[Q] Faux Kernel with Aroma settings advice... - HTC Amaze 4G

So being a relative noob, I would like to flash Faux's new kernel with the Aroma installer, but would like some advice on what settings to use. My main focus is battery life and stability and I am running Speed Rom 8.0. Or should I just stick with the stock kernel from Speed Rom if battery is my main concern? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

The reason you probably haven't gotten a response is because the faux kernel with aroma installer wasn't added by faux, it was added by another xda member, so I'm not sure that a lot of people have actually installed it that way, therefore, there isn't really anyone to give feed back. Just a guess

turkbey 29.3gt issue

hi lads im a new member to the site this is my first post. i have been using the turkbey rom since 29.0 and i bloody love it its fast smooth and has superb battery life, iv tried a good few roms but i find this to be the best for me by a good distance. i have one problem tho, when im on the phone browsing etc the back of phone heats up and i get random reboots. it only seems to happen if screen is on for any length of time like browsing etc for 20 mins+
any help would be appreciated.
im using the void echo kernal which has amazing battery life, im not overclocked or under volted just using stock void echo settings with lionheart govner.
p.s because i am a new member i cant actually post on the turkbey thread because i haven't got the 10 posts minium required to post. if this is not the right thread for this post i apologise

I also had that issue with your exact same configuration. I fixed it by using a different kernel. Try using the Siyah 2.4.2, or 2.5.1 kernel, if you don't want to OC you don't have to.
Thanks enzo I'll give it a whirl, how is battery life on siyah these days? And have you tried the phenomenal kernel? Might give it a try. Thanks again

no i havent tried it cause im on the i777 not the i9100, but the siyah kernel has provided me with an amount of satisfaction that i dont have to/want to try anything else really. the siyah kernel is awesome and the battery life is great to, im OC'd to 1600 with stock voltage and i get anywhere from22-24 hours with very heavy usage.
also i am a new member i cant post on the turkbey thread...the reason was because i haven't got the 10 posts minium required to post on developer thread....!!!!

Any tweaks to make the phone faster and smoother?

Are there any tweaks that we can flash through CWM to make the phone smoother and faster? I came from the Galaxy S 4G, and they had this thing called Adrenaline Shot, which significantly increased the phone's responsiveness and speed. Are there any for the Amaze?

This should look familiar because someone else answered you about Faux's kernel. You even thanked the post. Heck it looks like you even flashed it already! Short memory?

Oh that one! Sorry yeah ive been in some sorta panic. I normally dont read common things like titles. And now i should. But anyways thanks for the suggestions. Fauxs kernel so far i must say has been flawless. I was only wondering to make the phone even smoother. I know its too much to ask, but heck, everyone would want a flawess phone. Especially on a heavy UI such as Sense.

I use QuikSense 2.1.2 and use the V6 Supercharger Script and my phone is smooth and responsive. If you're going to use the script I recommend reading and understanding it completely before trying anything.
Testing the Faux kernel and things seem to have only improved here as well.

hahaha you consider a preview kernel, with limited features/functionality and some bugs, to be the best kernel available to the vibrant?? or is it only the best because that's what you have?
i couldnt even mount my sd to my computer on that kernel.
im not trashing the dev by any means, thats why he called it a "preview kernel". but to come onto a thread and call it the best available is ignorant, and can be very misleading to inexperienced users.
Honestly , you should try it, It work so good, Speed is great! , No lag, Battery life is awsome., the only problem, the games open but for some reason close,/

So far battery life is ok for me, less than stock passion but thats expected for a preview. I am finding Live OC incredible, set clock speeds on the fly.
But overall Topshelf is right, its a PREVIEW, with more features and fixes to come, so its not best kernel as of right now, but imo soon

[Q] What is the best ROM for my Amaze?

Hey guys! I'm excited to be here and I hope I get some good advice. (Who am I kidding? I KNOW I will!)
Anyway, I recently bought my HTC Amaze 4g for T-Mobile and I think I am in love. But I soon realized that I was getting about 2 hours of moderately heavy battery usage before it was giving me battery warnings. So I rooted, and installed Android Revolution HD 1.1.0 and my battery life has been much better. But, being the impatient newbie I am, I installed it before I read that it was a bit out of date. Basically, what I want is a ROM that is up-to-date, highly supported, has great battery life, is very fast, doesn't have a
sht load of bloatware, and is extremely stable. Hopefully this isn't asking to much from the developers here at XDA. So, any of you had this sort of experience with a ROM?
Thanks guys!
i say go with xboarders bulletproof rom, he will be updating it probably today, i was so impatient i just flashed w/e he has up now, and its amazing!, as for as battery life goes, i cant say anything as of yet. Only had the rom running for a few hours.

+1 thanks for the quick reply! I will look at bulletproof. Maybe you could get back to me when you know about battery?
My opinion is one of xboarders since they are based on the most recent firmware and are pretty stable.
If you want Sense use Bulletproof.
It has CRT animation and a fixed advanced power menu.
If you want AOSP-like (still technically Sense... just some HTC stuff removed like Rosie) use BeastMod.
Also with CRT and advanced power menu (i believe).
As far as I know he is the only developer that actually owns the device and is good at maintaining the support in his forums. It's difficult to support and keep up to date with a device that you don't own. That's probably why Android Revolution HD 1.1.0 is out of date.
That's just my opinion.

Thanks for the fast responses guys! You rock! I really am tempted to go download Bulletproof now! I might...
But is it really going to be updated today? I don't want to wait...
Lol I didn't want to wait either, but I was so tempted. I had to flash it. Totally worth it, I had wifi bug, instead of posting around like a noob I read and saw I had to flash boot that was provided with the rom, I say go for it. Its really stable and INSANELY SMOOTHLY

I just installed Bulletproof... Waiting for first boot.
Pretty good! But what's with the same battery? Do I just need to erase battery stats?
Ugh... now I can't use WiFi. I flashed the stock kernel. Twice. It worked the first time on Revolution. Hmmm...
Okay got it working. Just had to flash another kernel.
Try ics rom for amaze ..aka fourth bar sense rom.. its great on battery and boots faster..phones seems to be faster. Only thing ur prolly Gna miss is the HTC sense..everything else works great. Hope u like it . Also use easy kernel flasher from the forum to flash the kernel and ur not Gna have any issues with anything..
Good luck.

Completely Stock OB1 Rom

I have noticed a lot of yall just want a stock, zero modified, rooted rom. If this is the case I will build one.
Any takers? More responses the faster I will build it.
Well nvm then....
I want. Thanks
Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk 2
I do not know what that would do.... Do not understand it much but im open to hear why and what it would do for users
The main thing on the stock that i do not like is the note about checking battery cover
Basically it's as if you took a new phone and just rooted it. Some people may actually find it necessary to reflash a rom to their phone and why not flash a stock rom prerooted?
Okay i understand now, thats not a bad idea at all
I'll take it!!
i would love a proper stock+rooted rom. your twi5ted lollipop has been the only rom that's been super fast compared to the rest of the roms.
I'd love a "mostly stock" ROM: rooted and with performance tweaks only, then leaving all apps and interface stock. Some extra "essential" apps would be great too (AdAway, TiBu, Viper, Greenify, etc.) Although these could always be installed later too...
Thanks,
Luis
I will make a new thread tomorrow with 2 stock roms......
