I'm running an unlocked photon with CM7 nightly build 20120805. It's not showing in RSD's device list, I've tried RSD 5.5 and 5.6, re-installing the x64 drivers, changing the usb port and cable and some nandriod backups, any advice to get back to stock?
The phone is working completely, I just can't use RSD.
Google usbdeview.exe un install all moto drivers reboot computer. Plug phone in let computer reload all the drivers.

Yes, I have reinstalled the drivers.
Maybe a dumb suggestion, but is USB debugging selected and active on your phone? I could be mistaken but, I'm pretty sure it needs to be enabled to be visible in RSD

Thanks for the suggestion, but it is enabled.
Also because RSD mode is loaded before android boots, I don't think it would have mattered anyway. (like fastboot mode and Recovery)

I have been posting (and have had some nice people try to help) in the How to Recover Fascinate from any Brick thread for about a week and can't seem to find a solution. I have also searched the internet high and low looking for a solution with no success. Hopefully someone here has had the same issues and can point me in the right direction.
I rooted the Fascinate using a one click method and was able to get a Titanium backup but could not get into the proper recovery to do a system image. Stupidly, I flashed SP Recovery from within ROM Manager. From that moment on I when the phone is turned on it gets to the "Samsung" screen and locks.
I did my research and found out all I needed to do to fix is install ODIN and reflash the stock ROM again. The problem is that ODIN will not recognize the phone. I start ODIN, pull the phone battery, plug the phone into USB cable, push volume down to get the phone into download mode (Yellow Triangle). I keep getting USB Device Not Recognized errors from Win 7 (64-bit).
I tried installing Heimdall to load the correct drivers but it doesn't see the device either. I can connect my Droid or Droid 2 and Heimdall sees immediately so I know it is not a problem with the software or cable.
I have tried to install the correct USB drivers (even the ones listed on this site). I tried installing Kies and it doesn't see the phone either.
Since the phone is looping at the "Samsung" screen I can't change any settings in the phone as some have suggested. I really do not have any more ideas other that to use this phone as a very expensive door stop. Hopefully, someone here can help. Thanks in advance!!!

Control Panel/ User Account/ User Account Control settings- set to- Never notify- restart computer.
Should recognize phone. Reset to default when done and restart. Windows crap!
Thanks but this setting has always been set to "Never Notify"......any other ideas...please
I don't know nothing about it but the guy said " reset to default and restart (again)??

Followed the directions exactly. I think the OP wanted me to reset to default after I was done flashing. This is so strange....I figure if the people on XDA can't figure this out the phone is doomed.
Have you tried a different USB plug on the computer? Or a different USB cord? Or a different computer?

I had to use a laptop to access my Fascinate because my desktop wouldnt even show it as unrecognized hardware, it was like it didnt even exist... I went in device manager and uninstalled all my usb devices, rebooted with everything but mouse/kb unplugged, installed SDK drivers for Nexus S, rebooted again (probably not needed but better safe than sorry) and I can now Odin into my phone... Hope this helps ya man... sucks bricking a phone
The Heimdall drivers won't work. Kies won't recognize it if it won't boot. There should be an option in Kies to install the driver. Drop down box in the top left corner. Did you try to install your driver that way?
have you installed the driver yet? samsung driver?
Hey Guy
I was trying to find a solution for the last 4 hours. I was running the Neutrino Rom before my display got a hardware error. Before I sent it back for warranty, I installed the original Motorola Firmware so the "unlocked" in the starting display is gone. Now I got my phone back and I wanted to unlock it again, because neither rooting nor installing a custom rom is possible. So I installed the drivers and the phone got recognized in normal mode. Furthermore I reboot it in RSD support mode and Windows 8 installed the SF Flash Olympus thing. I also can use fastboot. The only thing which doesnt recognize my phone is RSD lite so I couldnt find a way to unlock the bootloader. I also started in Admin mode and disabled the Windows User Control thing.... I changed the cable cuz I read it might be the cable. Still isnt working. As soon as I connect my phone in RSD support mode, Windows makes the sound of a connected device but still RSD won't recognize it. Don't know what to do. Is there another option?
I'm running on Android 2.3.4 (Build 4.5.2A-74_OLE-31.20)
It's german Telekom
I don't want to do another RSD Lite Thread but I tried every suggestion in all the other threads.
Thanks alot for your help
Tried on a XP Computer....Not working either...
Which version of RSD are you running?
- Remember to use a rear USB port just in case
- Download and install the latest USB drivers from Motorola. They can be found here: USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA
- Download and install the latest RSD Lite as a computer Administrator (currently version 5.4.4) from here: RSDLite5.6

I couldn't get RSD Lite 5.6 to connect to my Atrix on Windows 8 either. I had to use a Windows 7 computer ( that has all the moto USB drivers installed on it ) to unlock my bootloader. Once you install the moto drivers, and you plug in the phone, you should see it installing usb drivers. If you turn on usb connection (from the notification bar USB options) to SDCard storage it will install more drivers. Then you can open the usb selection menu in the notification bar again and switch back to none. Finally got to Settings, Applications, Developer Options, and enable USB debugging which will install even more drivers.
Then firing up RSD Lite you should see it connect to your phone after that. I just couldn't get it to do it in Windows 8.
forget about it.....
you are locked after servicing your phone
no way to install anything ...
the strange thing is that after connecting the phone serviced
windows doesnt recognize the driver
but evrtyhin is fine with my other atrix 4g.
i dont know what they have done to the phone not even trying to load via sbf works.....
nothing
Heres my issue, when I plug the usb cable in it doesnt connect to the PC. it tries to connect but then Windows say its disconnected. For kicks I went in to RSD and it connected and was able to flash back to stock, (I was on stock but just rooted). I am fully stock now and still have the same issue. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried multiple cables and 2 different PC's.
Thanks for any help!

Hi, thanks for the info I tried uninstalling and when I plug the phone in it pops up USB Connection then goes away and PC say Device unplugged, but phone will charge. Wondering if the port is bad.
In the notifications at the top does it show the USB icon. Can you open it to see the options?

i request to give a solution
My LG E970 does not have an usb connection to the computer.
I tried connecting in fastboot and ADB via command prompt, the computer does not see it.
It says slow charging when connected to a computer, 2 different computers.
I have the LG united drivers installed, reinstalled and rebooted.
I was on 4.4 and I did a restore to stock ATT 4.1.2, still no luck.
I'm out of ideas.
EDIT:
I tried LGNPST from: http://pastebin.com/bRpR3aB6
I put it into download mode and the phone shows "DOWNLOAD MODE" "DO NOT UNPLUG the device until the process is complete"
It only shows that, LGNPST does not detect anything.

It won't let you select anything unless something is detected. Example: "UNKNOWN PORT 01"
And nothing is detected.

Try Kush's universal adb drivers for windows. If you are running Win8.1, make sure it's usb2.0 and not 3.0. If it still doesn't see it, try a different windows os.

I tried the different drivers, still "slow charge mode on the phone." It is suppose to pop up that USB debugging notification on the phone if it senses a computer connection. I'm using windows 7 and usb 2.0 only. Tried on different computer, still slow charging mode.
did you turn on "usb debug" in setting->Develop options?

Good for you. I tried different USB cords, and it still doesn't work.
Well, if you can select USB debugging and charge the phone over USB, but the phone doesn't notice the computer then it may be a damaged USB port... I saw a thread about that on a Kindle I think... But it sounds like software isn't the problem... Good luck.

I recently had the same problem and my solution was to use the Koush Universal ADB Driver recommended by someone else. Prior to that all I could see the contents of my SD card and external SD card on the computer but always had some sort of driver issues and Windows telling me my driver wasn't installed correctly.
Using the official LG driver from the website didn't seem to help either.
OK... I know this thread has gotten old, but here's the final deal... It wasn't "exactly" the USB cables. It WAS the plug. The plug wasn't broken, just very dirty. I cleaned it out with a toothpick and now even the old cord works fine... So if you can't get the computer and phone to recognize each other, try cleaning the micro port in the phone

My issue is that I can't connect to my computer with Windows 8.1 in Download Mode. If I want to flash, I need to find a friend who is using Windows 7. Can anybody help with this?
Other details: I've tried cleaning the ports, using another cable, using other USB connections, etc. When in Download Mode, SDK can't even detect the device. I'm pretty sure it's the fact that I'm using Windows 8.1, but I don't know what to do to fix this problem.
Thanks!

Not sure why you want to put your phone in download mode
If your just trying to connect your phone via USB to mount storage (meaning getting file off the internal storage and sd card), it should work fine.
If your trying to root your phone, you need to grab the android sdk and use the adb commands.

The reason is that my phone is "bricked." I'm caught in a boot loop. The bootloader is locked on my LG phone so I can only get into Download Mode to fix stuff. But I can't fix stuff if my computer doesn't recognize my device. (I can connect fine when my phone boots up properly; just not in Download Mode). I've installed and uninstalled the LG drivers many times, so this is not the issue. What can I do with my Windows 8.1 computer to connect with my phone in Download Mode? Again, I CAN connect to Windows 7 computers, but I don't have one convenient to use, and I don't want to install lots of software on friends' computers...

That is what I would like to be able to do, but it assumes your device is recognized. One of the other posts on the same thread mentioned a similar issue but didn't mention a solution.
I've done some more exploring. I have, again, uninstalled and reinstalled the appropriate LG E970 drivers from the LG support site.
- When I am in fastboot mode, I see the attached image "01 Android.png" in device manager.
- When I am in recovery mode, I see the attached image "02 LG E-970.png" in device manager.
- When my phone fully boots up, I see the attached image "03 LGE Android MTP Device.png" in device manager. At this point, and only at this point, abd will list my phone as a device.
The problem is, I need a connection to my computer from recovery / download mode in case of a boot loop.
Can anyone help?

I've tried to use RSD Lite to go back to stock, but I keep getting f/w failed doesn't go past 1/24. I can get in and out AP FASTBOOT and boot into the ROM. I have full battery, checked the MD5, and tried different USB cables. I don't have a SIM card in it or SD card. Would that make a difference.
Any other suggestions?

You didn't mention whether or not you had USB debugging enabled. Also, if I remember correctly, you had to have it in mass storage mode.

Have USB debugging enabled. I have it MTP mode not mass storage... let me try that.
That kind of worked, but now my laptop with XP BSOD after Fix Unlock Boot Loader puts the phone into AP Fastboot. Going try Win7.
Thanks Draxin!!!
Didn't work in XP, but it's working in Win7.
