i just upgraded to stock jb but i just found that vibration doesn't work with notifications mostly when in vibration mode that's number one and i noticed that battery drains much faster than the ics is these normal or not srry i am noob..... so any help would be appreciated
1) Vibration: adjust the settings. It works, but you have to set it accordingly
2) Batt. drain: that is really a problem with the JB ROMs and everyone - myself included - has been complaining about it. Let's just wait and see if there are updates to the ROMs in a near future. So solution so far
i got the sound and vibration checked in setting but still don't get any vibration when i get a message in vibration mode
I managed to fix the vib problem, vibration was disabled in messaging

hi all, i've an annoying problem with the cyano revolution mod, the rom is almost perfect but the call vibration it's not working, sometimes checking and unchecking the silence mode and setting vibration on and off do the trick but in 90% of cases doesn't resolve the issue... vibration on sms is working but call vibration not... it's very annoying i need an help
Try running MiniCM6 v6.01, it's better and more complete
i've tried many other roms, no one is stable as cyano and that's what i need, a stable rom for everyday use.
Hi all,
as the title says...is there any way of turning off / disabling the vibration that happens to tell you your phone is off.?
it's really annoying
running Omega ICS v10 - XWKL1
TIA..

Seriously ? How many times do you shutdown your phone per hour ?
I do not know of such mod and I don't believe that someone else thought to remove it ...

there was no need to be nasty, if you didn't know, just say you don't know.
@blueseeker I do it once per day when I go to bed and it's a pointless vibrate so just wondered if I'd missed a setting or if anyone had a script that would/could disable it..
But thanks for your response
@theguydan thanks for the criticism of the pointlessness of blueseekers comment

I don't think there is because it isn't normally seen as a big issue and can be useful (i.e. if you think your phone is bricked or there is a boot loop but it vibrates). Sorry I couldn't help more, it may depend on the rom you use (stock rom has a sound but Cyanogenmod doesn't).
Actually my i9000 doesn't vibrate after shutting it down !! Is it normal ??
It just stopped doing it after flashing a JVT !!
thanks
Prevent Samsun Galaxy S2 or S11 vibrating on shutdown
I've found a way of prevent the annoying shutdown vibration, but it involves stopping all vibrating alerts (I think).
Go to settings, sound, Haptic feedback and turn on the Haptic feedback (if it is not already), then go to vibration intensity (just below) and reduce the sensitivity to zero. Hey presto no more annoying vibration on shut down or indeed annoying vibration at any time .
as Zakarath said... I posted a similar solution just yesterday. Don't forget to use the search before you post. This has already been answered a couple of times.

hello,
newbee here. I have acquire a sansung galaxy S2, and have a lot of fun with it.
trouble started when it rebooted at night. I figured out that some update or application crashes were the cause of it.
I think i rid of most of the issues, and got it pretty stable.
To avoid future complication, I even rid of the startup sound, but I can not rid off the vibration (especially the one when shutting down....)
I think it is part of the basic settings, and I did a lot of researches... no luck
Apps like Silent boot would not work either....
Do anyone know if it's even possible ?
If impossible, is ICS having the same issue, or can this be tuned ?
(i just can't believe no one thought of making that optional ...)
Please help me...
I'm on ICS and don't have that. It is part of system settings - sound. It usually is affected by the mode you have your phone set to (like if you have sound set to Sound and Vibrate or just Vibrate, etc). Try changing to just sound and see if that stops it from vibrating (or just silent mode with no vibrate).
Can also try to untick Vibrate on screen tap.
ICS is sweet... can't go back to GB... what you waiting for?!
Sorry, but this does not work (phone is rooted)
. tried vibration off no luck
. tried silent mode no luck
Is there someone who knows where is configured the vibration settings ?
I mean in which filesystem (full path if possible) ... ?
note: Official Samsung ICS for Unlocked Phones will come soon... unless there is a safe ROM and method to install it. For now I would concentrate on my Vibration issue.
Firstly, be patient. People will try to help you, doesn't mean the first answer fixes your problem.
As I stated... ICS does not have this problem. Phone makes no sound and no vibrate, if you set it that way on ICS.
How about give us more information. You said you're rooted but on GB. Are you using any different type of kernel other than stock? Like Siyah 2.xx?
As the filesystem where you can doodle with removing vibrations... I will leave someone with more experience to deal with that (even if I know the path)... in case I advise you something that can screw things up after.
*you might want to reset the phone - as the system notification/vibration settings should have done the trick.
hello
I upgraded to 4 versions of ICS.
Each one of them did not correct the issue : it still vibrate when shutting down the phone. (darkyrom, OCA, Pure and a "4.0.4" version having a clever 3 way option to launch (Nova, TW and Apex)).
I did not reset the settings yet but I will give it a go.
I will the thread updated.
That's a very strange bug then. The settings to control that though, is not with the launchers but with System Settings.
Maybe try this:
System Settings - Volume <inside there you have 4 settings. Try changing System to very low or all the way off. Then go to the whatever mode you have it set to (like Silent Mode or whatever)... and select Mute.
Then the lower categories of System... uncheck all of them: Keytones, Touch sounds, Screen lock sound, Vibrate on screen tap.
See if that works. If it does, then can narrow it down to one of those settings.
Thank you very much
The simplest things are not always obvious to the common....
It works, the vibration disappeared when /SOUNDS/VIBRATION SETTINGS/Vibrate on touch was set to the lowest. Meantime, the little vibration at startup disappeared as well. Now the phone can crash, update and reboot at night without waking me up ! .. a good logcat reader (just in case) running in background will help cleaning up when some error occurs....
Once again, thank you: that drove me mad.
Glad that worked. You're right, sometimes the simplest things are not always obvious, for everyone ;-)

Hi guys. I have a strange issue with haptic feedback on my i9300. It is rooted on stock rom. Haptic feedback was working great. I had it at half intensity and all of a sudden today it got really weak. I had to set it at max intensity and it still barely vibrates on touchkeys.... I dont have power saving on. Didn't change any setting before it started doing this. Any clues?
factory reset and reflash stock rom, if it doesn't help then send it in
I was hoping to avoid factory reset or flashing rom :/ any other way?
no, not possible to figure out the cause of the problem over the internet
haptic feedback

I had this issue every now and again - particularly after installing a certain twitter client. It seemed to clear itself largely. After uninstalling the app I havent had it since.
Hi I couldn't find an answer anywhere including other phones. What I want to do is remove vibration feedback completely ( plug phone in) if its possible also have a p769 if that's of any relevance am rooted. Also to clarify I am not talking about the keyboard feedback this is beyond that. Thanks for your time.
I'm also looking for solution for this problem. I hate it when mobile vibrates even on notifications!
It was fine with ICS but JB has no option for disabling vibration completely.
you can disable in Cyanogenmod also . but no way to disable on stock jelly bean.
