Green LED starts flashing, but no messages - Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

I believe this has only started happening after the most recent update. What I am experiencing is that my phone will suddenly start flashing the green LED as if there is an email/text/notification, although there is no ringtone or vibration. I check my notifications and there is nothing new. I manually check all my email and text messaging, and there is nothing new. The green LED keeps flashing unless I restart the phone, or I receive an actual new message, which I can just force by sending myself a text.
Has anyone else experienced this?
P.S. It may be worth mentioning that I was chatting on Google Talk as this happened just now, but the chatting was on my computer and not on the phone, the phone was just sitting on my desk and locked. This has happened to me at least 3 times before today, but I can't recall whether I was on Google Talk on my computer at the same time for those occasions.

Try pulling down the notification bar . Sometimes this happens to me

I did that. No help. Like I said I did various things, the only thing that makes the LED stop is to actually receive a message or restart the phone.

If you open gtalk on your phone, are all messages up to date, including the ones while on your computer? It may be running on the background and flashing to let you know you have a new im.

I did that as well. The messages were actually not up to date, they took a few seconds to catch up, I thought that would do it so I backed out of GTalk, but the green LED was still flashing. Locked the phone, LED still flashing. Had to send myself a text to stop it.

I've had this happen even before the update. I've figured out that if I pull down the notifications bar and go into settings it stops blinking. No idea what's causing it though.

I had this happen one time before the update. I was already in the process of opening up the app which received the notification, and the notification didn't go away until I got another notification. Haven't had it happen since. Probably just a timing error in the Android system.

Text issues

Recently my thunderbolt has been sending 4 copies of the same text message to everyone. Has anyone encountered this problem or know of a fix?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Mine sent a message three times today. Not sure why. Using Go SMS Pro.
This is a Verizon network issue, along with several others regarding the thunderbolt. Hopefully it will be fixed soon .

I'm having a different kind of texting issue.
Sometimes when people text me, I'll pull down the notification bar to reply, write my message, and try to send. But the "Send" button is greyed out! I have to close out and reopen for it to work again.
Are you running a custom Rom or a different sms app than stock?

Stock for both.
EDIT: I just realized you probably might not have been talking to me. Oops! If you were though, disregard this edit.

Yes that was directed at you. For the little time that i was on stock i was noticing that too. I think that it is a bug with the sense text. I disabled everything in stock sms and started using go sms, seams to have fixed it for me.
Sense seems to have some issues updating it's texting widget for me, I'll get the notification for a new sms, I'll go to my widget screen to read it and it won't be there, it's not until I go through the notification bar to read it that it shows up, kinda annoying.

Htc sense authorization for facebook

I cant get the notification to go away, or get it to actually authorize. Anyone found a fix? Stock htc amaze, just got it today. Facebook works and all but notification is annoying.

Which authorization? I'm trying to follow what you're asking.
Have you tried restarting the phone?
When i first started my phone out of the box today, i logged in to facebook to sync contacts. I got a notification saying
"Authorize htc sense to access facebook". I tried many times and it says sense failed. I cant remove the notification now.

Try this, restarting the phone first.
If it's still there go into
settings>applications>manage applications>facebook for HTC sense>clear data
Restart again just to be on the safe side.
Then log back in.
Let me know how it goes bro.
Tried that, and didnt log back into facebook but notification is still there

If you just got your phone and don't mind wiping data how about a factory reset?
yeah I'm going to try that, but I'm afraid as soon as it boots up it will ask for it again. It asks for it when I add and remove synced accounts too. I have no idea. I'm surprised nobody else has had this issue so far.
well i reset the phone, as soon as I tried to add facebook account to my sync list (not the facebook app), it did it again, asking for authorization and now it's sitting in notifications again.

I honestly don't know what the deal could be. Sorry to hear you're having such bad luck with it.
Reboot, clearing data and a reset still didn't help.

Nothing from tmo yet, but task manager ending the Facebook for sense removes the notification, but after reboot it comes back, so if nobody else is apparently having this issue, I'll return the phone for a new one.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using XDA App
I had the issue. you have to hit the notification and wait. Do it before bed or something with the phone plugged in, eventually it will time out. I did this a couple of times and it went away. Also, Check your apps on facebook from your desktop, if HTC sense is already authorized, try removing it, then allowing the mobile app to re add it. If you go that route, I'd clear all data from facebook and uninstall the app (it's seperate from facebook for sense) and then deactivate the sense app from your facebook on the desktop before you readd your facebook account to the facebook for sense, then download the full facebook app. I'm getting sick of everything trying to incorperate facebook into my life.
^ Thanks man, you gave ne the idea of looking at the apps setting in facebook, and sure enough, i had platform apps turned off. I turned it on, and tried the authorization again, and voila! it's gone!

Authorize HTC Sense
Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same problem. The Facebook app seems to work fine but I get the Authorize HTC Sense error in the notification bar. When I click on it, I get "error occured with HTC Sense, please try again later".

Rom Rooted? Stock? S-on? S-off?
I had a weird issue in meanrom where sometimes i'd get kicked halfway through writing a text message to the home screen and if I go back to that conversation without restarting messaging it'll type like as if overtype was on and it would just type over what I had before hand and would stop at the last word.
This happened to me when I was running an over clocked kernel, within the first hour.
Haven't run over clocked and hasn't happened since.

Force Stop Android System

I was wondering if an app can be developed to be able to force stop Android system on command without going into notification pull down and holding down on wifi then clicking app info everytime.
I want to be able to get rid of the wifi notification and beats notification to free up space.
Thanks

I'm relatively sure that force stopping android system is a bad thing. I think that there are mods for removing the WiFi notification around here somewhere though.

For the persistent WiFi notification have you tried to go into settings and untick the notification, never auto turn on wifi, and turn on wifi when launching apps or something like that I heard that helps stop the nagging

[Q] Lightflow constant LED?

Hello everyone,
Okey when I had my Nexus and used the Lightflow app, and a certain notification popped up in the notification bar (that notification was setup in Lightflow with a blinking LED) with screen on it would also blink.
On my note2, if my screen is on and I get that notification, it doesn't blink. I have no idea why.
Anybody familiar with Lightflow? Any ideas how I can make Lightflow blink with screen on?
Sent from my AK-55
Have you checked out Lightflows settings to make sure that you have that checked? Also that may only be a option in the paid version of Lightflow. Im not very familiar with it but it should under settings I would think.
Edit:
Just treated it for myself and it works perfectly on the free version. Click on the app in you app drawer, click settings, enable root mode, enable Samsung mode, then set your apps up.
I tested it on a low battery and it wouldn't quit flashing or give me a notification to turn it off like it does with email and other apps so I had to set it to go off after one minute for the low battery warning. I think the only reason it didn't have a pop ip was because the battery was already at 9%. The light stayed on the entire time the screen was on also.

No problem, its a bit annoying when it wouldnt show the notification for the battery so you may have that problem in the future or it may just be cause I tested it with a low battery.
