Works pretty good. I made this my default note taking app with the quick launch. Watched the video then tried the app... I guess having the ability for creating more/different notebooks is only an iOS feature for now

Nice find, but how the heck do you exit it? Hitting home key seems to be the only way, no settings menu besides the type of pen button?

seems like a pretty limited note application compared to GNote, S-Memo, Papyrus...and smells of lazy iOS port as well...I'll stick with one of the others for now, but thanks for pointing it out
Hopefully it's going to have more options. Like somene said before others have way more options, s memo being pretty much the best but for us that are running custom roms it doesnt work.

Ever since switching to ICS, I have had a small issue with Google Maps. It works fine, except I cannot figure out how to zoom out. It zooms in by double tap, but no +/- shows up to zoom out. Anyone else see this? Or am I having one of those moments?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
Pinch to zoom out.
You're so smart. Me, not so much today. Never even crossed my mind. When did this change?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
I always remember it as pinch to zoom out. I didn't even know it had other ways lol
No idea, but I have always used the pinch method so its just second nature for me.
Please, make fun of me all you want. I'll never close this thread, just as a reminder to myself. I'm not even blonde! (No offense to those of you who are)
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
You can also pinch to zoom in.

You can also go into the options menu & I think it's under labs & enable the + - icons, as well as other stuff
Hi all,
I love my GT and the keyboard dock it came with (plus all the shortcuts). I use them nearly everyday together for taking notes in class, but I HATE that holding the backspace key will end up deleting everything I typed. I wish it would just continously delete until I let go, like the stock keyboard. Is there any way to remove this "feature" or make Swype or the stock keyboard the default for the dock?
Changing it everytime I dock my tablet is annoying and every now and again when the screen turns off it just turns back to the samsung keypad.
TIA

Ever tried SwiftKey X Tablet? It seems to do everything you mentioned so far, some say it has dock support but I wouldn't be too sure. You might wanna test it, the app is free ofcourse. If you feel you like it, buy it

In case any developers are looking for new ideas to fold in....
I would like to see a custom circular menu surround the spen tip when I long press and have about 12 customizable options in the "full circle" menu. It seems like a waste that long press with the pen does the exact same thing as my finger. Something like Pie but full circle.
What do you want to see?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda premium
I'd like to see the AOKP octo lock screen with customizable shortcuts/apps and icons as well as the AOKP toggles in touchwiz roms
How about google wallet? JK I would like to see an option for a stock jellybean note 2 with s-pen capabilities, or maybe a siri like feature that works better than S-Voice. For the love of god im from michigan and have a "normal" accent and that stupid thing CANNOT ever get what I say right, Siri never had any problems during my brief stint on an iphone 5, neither does the google now.
The lmt launcher is only thing I added. That's the only thing the note 2 is missing. Something that keeps you from reaching across the device for the back key.
I would love for the Note 2 to allow any app for the Multi-View function w/out root... =)

Correct Samsung's biggest mistake. Not having the s-pen work on the capacitive buttons.

You can use back and the menu button with the spen, you hold the button on the spen and use gestures. Look at the manual.

I'll ask wugfresh next time I see him about working on something like that.
i really want smart scroll that is apparently coming with the GS4.
It would be nice if we could remap the long press action on the hardware buttons.

Yes I know that they can't add s-pen support to the capacitive buttons. But it is being added to future devices. I use LMT to avoid the buttons in general.

I'd like customization of the notification drop down (remove toggles, remove brightness slider). As well as true TABLET MODE on touchwiz, something akin to Paranoid Androids hybrid set up.
I feel the tablet mode mod that exists now leaves something to be desired. That's not to say that I don't appreciate whoever came up with it to begin with, I would just like a little more polish.

Thanks for this! I got the update through play store last evening. To be honest i'm not a huge fan of the new style, it seems very much like the iPhone version of google maps, which i'm not a fan of. I really dislike how the menu button doesn't do anything.
I went back to the old Google maps. Not a fan of the new one at all.

Love the new maps but I can't find the option in navigation to select alternate routes.

Blame Samsung for that one, Android phones shouldn't even have a menu button.
Is this not being updated automatically through the play store?
It is. Only if you didn't get it yet or what it early

Love the new look. Like how it gives alternate routes with time like Google Now
Like the new look, but HATE that they took some layer features out and also the traffic widgets! That sucks, so for now I'm not keeping the update. I had two traffic widgets. One for work and one for home. Really helpful for everyday I work. I know if I gotta bust A$$ and get moving or can take it easy and just go about my morning. Really hope they bring that back.

Giving it a go now. Didn't realize Gnow had a full page widget, but I still liked my lil traffic lights. One click and they showed green, yellow or red for traffic and the time it took. Pretttty easy to say the least. Giving it a try at least. Hope it works out. Thanks for the info!

I haven't seen anyone talk about this launcher, but it is awesome. Yes, you have to pay for it, but with the amount of customizations available it's well worth it. I know I'm a newb around here, and this post may not be taken seriously, but I thought I'd try to get a great dev paid to keep up such great work. Best feature that I've been looking for for over a year is being able to put widgets inside a folder on your home screen.
And that's my 2 cents. Please don't be too harsh, remember I'm a newb around here.

Be easy on the noob, but this should be in the Themes and Apps section of the forum. Hopefully a mod moves it.
But back to the launcher, looks cool but I prefer TouchWiz, I'm one of those

This is the "Tasker" of launchers. It's incredibly powerful & customizable. Just a bit of a learning curve. But much like with Tasker, once you do a few things, the rest gets a lot easier to figure out.
I actually got frustrated the first time I tried the free Lightning Launcher. And gave up on it the first day.
Read your thread and got the ambition to try it out again.
Really glad I did.
Nova Prime has been outstanding for me, but I was missing some customization options and Nova Prime developer team has not responded to my inquiries. So I'm going to double-down and watch a couple Lightning Launcher videos and figure it out.
I really, really like that it lets you have multiple home screen/profile setups. So if I'm right, I can pull up a different homescreen setup for each Tasker profile I have set up.
Also, there are profile/themes you can download from Play Store that give you some pre-arranged fancy-ass customization. Just to get you started.
Tsf shell is the best launcher I've found.

Not for the faint of heart...
I love Lightning Launcher and can't say I did the first 5 times I tried it. At first, it is very intimidating for those that are used to the normal/simple way of laying out your homescreen/desktop. I have tried pretty much every launcher out there and love the benefits everyone provides, but have to admit, they are all essentially the same ole desktop, offering nothing truly innovative.
If you want to see the power of LLX, are worried about bugs and improvements, check the Google plus community: https://plus.google.com/115359051724948606262/
Again, this is only for those experienced enough that want something absolutely unique. If you are content with basic folders, simply swiping left/right and having the normal desktop setup this wont be for you. If you actually want freedom to make your desktop look the way you want, give LL a try.
LLX
I haven't had any problems with it at all. The customization is still amazing, and everyone in the g+ forum is nice and helpful.
