Hi there
I flashed 4.0.4 on my Xperia U. When i try to watch LIVE STREAMS, fullscreen button acts like a play/pause button so i can't make the video full (this happens after i start the stream without full screen). If i press fullscreen before play, it goes fullscreen but i can;t make the steam start, even if i push the play button.
Please try on your NXT devices and post results / solutions.
Thanks
I use MX video player for all my video's, online streaming and offline and I have no problems.
What do you use to watch the streaming services?

Ok, so you know how in iOS, your listening to music, and then you head on over to youtube, click a video, your music fades out and your video starts? How come on android it just continues with music and youtube at same time? Is there a setting im missing? Its irritating, because i have to go back and click pause
Thanks!

Actually, I just tried two tests:
Play music with Sony Ericsson 'Mediascape' app.
While the music is playing, press the Home button.
Launch the 'YouTube' app.
Verify music continues to play while the 'YouTube' app is in its menu screens.
Select a video to play.
Verify music stops playing.
...and...
Play music with the Google 'Music' app.
While the music is playing, press the Home button.
Launch the 'YouTube' app.
Verify music continues to play while the 'YouTube' app is in its menu screens.
Select a video to play.
Verify music stops playing.
In both these situations, 'Mediascape' and 'Music' both automatically close as soon as a video begins playing on the 'YouTube' app.
I'm not sure why that doesn't happen with your phone, though.
I'm running on Sony Ericsson generic world Android 2.1.

oh oops i forgot to say that im running the free x10 beta4 rom 2.2.1
I'm on J's CM7 Gingerbread 20c ROM and have the issue. Going through both threads (since I used to be on beta 4) I haven't found much. It becomes a habit with time though. I did however find using the pause on the lockscreen less of a bother than having to go into the app itself.
What im looking for is something like the youtube app . when you are in the internet browser , and you click on a youtube video , the youtube app opens and plays the video you clicked .
Well when i'm on my anime sites , i would love for an app to open up and play those videos i clicked in a much nicer UI as its hard to seek and pause when you have to press the tiny scroller and tiny pause button .

you have to start loading the video in the flash player however

Hi,
I am new to using Android. I am wondering if there is any video (MP4) player that would continue playing the video even when I use the home button to switch to other apps (e.g. check my email etc.) I have a few documentaries/discussions to watch and sometimes minimize the video player to check other information on my phone and the video stops.
I would be grateful if you can suggest any Video players that continue playing when minimized. I know that the Meridian Player continues playing when the screen is switched off, but it stops if you press the home button.
Thank you,
O. O.
(I use a Galaxy Nexus with Jelly Bean.)
Mobo Player puts the video in a small little box when you push the home button, similar to the SGS3 function.

Thanks gagdude That works for me. For others: Ensure you use the zoom out buttons on the box to shrink its size.

Dont know that my title is sufficiently clear, same problem could be mentioned here in Q&A, but i dont know how to search that topic, through which sentence or words.
Anyway, when i am trying to watch a movie in my adroid device (Xperia Sola), sometimes it directly opens it with flash player withing the browser (Btw i am using stock) and sometimes it wants me to open with some apps, like Movies, Quickpic and MX Player. Since i am able to play that video with flash player in my computer, i want that video to be played by flash player, not by some apps.
Actually MX Player is better in watching movies, but sometimes it cant grab the movie, but flash player makes no problem like that.
PS: I unchecked "Play HTTP Links" in MX Player, but there is no such option in stock Movies app and Quickpic.
I would be appreciated for your all possible solutions.
Its may be because sometimes the files to be played is flv so it directly plays in flash player sometimes its different like mp4 etc than browser asks you to choose an app...
And if you want than you can choose flash player as default player than it will play in flash player automatically
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
Then, where is that option?

When ever you try to play a video this type of pop up will appear..
So what you have to do is just tick in the box use by default for this action.. Then select whatever player you want to play default..

Since there is no option to play with Flash Player, i cant shoose this.
I'm experiencing some strange but welcomed behavior of my nexus 10's YouTube app. I'm living in Germany so theoretically I shouldn't be able to watch official music videos on YouTube. at first I tried to search the videos via Google now and open the playing request via YouTube and it worked for some songs. but now I'm able to watch ANY music videos by vevo in the YouTube app. I can just search them via the app and it starts playing. now I want to flash the latest cm10 but I really want to preserve this YouTube/ music state...any advice what I could do to transfer this to the new ROM. I tried to backup the youtube app via titanium and transfer it to my galaxys and play the videos there but I'm not able to watch them on the galaxy s due to the copyrights. so the "mess up" has to be placed elsewhere. any ideas? if we can figure this out I can share these files/or whatever is needed to you guys
best regards dadebue
EDIT: no proxy app or something like that installed...the videos load as quick as my internet provider allows it

dude well i am living in germany too at the moment. And well this is kind of a gap hole from vevo haha well if you search for the vevo app directly in the play store, you will not find it. But i did this with several jelly bean roms, and it always worked for me on any device. Just go to google search and search for "vevo android app" and it will show you the app with a little button next to it saying "free". Tap on that button and it will ask you to open the play store and guide you to the app. And i also says download there and it all works fine :highfive:
I think it has more to do with restrictions people put on your videos as opposed to your tablet.
