which rooting method for my SII - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I am not so sure which rooting method for my SII. I recently upgraded the software and many problems like restarting, turning off, lagging, slow interfaces etc.
Not sure how to check the version. I dont want to brick my phone obviously!

I am using MACBOOK to do my phone.
Please help me with a simple rooting method for SII using MAC, and how often to do it.
I would greatly appreciate for your help!
Thank you!!

[Q] Help a noobie root a Galaxy S2

Hi, I'm looking to root my really old galaxy S2, but I'm not sure how to do that even after reading this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1505172). I read through most of it, but because I don't know where to go after looking for the kernel that my phone has.
When I look under "about phone" my phone says Android Version 2.3.6, Kernel Version 2.6.35.11-1209942. My kernel version didn't have a "XXK#" so I didn't know what to do, and I'm not tech-savvy enough to know what to do if I mess up. As such, I'd appreciate any, and all help about rooting my phone. Thanks.

Hello Boomboomer, so in my case i need to use method
Quick root using "CF Auto Root Via Odin", yes?
This will give me only root, what I want off course. And it will be everything what I need.
But as i known life, In future, I will load some other ROMS. This method will be block me with something, or not?
Many regards
Done, I use this method and works!
