hi guys, my phone made an automatic update yesterday to find out that it was the jelly bean update. i was really excited to install it on my phone, but once it was installed it really got me frustrated because my phone doesnt vibrate anymore when i receive a message even when it is in vibrate mode. it only vibrates when i receive a notification
(e.g Facebook) . i have installed AudioManager but still doesnt work.
Help anyone? is there a way i can go back to ICS?? ... My phone isnt rooted by the way.

Dude I think its the viber app. Are you using this app? Try to close it and you will that the sensor will off. I uninstall it for the mean time and wait for another update

Yes, the problem is viber app. I dont know viber or rom, but when i kill vib
r, sensor stop light.
Problem with viber is for every android device. Here is the previous version

I had this too.. Thought it might be smart stay but I removed viber (even though I hadn't even signed in to it ) and Red Light is now gone! Suspect that may possibly have contributed to the slightly enhanced battery drain I was getting in the latest official stock JB ROM (XXDLIB)..

i just discovered it too. from the start i've hesitated to use that app. i simply don't like it. too many bugs and i don't know why it became so popular. i uninstalled it imediately but i'll try to find any previous version

Two post up i post link. This is previous version of viber
Here is the link http://db.tt/SkSNRu3C
I too had the sensor on all night last night. It was after installing siyah kernel it seemed to happen. This morning was going to flash stock kernel back to see if it fixed it. But before that I just did a reboot and when it came back on it was not showing anymore.
I do have Viber and it's always on as we use it for picture messages, it's still on now and the sensor is not showing.

Edit: it did come back and it was down to Viber, I have installed previous version and it's perfect. Thanks for the link
same problem fixed
I got the same problem after installing JB for my S3... but i did what you guys said... uninstalling viber the problem gone, so i better now knowing my JB Room its not the problem...
Viber just released v2.2.3 which they claim resolves the issue.

Did you try hard resetting your device? It could do the job.

Only one ring issue (not looped)
Hi,
I'm happily using xICS with 3.1 hotfix on my sola dev. But today I've realized that any incomming call rings (insert_coin.ogg) only once and then stops although the call hasn't been answered yet (the vibration works though as expceted). I've searched for a setting to manage this but I couldn't find any.
Solutions found in other sections of this forum (for other devices running ICS) didn't apply to this case. Anyone facing the same problem?
Why isn't the ringtone played repeatedly (looped)?
Hi there Xda, so today out of nowhere I got a notification but the sound was on when I never turned it on. So I ignored it the first time but it happened again. I turned sound on and off and no luck. I rebooted, same problem. The sound says silent for like an hour or so, and I randomly get a notification with sound on and it says its on? I don't wanna have to keep turning it on and off... any help? By the way it's a US 4.2 with a rooted stock ROM and stock kernel.

I really like the tablet GUI and don't want to move to the phabet one, at least till GUI can be changed for 4.2.2...
I don't think I will miss any of the new features...
But what is bugging me is the update notification. How do I remove it? I turned the auto update off but its still there. Tried reboot as well...

If you are rooted, you can simply freeze with TB the Update Center app and no more notification to upgrade to 4.2.2
Hi all...
My i9205 .... on USA go phone ATT plan.
The stock rom weather widget all of a sudden will not update manually. I have the auto update shut off.
Doesn't matter if cell data or wifi is used.
I cant get it to update.
Any suggestions? ??
Thankd to all.

Problem solved. . A simple reboot and battery pull fixed my issue...thanks

I was just going to suggest that but you got it already..usually when something acts funny i power down and remove the battery..kinda like a total reboot in ways, good to hear the app is working fine again.
