Will Revolutionary be working on a way to root hboot 1.5.000?
I updated my phone like an idiot, lost root, and now I want root again.
I'm not stupid enough to do the HTC unlock though.
Yeah just hold off for now.
I'm shocked that quite a few of you did this update before checking here to see if it was ok. Knowing how our brand of "freedom" is frowned upon.

Is your hboot still S-off? If so, youre probably able to reflash recovery and regain root
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
You just need to follow the "UNROOT" instructions which will roll your Hboot back and then run Revolution again.... (*Or at least thats what I understand from all the reading I have done.) The method they used to get us permanent NAND unlock seems to truly be permanent so you just have to use the HTC Bootloader unlock, then use that to roll the HBOOT back in order to use Revolutionary.
*I have not done this and never will have to but this is my understanding. As always YMMV and if you BRICK IT,well, you already BOUGHT IT.
!!!!NEVER ACCEPT OTA UPDATES!!!!

Hit up that guy who posted that reply. I am pretty sure he did it and redid it a couple times. (*I think)
FORGET IT! That guy actually still had his S-off from Revolutionary and DID NOT take the OTA which is how your NAND was relocked. For now, either sit tight and wait, again, for Rev and Unrevoked to hopefully cook something up or use the HTC method and enjoy half root.
Sorry bud....
I hope so... I was chatting yesterday with them at their IRC channel and they were saying it may not happen....
I am sitting tight devs here do wonders

Highly doubt it will be 1.50.000
I had a complete stock 3D with OTA, HBoot 1.5, HTCdev Unlocked, S-ON (still)...
Thought I was screwed when I wanted to root but follow Zedomax's instructions in the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1225974
I'm successfully running Cho's rom from MikMik. Downside is you have to use CWM but it still works!!!
Easiest root I've ever done!!
But you still have to do HTCs method I'm waiting so I don't have to

only problem with the hboot downgrade is it involves linux comman shells, something i am not familiar with... so it would take some time to educate myself then execute that

ditto. the hardest part by far wasn't the Linux command shells, it was pulling the cord at the right time. it took me 3 tries before I managed to brick the phone! as soon as that progress bar shows up you gotta yank that cord!
would have thunk it'd be that hard to brick your phone???

It'll be available for you to flash right after release, and you probably won't need to lose root for that.

Ha! Then you'll take the ICS ota and be blessed with a new hboot that could take months to unlock. Just get S-off now, while you can. Then flash whatever ROM you want for as long as you have the phone. The linux part was the easiest part of the ordeal. It's just a few simple commands. Copy and paste them if you need to.

People have followed the steps correctly and are now soft bricked. This is not a bash against the dev's of the tool, as they did an amazing job. If there is going to be an updated tool with less risk some people may want to wait, thats all.

There has already been a lot of success on Windows. Even if you do brick.... it looks like they already have a solution tool being worked on!
my phone was a success on windows, even flashed the zip to remove the warning text on the boot screen.
