I'm just wondering if anyone have installed this rom and tested games that have not worked before but now work? If it has the same issues then please reply "same" or if it works with free games that did not before from Google Play then reply "works". Thank you
You could just try it yourself

asphalt 7 was a game that was really hard to get working, but the alien droid rom works fine with it after a clean install. if you restore the alien droid rom, for some reason it won't work.
Just go for it.

Opening K.A.T. - Kat Android toolbox, Audio is selected, checked on Speaker Front Boost (DAC L + R merge), click on Apply button
Click on FM34 DSP Reinit button and got some kind of message "Error:Exec error res=1"
Move down to install below audio and check only "HDMI audio and audio after...blah..blah Click Install button
Install Finish message, now rebooting nt.....test mic and it is Working ...Yeaaaaaahhh
Now to test the games apps that my kids keep bugg iinng me about. Some still doesn't work and some that didn't, works now.
What now works is Open Sea!, Turbo Granny some good news.
I like the added selections in settings menu.
So far I like what I see and will stick with this ROM for now for further testing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33059224 in this post I linked the adobe flash apk if you would like that as well.

After loading new BulletProof v2.1.0, there was no keyboard and the personalization button (artist palette button on main screen) goes to google main page.
Since there was no keyboard popup to create messages or do searches, etc., had to download a keyboard from the Market (it just so happened there was an ad for a new Editor's Choice keyboard) so I used that to find related keyboards to download.
As well, the Personalization shortcut/button on the main screen takes me to Google.com.
Anyone else have this issue?
Thx!

go into "tweaks" app, "sense options" and you can change what the personalization button does. always read the first page of the Rom, you would know this if you had. as for the keyboard did you do a full wipe before flashing? thats weird because im typing from that rom right now on my phone and it has the keyboard. wipe everything and reflash is all i can suggest
Keyboard was there for me. Also, the personalization button can be tweaked. Read the thread.
He didn't wipe or read I can see

UGH!
Sorry all -- Though I did read everything to a "T", I missed this:
"CUSTOM personalize button on Sense 3 launcher! (you can choose your own app! Defaults to browser)"
As for the full wipe, I followed these instructions and I didn't put two and two together:
From here you can flash your custom recovery.
Use the volume rocker buttons to move the highlight up and down the menu and highlight "Install zip from sdcard" then press the power button to select.
Now "choose zip from sdcard" then press power button again.
Highlight the downloaded custom rom or the su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip file and press power again. From here I think you have the idea.
Select the appropriate zip file and press the power button to install.
Now you can go back and then select "reboot system now" and let your device boot up.
Check the app drawer and make sure you have an app called SuperUser. If you have this app then you now have root.
Anyway, cheers for the help. I'll know better next time. (Since the HTC Amaze is new to me ... I originally had a Nexus S and was able to root it without any issues ... I thought HTC's method was different and I didn't want to deviate from any of the instructions.)

This rom is based on Stock 1.4.1 + Root + Additional Stuff. It is flashed via CWM.
It provides an easy upgrade for people currently running 1.4.0.
If you are running 1.4.1 now - it is easier to root it using indirect's thread here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1466583
[Disclaimer] I'll not be responsible for any damage done to your NT using this zip.
Credits:
1. Indirect, nemith & Goncezilla - for porting CWM to NT
2. brianf21 & gojimi - for Hidden Settings and HomeCatcher apps
3. AdamOutler, Loglud, hkvc, Bauwkz ... and all NT Devs
Links (do not mirror):
http://hotfile.com/dl/144306077/e77bd97/Nook141root.zip.html
Pre-requisite
You need to have a working CWM - either on SDCard or using the app created by Indirect
To install CWM on SDCard, follow this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1446987
To install CWM using indirect's app, follow this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458630
Instructions:
1. Copy the zip (Nook141root.zip) to internal or external SD Card
2. Boot into CWM
3. Do a backup of your current rom (very important)
4. Install Nook141root.zip - took about 5 min
5. Reboot
6. Go through the bn registration process
7. Press "n" button and select HomeCatcher as default
8. Select zeam launcher as default
9. Use NTHiddenSettings to disable automount, enable adb and unknown sources
10. Configure it to your own liking - replace launcher, debloat etc
Additional Apps Included:
1. Superuser
2. HomeCatcher - thanks gojimi
3. NT Hidden Settings - thanks brianf21
4. NT Recovery Flasher - thanks indirect
5. Zeam Launcher
6. Gapps, Market, Gmail, Talk and VoiceSearch
7. Button Savior
8. Busybox Installer
9. CM Email - replace stock Email
10. Desk Clock, Calendar & Calculator
Notes:
1. This update will wipe everything (data and cache) - so you should backup your apps and data using Titanium for easy restore back
2. This update won't touch the recovery partition - If you want to be able to return to factory state, use NT Recovery Flasher to flash the Stock Recovery image (Comes with CWM and 1.4.1 recovery image)
Can you explain what is the advantage of 1.4.1 ?. Also did you test it to see if homecatcher doesn't kill the N button as it has happened in 1.4.0 root?

Frankly I'm not sure about the real advantage - I only own it for a week +.
I am not sure about the homecatcher problem (use it only at the beginning) and once I set default launcher to zeam - it's not used anymore.
Pressing "n" button will brings out quicknav - then pressing home will go to zeam. Is it normal?
I'm still playing and learning - anyway with CWM, you don't have to worry about messing it up
wanted to thank you for this. I used in combonation with Indirect root and NT works great

I had this installed, and didn't have this issue. Then I installed cm7 alpha, experienced the near brick, and after recovering was going to come back to this rom, but after flashing it I was experiencing the same issue you're having now. I never did get it fixed, just ended up going back to cm7.
I wouldn't mind going back to this until the cm7 beta becomes available, so I'll be keeping an eye on this in case a solution arises.

Use NT Hidden settings. Steps:
1. Check "Unknown Sources" then Back and Click on "Unknown Sources Hack"
2. Exit
3. Go back to NT Hidden Settings and repeat step 1 & 2
Now if you go back to NT Hidden Settings again you'll notice Unknown Sources remains Checked - do nothing and exit.
I have tested to install some apps from SD Card and it works

This worked, thanks! Trick is to do steps 1 and 2 twice... I am still having trouble restoring apps from TiBu. Getting parsing errors when I try to restore facebook, chrome, etc. that I backed up on my captivate. I can install my standalone apk's but TiBu restoring apps doesn't seem to be working, at least for me.

It may not work since you are restoring the backup from another device. Try to restore apps only without data.

hello all respected developers,
your contributions to the photon 4g community and to the android community is wonderful. I hope I won't be pissing you guys off with my questions. Feel free to delete the post if you think its already asked and not worth it.
I'm what you would call a typical end user. Have only basic knowledge about flashing roms and I'm a huge motorola fan. Not the software but only the hardware they give.
Ok now for the questions and problems I face with the roms.
1. I installed AOKP rom with the newest and latest kitchen sink (kitchensink-v2.11-photon7). Installed perfectly.
=>After I installed the rom I wanted to take a picture with my camera, and i dont use an external SD card so i wasnt able to take picture with my camera because near the camera click button it kept saying "you need sd card" which I don't have and would not like to buy a new one.
I feel about 8 gb internal storage is more than enough for a cell phone and don't want to waste anymore money buying useless accesories.
How can I fix this?? I checked the aroma installer there is no option for use EMMC as primary storage. How do I turn my internal storage as the primary storage.
2.Now I thought i would give CNA rom a try, i installed it went perfectly well. Now I went into settings storage and storage configuration just like thebill said, and clicked on the option that says to use internal storage and rebooted phone, now camera works fine here.
=> BUT in this rom there is another problem, i go into settings and try to click on the mobile networks (because i want to edit APN and stuff) what i get is an error that says exactly this "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" .
3. Now everyone says cm9 works very well is very stable. Now i want to see this cm9 for myself. so i downloaded " beta 0.8.1 AROMA - 23/08/2012 8:01pm EST " from www(dot)jokersax.com/developer-pages/jokersax/cyanogenmod9-photon/ It is aroma based so install it directly with full wipe and reboot phone after installing I get stuck in the "dual core technology screen" . I tried various suggestions given here for boot loop problem i cleared cache and data did factory reset try install it again still stuck in boot loop.
now out of these 3 problems solve any 1 for me please.
thanks in advance
CM9 does work well. But, I tried the Aroma version myself and had issues so maybe try one of the others first.

The kitchen sink rom has not been updated in a very long time. All of the roms included are based on our ICS builds. We have since moved onto JB and most will say that our JB roms are much more stable than ICS roms. I would suggest downloading the jelly bean versions of AOKP and CNA and trying them out as they are in active development and getting more stable every week. You will have a better experience with these.

Should be able to go into mounts and storage and select mount emmc or sdcard and connect your phone to your computer. Then you'll be able to put files onto it. I noticed you said you didn't have an sdcard? Are you sure? My photon came with a 2gb sdcard already installed if I'm not mistaken. If its there, choosing to mount usb storage will work too.
well **** it..im gonna install jb like u guys said. Since ics development is stopped i hope gsm works in the new jb.
the mount usb storage doesnt work in cwm get some error (some unable lunfile error) is there way to push files using fastboot?
hi, i just bought an sd card lol and mounted it and installed cm9 beta. Now i got a problem earlier when i installed CNA i messed with the testing tools and clicked something and from there i lost my GSM signal completely gone (got x mark on the signal bar) and after that i did format system n installed another rom and even in that rom i dont get any signal (get x sign on the signal bar) i dont remember what i pressed exactly does anyone know how i can fix it? in the settings status and signal status it says radio off.
Again, you'll probably have better luck with any of the JB based roms. You'll never wanna go back to ics. Make sure you download the gsm version.
But to fix your current setup, you can try going into phone app and dialing *#*#4636#*#* then ensuring the network type is set to gsm auto prl. Set it to that if its not then reboot. If this doesn't help I don't know how to fix your current setup as I don't know what you changed.

I am unsure how to get you back to working in your current rom. Again though, doing a full wipe and installing the gsm version of cm10 should fix you right up as long as you wipe correctly. By that I mean, wipe cache, system, data, and dalvikcache before installing. Sorry I can't be of more help, I've never had to tinker with gsm nor have I left the country with my photon.

UPDATE: had to do a rsd lite sbf flash back to stock to get the radio back to default didn't find any other solution really
I upgraded my SII to ICS. I then discovered that I could change the fonts on the phone, so I installed an app called Fontomiser SP and downloaded a font called AppleGaramond.htm. I decided I didnt like the font, so I deleted it, and uninstalled the Fontomiser SP app from the device.
Now, I find that every hour or so, I get a notification that AppleGaramond.htm download is complete, I look at my list of files in "Downloads" and the file is there again. So, I delete it, then I get another notification that download is complete, and there it is again in my downloads. If I don't delete it, I end up with several versions of the files sitting in my "Downloads" folder.
How can I stop it constantly downloading this file ?
(By the way, I am a complete novice on the android system, so if possible, please keep it simple !)

go to recovery mode wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache and fix permission and reboot the device and see it worked or not
For rebooting to recovery: press volume up, home button, and power button simultaneously and wait for the phone to reboot. Now you have to do what sahil said above.
For cleaning dalvik cache, enter "advanced" menu first.
