How to add more maps for Sygic 12.0.1 - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

Can anyone advise? I have Sygic 12.0.1. First time when I installed it straight away downloaded the Singapore map for me. This version is not like the previous which you can choose additional maps from the Sygic Downloader. I dont have this Sygic Downloader. I tried to reinstall but I can only get the Singapore map. I would like to have Malaysia and Thailand map as well....

Press menu button, go to My Sygic, Manage Maps. Download Map from there...
Hope this help...

map caching could be offline navigation or just another cache to see the maps quickly.. someone should try it and report.
Is navigation supported in your country? The maps itself works just fine. It downloads and can view offline on my phone.

Yes, I could view the cached map through brut. However, the offline navigation doesn't work. Every time trying to find places or directions, the screen just stopped there with no response.
The online navigation works fine here. I am just wondering, could this map really supply offline navigation services?
The navigation app works but without sound. Don't remember wether the places worked or not.

Maybe your try to uninstall Google maps and then reinstall it from market.
It's a bit confusing to got this error while updating google maps?!?
Maps don't use videos and market also?!
If this problem anyway is there, maybe the market saved a wrong option to open updates.
So go to: Settings>Applikation>Running Apps>All then clear the data from "market"

Thanks Hannibal for the quick reply. I tried to do what you have mentioned, but its not working. So I downloaded 5.11 from internet and installed it on my SGS2. But still there is no navigation with the maps. Showing navigation is not supported in your country. How can we bypass this?

Sorry but I think you must have a look for an alternative navigation.

[Solved] Offline Google Maps Availability

Q: Is there anyone who knows what map areas are available Offline with Google Maps 6.9.0 for Android?
Background: With Google Maps 6.9.0 it is possible to make certain maps areas available offline. As for Europe, this seems to be dependant upon where you attempt to make this happen. Most of Croatia (except Zagreb) seems to be unavailable, same goes for most of Italy except major cities.
The only way seems to select area with sea as most part of it. It's weird, I don't know if this is a bug or no...

Thank you, just what I was looking for.
Wonder why Italy and Croatia is missing, though...
downgrade
Is there any possibility do make a downgrade?
The offline maps arenĀ“t aviable in Brazil.
How could they make a mistake like that.
ridiculous!
with the previous version i saved a couple of offline maps without problem. after upgrade, all the savings has lost, plus i cant get map for italy now, and i am going there for travel in a week time! how ridiculous!!
downgrade worked for me
I got hit with this too, I don't have a cell plan in Brazil and was relying on cached maps to get around.
To fix it I completely uninstalled the Maps application. Then searched for version 6.8.1 apk on google. There were several places to download it from. I then side-loaded it on my SD card and it is working again with the Labs feature.
What does side loaded mean?
yeah, its possible, and I have downloaded a map and used it as well..

Offline mode doesn't work very well; if you set data connection off and restart your phone for instance you will not longer be able to access saved maps.

how do I set navigation to go to Igo?

I got Igo installed and working but when I use say yelp (app) and click on find direction, it gives me a list of everything else IE Navigon, Google maps etc.. but I don't see Igo as an option.

[Q] Dell Venue 7 Navigation inop!

Hey all, this is my first post on this forum. I bought a Dell Venue 7 for a tablet install into my vehicle to replace the radio. The tablet is in and everything is working but the navigation! When I try to input my route, google maps just sits in a constant "searching for location" state! I've searched this site and googled a ton and can't return any solution. I've checked the location services and tried my luck with some apps promising to fix gps location service, but no luck. The tablet is stock 4.4. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I tested it using the app. It is only able to see one satellite at best. I downloaded "tetherGPS" and it is able to lock onto the position, but it won't display real-time position. It won't track it, I mean. Really irritating when trying to navigate because it won't track past my front door!

I have a Dell Venue 8 and gps work fine. I think you need internet to use google map. If you want to use in your car without internet then you need to download free or paid offline navigation app. BTW, I use Sygic offline map and it work very good.
