[Q] ViewSonic VPAD10

Hey I have a ViewSonic VPAD10 that I picked up from a friend. It seems to have dual boot for Windows 7 and Android 1.7 i think.
Is there a way to install Android on the NAND, for example Honeycomb?
Also, does the ViewSonic ViewPad 7 applies to the VPAD10....for example the ROMS available?

Assumed you've search but missed the response, you would've learned to NOT do it but you could still try your luck & ask the folks at the Viewsonic 10" Tab sub-forum for what you wanted to believe in.

[Q] Ubuntu native

Hey
First, sorry for my bad english : I'm French.
Is that possible to make a native Ubuntu for Atrix ?
I mean : is that possible to make my Atrix boot on Ubuntu instead of Android ? Or is that possible to make a dual boot ?
I found that, related to the Optimus 2x which has the same hardware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1213670
Thank you guys
(sorry if there's already a thread speaking of that : I searched and didn't found anything)
As far as I know, there's no way for the Atrix to boot natively into Ubuntu instead of Android. The best you can do is run it in webtop mode which means both Android and Ubuntu are running at the same time.
Check here for further information: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1119555
Yeh I think getting Webtop2SD to work is probably the best idea as it utilises the 'phone in a window' feature.
...however I was just reading about this guy who's testing an app to boot into Ubuntu from android, check
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405454
Thanks for the answer !
I've succeed in booting on debian with debondroid, that's (in my opinion) too laggy (I think that's because of VNC...).
I haven't god a lapdock or a webdock :S
EDIT :
The best would be to make the Atrix boot on a ubuntu with all the suitable drivers. Do you think it's possible ?
I found that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1213670 very interessant. Any chance to port that on Atrix ?
And is there a way to launch the webtop on the phone's screen ???
I`d imagine its possible but would require someone who knows what theyre doing (not me!) to put the effort in. Did you try that app that puts ubuntu within android on that link? Havent tried it myself but looks close to what yr after.
Also theres a thread in the Android Development secction that is an HDMI hack that lets you run webtop by just plugging yr HDMI cable into a compatible screen, then you could also take advantage of the great work done opening up the ubuntu thats already on the Atrix.
Anyhow, hope you find what yr after, cheers.
Ubuntu did'nt work for me :S.
And I think I can't put ubutu on my webtop since I'm have a 4.5.91 rom...

how can i tell what gen my archos is?

I'll let someone else answer this, but as far as I know, you "can" install it, but it doesn't work very well for what I recall on my lasts testings
You can install flash 11.

MeeGoPad T07 -> Android Possible?

Hello to you all!
I have got a new Meegopad T07 and I thought it would somehow be possible, to install android on ist.
I already heard of people experimenting with Remix OS, but it has problem with sound and wifi.
My idea was to get a android Image from a device, that has the same processor. The Meegopad has a Intel X5 Z8300. I looked and found a Tablet PC: Teclast X16 Pro. For this device I also found a costom firmware on this side: Ask me for the link because I can't post it. Else try to search in google for "teclast x16 custom firmware" and take the first link.
But before I do something I wanted to talk with you a little bit about my idea.
First of all: Has someone a idea about the other hardware from the meegopad or the techlast tablet? Does the same processor mean, that it also has the same wifi-, bluetooth-, usb-, sound- etc. controller? How do you think?
If I would install the image: Do i have to install some android drivers? In the link above you see there some drivers that are to install. Do I have to install them? And if yes: do I install them like in this tutorial? Sorry for these questions but I installed till today only cfw on phones and there I never had to install any drivers only the image.
And my last question: How good do you think are my chances to make android runable on my device?
Thanks and have a nice day
