Honestly that is rather impossible to do and still be legible and quick. Japanese syntax is not the same as English nor is it something that can always just be reworked via algorithm into english. Plus the system resources would be a HOG.
Honestly, this question shows a major ignorance of how different languages work, especially asian ones. You can't just hold up a book or an app and say "I want this in english" and it magically transform. Context cannot be divined by an app, and context is key.
So, short answer: Learn Japanese, more likely to get you what you want.

I have a problem with the spelling correction build within ICS. I’ll try and explain as good as possible.
Device: Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Android: Stock, unrooted, 4.0.1
Build: ITL41
My system setting is set to English while my keyboard/input language is set to Dutch. I prefer it this way since it’s much easier to look up problems and answers with English as a system language then Dutch (should a problem arise, the chances someone has asked it somewhere online in English are ‘a bit’ larger). However most of my texts are to Dutch friends, so the input language is Dutch. So far, so good.
If I mistype a word, the auto-correct does correct the word to a Dutch word. If I type words correctly, the auto-correct does nothing (and rightfully so). However, here’s my problem. The correct word remains correct, however ICS feels the need to underline it in red, showing it’s wrong. Touching the ‘wrong’ word gives suggestions for correct words, all of them in English.
Is there anyone who knows how to have the system language and the input language be two different languages, yet not have the spellcheck use the system-language?
I hope I’ve explained it clearly, such things are always more clear in your own head then when you type them out!
(If this has previously been discussed, my apologies, I couldn't find it)
Anyone? Having the same issue here. Thanks!
@ppdebie do you have the solution already?
Hi everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to read my thread, and sorry in advance for writing so much. Now I have searched EVERYWHERE, for about 3-4 hours now, with about 200 tabs, and still have found nothing. What I really want is to be able to ADD (sorry about capitalization, just everywhere I look it's always is change, not add) UI language (like the ones in Settings>Language & keyboard>Select language), not adding a keyboard as I already have done that, but a language itself, like Spain Spanish. I have a HTC EVO 3D running Android 2.3.4, now this phone originated in China, so when I do go to the settings and check the languages, there are two languages in Chinese characters, and one in English (Hong Kong SAR China), so a total of three, now when I look at people who bought their phones from other places have so many languages like English, German, Italian and French, but I only have two, I tried using MoreLocale 2, but all it does it replace not add, and when I change the language it returns to default (so I changed the Hong Kong English to NZ English via morelocale, as I am in NZ, and it did change it, but when I changed the language from NZ English to one of the Chinese ones, and then back to English, via the settings menu, it returned to Hong Kong English), I am not too worried about that problem, but all I want to do is add UI languages, would prefer without rooting, but if I MUST, then I am up for it. So is there a way of doing so, if there is, could you PLEASE tell me, I would SOOOO GRATEFUL.
Thank you again and I hope you enjoy your day
I'd like to know this as well.
Running android on my HTCHD2 (does the exact firmware matter?)
and I would like very much so to alter the UI language to Thai.
I realize Thai is not a very common language but my family there just can't read english, especially the kids. I tried some locale changers like Morelocale 2 and it helps make alot of things into Thai, but not the most important thing I need, the UI such as settings and menus. All of that is still in english.
I tried to see if i can download some sort of patch or rom but come up with nothing. So now I'm just gonna bite the bullet and would like to do it myself. Is there a way to just add in or perhaps alter one of the other languages(i'm not gonna use Korean for example) so I can actually make it all into Thai myself?
Hi, I was toying around with google translate voice and have been pretty impressed that I can (clearly) say something then have it translate into another language. Since I work abroad quite often and sometimes get phone calls where at least some assistance with google translate would be really useful.
Is there a way that i can, in more or less real time, have words/sentences being spoken by someone on the other end of a phone call be translated using google translate? (just for clarification, if google translate was able to just take what was being said on the line, and then translate it to text that would be enough; i am not necessarily hoping [yet] for it to translate something someone says into spoken english as someone else speaks another language).
Any ideas would really be appreciated!
Cheers,
-Gaiko
Well, let's get this clear . I can translate from English to Vietnamese, and I do it for free .
What I offer: FREE TRANSLATION
If you wrote an app, and want it to have Vietnamese interface, maybe I can help :fingers-crossed:.
What I get in that: NOTHING
I just want to help. Vietnamese is my mother tongue, so seeing more and more apps providing Vietnamese interface make me happy :highfive:.
About me: I am an embedded developer, but sometimes, I get my hand dirty writing small (very small) Windows and Android apps (for testing purposes) . I got a job, so this translation work is like a hobby.
If you think I can be useful to you, contact me .
Asking a favor, Not programming.
This is not programming related, but is Vietnamese, I think.
If it is, will you please translate this poem ( I think) for me?
thank you
