Hello all.
My SGS2 is stuck in a boot loop. It was on OMEGA AOKP but I wanted to return it to stock so I did a full wipe and flashed through Odin and now it is stuck.
Any ideas?
Thanks

For boot loop have a look here => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1108499
Maybe should only have to wipe data (do a factory reset) in recovery and flash the ROM again.
Good luck !
after you flash the rom thru odin take off the usb cable and go to recovery by holding volume up + power botton + home botton, thru there wipe data factory reset than wipe cache and dalvic cache than reboot the phone... good luck

Ok so my Galaxy S2 i9100 arrived today!
I began by flashing VillainRom 1.1 and then decided to give Litening Rom a try, fired up odin, selected the rom and hit start. It completed but instead of rebooting the phone has gone into an endless reboot cycle, just showing the boot screen over and over.
I pulled the battery and am reflashing now, it that doesn't work where do I go from here?
Cheers
Edit: Nope, still not booting up properly
You go to the OP of the VillainROM thread and read the words in big red letters.

So if I reflash VillainRom then enter recovery, wipe user data and THEN install Litening Rom it should work?
Or have I permanantly screwed my phone?
Edit: So I reflashed Villain and it booted up fine, I went into recovery as suggested and selected wipe user data. After that finished I held the power button down until the phone turned off, then booted into downlaod mode and flashed litening. Same problem occurred, I tried this two more times but both to no avail.
What am I doing wrong?
Cheers
flash to stock KE7, then boot into recovery, select wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache, boot into download mode, flash lite'ning rom, then then it should work 100%.
oh and btw, as long as you can boot into recovery/download mode, your device isn't bricked.

Sorry to seem like a noob here... but a few quick questions, What does KE stand for exactly and where can I downlaod a stock version from? Cheers
KE means after KD but before KJ ,just as A is before C .
Stock roms dev page .

Worked brilliant, thanks
I had a similar problem, but I solved it by just booting into recovery mode, wiping data(/factory reset) and dalvik cache and then just flashing then ROM through "download" mode.
I did not have to flash any stock ROM prior to that. Just these two simple steps!
Hello guys,
Just got my new I9100 yesterday.
Phone Specs:
PDA: I9100XWKL1
Phone : I9100DDKL1
CSC: I9100DDKL1
I flashed CF Root I9100XWKL1 and rooted my phone. Later I downloaded official MIUI and flashed it via CWM Recovery. Wiped cache and Dalvik cache. Now the phone is stuck at MI logo. I just hear the galaxy sII startup tone and the phone shows logo and does not moves ahead. What to do now guys? Have I went somewhere wrong?? Guide me
Try reflashing the rom without any wipe.
Or boot into recovery if you can & do a wipe/factory reset.

Done. Booted now after factory reset Thanks
As strange as this may sound, I usually wipe cache and dalvik before flashing the ROM...I had similar issues with CM7 when I wiped cache and dalvik after install. Enter recovery again, wipe cache and dalvik and flash ZIP, then reboot and see...
Otherwise, the only other possible explaination is that the first bootup does take some time...but usually never pauses or stops the animation.

Hmmm that's not very strange. Also I was considering that first boot will take time as dalvik cache is prepared and then system gets running. But the wait time was abnormal in first case.

Hi guys,
I just flashed criskelo rom to my phone, but I tried to do a hard reset using the code (*2767....) and now my phone is stuck on the boot screen (SAMSUNG). I've waited a long time already, left it over night and nothing.
Also I tried to recover the back up I made with CWM, but I'm again stuck on boot screen...
Any ideas on what I can do??
Thanks

Try either flashing a stock firmware through Odin, or go into recovery and format /system in addition to wiping data, cache and Dalvik, and install the ROM zip again.

OMG THX...
I just flashed a stock firmware through ODIN and it's ALIVE!! Thanks...
(before i flashed on ODIN I restarted my laptop and it was stuck on BOOT... its like a curse omg... i had to go to safe mode to make it work again...)
Its all working now thanks
EDIT: Well... i rooted the phone again, flashed the rom, but this time I tried to make the wipe cache and factory reset through the CWM (volup+home+power), but I got stuck on boot screen again.... Guess I'll have to stay with the rom but without wiping it

If I remember correctly, Criskelo ROM does not require you to wipe anything if you're coming from a stock ROM (it does everything through the install script). So just install it and live happily ever after
getting stuck on the boot screen is normal...i did twice already while flashing new rooms...usualy for forgeting to wipe. reflashing the stock rom always works.
Hello All,
I've searched around and wasn't able to find anything that helped. I had the leaked ics rom on the phone (with no root and stock recovery) which worked fine for several months, then the other day the phone crashed and now it only boots to the white Rogers screen. I've tried a physical battery pull and still nothing. I've also tried flashing a stock rogers flashboot and it does succeed but still doesn't make it past the white Rogers screen. I can still get to stock recovery and Flashboot mode but i can't seem to get it working.
I appreciate any advice to help me out. Thanks.
after you flash a stock with rsd enter in stock recovery and delete cache (and dalvik?), then reboot

Wait until battery 0% then boot up with Volume Down+ Volume Up, select AF Boot. Use RSD lite.

Only option I have is "wipe cache partition" and "wipe data/factory reset".
I've flashed stock and then wiped cache partition but I still can't boot past the white Rogers screen.

I presume you have tried taking the battery out and outting it back in again,
If you can get into recovery, wipe data, wipe dalvik cache and cache.
If you cannot get into recovery, flash cf-root first. After that, enter to recovery. Wipe all and format system. Flash dlj5 again with ODIN.
Greetings.
thanks guys ! I did wipedata/factory reset and it got solved
