix Resurrection ROM.
But now that the this side thread was created with the IDENTICAL name as the Rom thread (plus the word "question") - you can only receive this page as a result when you type in "ics remix" into Google now.
Please, can the creator of this thread change the title to something different that doesn't mimic the rom thread? That way Google search indexes will get re-aligned back to the ROM thread.
Hi same rom remix 9.2 same 10 post missing... different question. how can i put a picture from gallery to be a home screen wallpaper in portrait mode (fixed).... if i select portrait it always put it in landscape scrollable and cropped. i ve tried both gallery s
i installed [WIP][ROM][JB 4.1.1][Pa+Aokp+Cm] P.A.C All in 1 ROM !!!!!! Jellybean alpha v12 1/10 from ://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803076 <<< this rom to my xperia ray. but after installing this i cant open my inbox, it said "unfortunately messaging has stopped".....what can i do now?????????
post in the forum thread instead of creating a new thread because generally people using the rom could offer help ! Your problem could be solve by wiping data of messaging app thru settings ---> apps ---> Messaging . wipe data .

I have Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-i9300 and I'm currently running Paranoid Android ROM.
Today I updated from v2.15 to v2.17 (did a factory reset, wiped both caches).
But when in Settings I go to profiles and click on profile settings I get the notification Settings stopped.
Rebooted my phone, but same thing happened again (It did not happen in v2.15).
Can anyone help me?? Or report this to the Dev's??
(I can't because I'm a junior member)

Hello fellow XDA people. My question to all of you is that is it possible to use the Omega ROM meant for the i9505 variant to be flashed and used on this Verizon variant? Like can the following be usable (to those that have or are willing to use Omega and test it out):
- Data (3G/4G and Wifi)
- Wifi Tethering
- Any features added to the XXUBMEA update that this ROM is built from (Such as HDR video recording, more space available, less lag, etc.).
- Messaging
- Call Recording and any other mods added to this ROM
BTW it is possible to use i9505 ROMs on the Verizon variant but I haven't heard of anyone that has tried out Omega so that I can see if they have experienced any bugs relating to Wifi, Data, or other features and mods. Idk if I can post the link but I can say that there is a guide to install i9505 ROMs on this device somewhere in this section.

Edit: You should not flash any ROM not specific to your carrier as there are carrier specific files included. You could lose data connectivity or spam other carriers with errors. There are ways to port other ROMs but those are very advanced tasks.
Yes, flash and use your carriers kernel (important) and add your apn settings, it will work.

Are you sure? I flashed the Omega rom and ktoonsez kernel last night and the rom seems to work, however I have no data. When I tried to manually add my apn settings the 'Access Point Names' option is completely missing from the menu.

I would like to know soon because I'm getting my GS4 either today or tomorrow. If data and everything works then I'm gonna head off and flash Omega. And please give step by step instructions if you can, thank you.
Any help is appreciated.
Anybody tried and tested it out yet? Phone should be coming in sometime soon.
EDIT: woops sorry for double posting.
The Access Point Names setting seems to come and go. When its there, I can put my apn settings in and I have 4g data, but after a while the setting just disappears and I lose mobile data.

EDIT: Nvm you said ktoonsez kernel. Maybe try another kernel or as I said a reflash or something. I would like to know. Phone is still coming, FedEx is being slow today.
I've tried the ktoonsez kernel as well as the faux kernel. I also tried flashing the wanamlite rom just to see if it was just an issue with the omega rom, but I still get the same problem. And yes, I did try reflashing it but the problem is still there.

That's strange. Hm. Hope I don't run into the same problem.
You probably will run into the same problems if all the system apps and config files don't have the necessary codes and designations in it. The RIL lib files are different too amongst other things. That's not to say a ROM couldn't have more universal system settings. Or that you couldn't change the settings/databases/configs yourself.
I've found work arounds for all the issues so far but they aren't novice user friendly. I may do a write up after I'm done my port.

So would data and all that work properly on Omega on the i545? Or would there be things that I would need to configure.

That sucks. I've seen some people get it working I think and a little bit according to kejay except for the fact his/her APN settings come and go along with data. Omega is a really great ROM but I guess I might just have to go with HyperDrive which I've already downloaded but I've heard of a few bugs here and there as of RLS 4.
[EDIT] Anyone got data working yet or anything? Or should I just use HyperDrive? Got my phone like 5 minutes ago.
If this has been answered elsewhere, please send me a link because my work's web filter breaks on the search bar. Conveniently
So, I got the Goomanager notification that CM 10.1 RC2 is available for my S4.
I've been using CM 10.1 RC1 since Saturday, and I quite like it. In fact, I'm only using it until a stable PAC rom is made available, and that means I've got my apps, my contacts, everything on this build.
... But I want to upgrade to RC2, and I don't want to have to re-flash and re-build everything all over again.
Is it possible to flash RC2 over RC1 and keep my apps and settings?

Going from 10.1 to 10.1 RC whatever should be ok with a dirty flash. I would make a nandroid, flash dirty and see what happens. If it doesn't work, restore your backup, if it does, you're good to go.
