Hi Everyone,
I have looked but I do not see any updated reviews of cases for the TF300 with dock. I have been looking at both the Moko and Poetic lines but Im not sure which one would be best. If there is anything better out there could someone please let me know? Price isnt as important as quality. Leather is always nice as it usually holds up well. TIA

Thank you for not answering my question. And I am in the right forum. You are not allowed to ask questions in the accessory forum. I would think that with the number of post you have you would have known that.

We just released our DESIGNO PERFECTO genuine leather case line for the tablet and dock, that is getting positive recommendations and reviews here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787187
Towards the end you will find links about the new design, which we think is really the perfect TF300T case around! Can check out complete catalog here: http://www.caseen.com/Transformer-Pad-300-TF300-TF300T-TF300LT_c_39.html
PM me if you have any questions!
TF300T case
I recently bought an excellent case for the TF300T. I found it on Amazon.Co.UK but as I am new and not allowed to give links I can only tell you the item description. It is:
iGadgitz Black 'Guardian' PU Leather Case Cover for Asus Eee Pad Transformer & Keyboard Dock TF300 TF300T 10.1" Android Tablet
It is excellent value for money.
Dave
I have this one - > http://cgi.ebay.fr/Black-PU-Leather...ccessories&hash=item20ccb69747#ht_3136wt_1397
and i'm realy happy. You can use with or without keyboard attach.
i personally use this one: http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-FlexBo...F8&qid=1354563672&sr=8-47&keywords=tf300+case
very slim line.

I have one like this except for the color, mine is a brown leather, and i'm really satisfied with it, paid maybe a buck more than the one you linked to.
Easy access to all ports, keypad portion detaches easily.
Hey guys,
Im also looking for a dock friendly case for My Asus TF300T. I want to be able to close the case with the dock still on. Dont care too much for the tri-fold snap ones. I dont want it to be too bulky because I do play games undocked, but use the dock to surf and work. Does anyone have these?
Thanks,

Or this one.....would it work for a TF300?
http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-FlexBo...9&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=poetic+flexbook+TF300
i bought this one on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Transformer-Keyboard-Portfolio-Manufacturer/dp/B007ZE257U
i like it, it's bulky but good, i want it to be bulky for protection in case i drop the thing
i mean that's what a case if for right, protection?
it also has slots for two full size SD cards
and a slot for your business card,
some people are saying the elastic band (holding the keyboard in place at the top) blocks the charging port
the strap is not blocking my charging port......yet
when the leather holders at the bottom loosen up in a few months the keyboard may want to slide further down, and that would cause the strap at the top to block the port, like i have read people complaining about
but RIGHT NOW everything is perfect
i give this case 2 thumbs up, and i recommend it
i added some pics below so you can check it out
i saw those too. it does look nice, but youre right its kinda bulky. i would like to be able to quickly dock/undock too. Thanks for the info.

Hey all,
I found this on amazon. Thought maybe some might be interested. It's a cheap alternative and I've already placed my order for it. 9.58 isn't alot to spend and that's all i figured I'd lose. I ordered the brown one but there's a black one too. Might be a cheaper alternative to the tuf-luv case since some were worried about the bulk. I'll update this once I receive it and give you some pics.
Since it won't allow me to url tags or give out the url, search for Navitech + Asus and you should see what I'm talking about.
Let me know what you think!
This looks JUST like the Elsse Premium Synthetic Leather Case (there's a thread about this elsewhere in this sub forum). They were having a discussion there about whether or not the case would work with the dock as well, and I guess the answer would be yes, if you unfasten the velcro?
Can anybody confirm?
Is this what you mean? Looks good if not a little thick when all combined.
Anxious to hear any reviews.
Yeah...that's what I was talking about...apparently they must have had a huge messup with the price because I got one yesterday for 4.99 + 4.49 shipping....they've sent it and it looks like it's coming from the UK...anyhow...the 4.99 are gone and they've got only the 19.99 left. I'll give a review once I get the case...even if you undo the velcro, you can still to a material store (joanne fabrics, etc.) and get a longer velcro strap to hold it together. Thanks!
Wouldn't the rooCASE Slim work the same way?
http://goo.gl/V0RMe
roocase does not do the samee thing at all; this has a case for the tablet, then also for the docking port and then they finally work together somehow.

Looks like someone gave it 1 star on the Amazon product page. According to the reviewer it does not accommodate a docked tablet too well.

Looks like the reviewer may have a legit point. If you look at the sideways pictures, you can tell the tablet is not docked. The tablet hangs over the edge of the dock by almost an inch. Anybody who has the tablet with the dock knows that when it is closed, there is almost no overhang. I know I won't be buying it.
With that said, if anyone knows of a better case. Even one that would store the dock and tablet separately, I'd like to know about it.
ilgadets,
If you're interested in a sleeve case, I recommend this one:
http://www.overstock.com/Luggage-Bags/Wenger-Swiss-Gear-Legacy-10.2-inch-Tablet-iPad-Netbook-Slimcase/5804731/product.html
It has two zippered pockets, handles, a removable shoulder strap, and pockets on the front and back,
and it fits the Transformer and keyboard dock (separately) perfectly.
The handles can be slipped into the pockets, but that adds "bumps" that I didn't like.
I wanted the thinnest possible case, so I cut off the the handles and the triangular clips for the shoulder strap.
I think this is one of the best solutions for carrying the tablet and keyboard separately.
Regards,
Eric
FWIW - I grabbed one from best buy for an HP Mini 10 and it works perfectly. Fits very snug with the dock, and i feel safe carrying the tab around in it. Also has a zip pouch for a cleaning cloth, HDMI adapter, headphones, and other small items.
Was about $25 iirc... so a little bit more than what you're looking at here.

I have the exact same one, mines black and kinda has a 3D cube kinda pattern on the front. Anyways, I'm an employee, so mine only set me back $7. BBY employee discount is changing though, so that won't be the case in the future.
Anyways, case fits great, holds tab or tab+keyboard excellently.

ive been looking around here and amazon trying to find a thin(and i mean as thin as possible) case for my TF. I see these roocase and same ones from a different name but they still seem too bulky for my taste. Curious if anyone else has seen something.
Not worried about material used or drop protection.
I use the sikai case since 2 weeks and I am very happy! It 's thin , but I don 't know if their are thinner cases!
The ASUS one is the thinnest I have been using. I think its basically the same or only a MM thinner than the sikai but its more money and I dont know if it can be built much better.

I'm on a quest for something of the same design as the sikai or the official asus case, but allows for docking....
The strange thing is that the official Acer iconia case is pretty much the same design, but is open at the bottom, but it stays in the case fine because it's such a tight fit. Hilariously enough, the Transformer, which actually has a keyboard dock, is closed at the bottom and so doesn't allow for docking.
Surely it's not that hard to do this?

The Roocase Slim-Fit can be found under different maker is even less money. I just ordered one under the brand poetic (I think) for a about 20 bucks.

thanks for the link. that does look right up my alley. Kind of wished it had a pouch for a cleaning cloth too but meh. Had to order a new bag for work so ill see how it fits and base my choice off that.
looks magnetic. i see no straps or "snaps". Compass interference is important too.
Hoepfully the compass thing will be a non-issue in the next update. I am currently on the ASUS case with velcro but I previously had a magnetic case that my girlfriend is now using and it never caused a compass issue until the 3.2 update. And its obviously the case because the moment I take it out it works fine.
Something changed to really increase the sensitivity of the compass, hopefully they dial it back it bit in the next update. Honestly though, its amazing they have a compass that sensitive in it, Ive got some higher end equipment for camping that doesn't detect that small amount of magnetic interference.
Like incase, speck, ect... that cover the back? This would be awesome.
I too yearn for such an accessory.
I searched the TFP Accessory forum using the search function, and this yielded no desirable results.
I've seen people with iPads have nice tight fitting hard cases and I am jealous.
For now I mostly want something that I can use along with my keyboard dock, and something to prevent my TFP's back from scratching on the surface of desks (even the smallest grain of salt will do damage) when I am taking notes.. and hope I do not drop it unless its its the carrying case.
I plan to just get this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006ZPPC1G/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A127GCSIQ9QZ6G
It fits the keyboard and will prevent stuff from scratching the surface.. Won't do much for impacts though
until then..
Shoot, thats what I thought. I did get a skinomi I just hope I can get something to cover the back from small bumps...it always tends to happen

Lol, that is a generic case. "For the transformer prime". Nice try tho
I bought this hard case:
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
Internal dimensions now that I have it in my hand are:
Case: 26.8cm x 19.1cm x 3-4cm
Prime: 26.3cm x 18.1cm x 2cm
As you can see, it's a pretty close fit in theory. Have to wait 5 days before I get my Prime to confirm it's a good fit.

No, simply put there are no hard cases special designed to perfectly fit the prime. For scratch protection however, I recommend a Skinomi.
Why not just buy a nice leather case where the tablet sits in all the time? Don't even have to expose the outside shell.
Thanks guys. Yes, an exact-fit hard shell is what I'm looking for. Seems like there aren't any. I have a skinomi. I really want a hard shell. I'll keep waiting.

I'm not a fan of having an ultra slim, beautifully made device and keeping it in a case all the time.
I like to feel my tablet or phone in my hands and just use a case for transportation purposes.
I know you said you where looking for a hardshell type case, but I found these. They cover the back with a cover for the keyboard as well.

Any updates on AN ULTRA SLIM SHELL HARDCASE that is actually "for sale". I've run across a few in development? Anybody?
If you look for "sikai leather case tf201" on Amazon, the case I'm going to order next week there looks pretty good. I would post a link, but I am too new to the forum.
I'm planning on getting one of these. I live in Okinawa, Japan but will be coming back to the states next week, so I plan on ordering it for when I think I'll get there. It has a leather cover, and a hard plastic back part of the case, and fits with the dock. I have been waiting for some time on a developer in the forum to take his very promising hard case to "beta" or to just plain old buy one off of him, but I am tired of waiting for a good hard case. I think I'm just going to get one of these. I'll post a review once I get this and have a couple days of observation. I'm currently using a cheap, faux leather case which doesn't look bad. However, it offers little protection from falls and is beginning to tear apart.

Maybe I'm using the wrong search words I don't know but if anyone knows where I can find one please post a link. This case has been great I have a dock but don't use it as much as I thought I would, I just need something simple like this, it feels real nice to hold also, its been one of the best purchases I've ever made. I want the case to cover everything but the slots no corners left open, everything covered except plug holes, the type that has the rubberized gel silicone type feel to it. Here is a link to the one I have for my Galaxy 10.1, I'm looking for something pretty much the exact same as this Protective Silicone Skin Cover http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0056397UK/ref=oh_o04_s00_i00_details

Why would someone build a case for a discontinued product?
It's not been discontinued. It's still in production.
I just ordered this for now. http://www.amazon.com/TF201-Transformer-10-1-Inch-Leather-Acase/dp/B006OGMGVA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1330055806&sr=8-3
Solid choice...
Great choice. That's the case I have and I've been very pleased with its quality, light weight, and snug fit. I also like that it is completely cut out around the speaker (identical competitor cases from Poetic, Mako, and others are not). You can also charge it while it's in the case and closed! Trust me, you'll be very happy with your choice.
Saw this in the china site. I didnt come across in the accessories section so i decided to post it here. Couldnt find it on ebay either.

I was going to ask the same question!
On ebay, I only see the match dock version which is meant for both tablet and dock combined. It is pretty nice but I want something w/o the dock. It would be cool if they combine the two designs by just making an adjustable strap or fastener in the back (the crease that holds together the part on the back of the tablet and the front cover) that can lenghten to accomodate the keyboard and shorten when you just have the tablet. That would be perfect.
Edit: Actually I am mistaken, the one I am interested in is this one not the one in the OP.
