no, usb host support is dependent on the kernel and currently the kernel does not support that. usb host is most likely the last thing the dev's will worry about. Stability comes first.

what usb host in motorola has to so with hdmi? It just works. Connect it to mod hub or moto dock and there you go, in my case usb mass storage, mouse and keyboard works like before.

i have seen chinese tablets that can support a usb modem stick...is there an app that i can install on my tablet or phone that can do the same?

Not yet. But you can read in the Development subforum as our great developers keep adding things to the "working" list of the new kernel.

USB extension for?...
Android itself supports USB hardware (such as mice and keyboard if you're referring to that.) But stock ROM and other custom ROMs for the Nook Tablet do not support it. In other words, no.

OK. Well the kernel for android supports it. But I know the stock ROM doesn't support it. I'm not sure if there are any custom roms out there who's kernel supports USB keyboards.

Trying to get USB OTG to work, Have read into it as much as I can and it just doesn't seem to be working?
Could it be my ROM/Kernel That is to blame?

On samsung stock yes... but only thing that doesnt work is ntfs flash drives.... others like exfat fat32 works
