hello guys
here is my issue....
I wanted to install gb or ics or jb on my x10mini (e10i)
my baseband is : M76XX-TSNCjoLYM-53404015
firmware : 2.1-update1
android v : 2.1.1.A.0.6.
i successfully rooted my phone and unlocked the bootloader using flashtools 0.9.8.0.
but my problem is when ever i try to flash custom kernel i get this error
Code:
ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="MEMORY_CLASS";ERR_STATIC="HASH_VER";ERR_DYNAMIC="Failed to init erase";
i tried all custom kernel including nAa-13, nAa-14, nAa-ics,nAa-jb. everything fails and i get my phone semi bricked with phone reboots and all i get is white screen and LED glows White.
then i use SEUS to flash back to stock rom. i did this for almost 20times so far everytime it fails....
any help?

unlock bootloader
I didn't know you can unlock the bootloader with flashtool. I used another tool (attachment)
Just connect your phone with debugging mode turned on and open "msm7227_semc" from the zip and follow the instructions.
This worked perfectly for me. After finished, just reboot the phone, then its unlocked. Then you can install a custom kernel with flashtool.
pls tell me if it has worked

There are actually three different methods to unlock the bootloader, which one to use depends on the status of your phone. Flashtool does actually do a decent job in deciding which method (including the one you mention here) to use. It's in the plugins menu.
I would like to ask alienwrz to post a slightly more extensive part of the flashtool output, and maybe the output of the identify-button in S1Tool.

Where did you get the kernels from (the actual links may be useful) and what sizes are they?
(You did unlock the bootloader, so it's not directly a problem with flashing per se, because unlocking involves flashing a new loader to the phone, maybe your anti-virus could be interfering with flashing the actual kernels)

it happened to you , so what did you do to get your operator back?
if i may , could you please give me links to refer to? or links to download certain things i need?
manually put in your apn settings. that might help. or you can try relocking your bootloader. or just check if your phone is eligible to have its bootloader unlocked and retry unlocking it
edit* i dont remeber exactly what i did. i just restarted the whole process and successfuly unlocked the bootloader which some how brought back signal. is your phone carrier unlocked??
how do i manually put in my apn settings? how to relock my bootloader as well? i'm sorry for asking so much but i really don't know what im doing
how do i check if my phone carrier is unlocked or not?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1259617&highlight=relock+bootloader
and to put in your apn settings you need to find that somewhere on the internet. that link is to relock your bootloader. im not sure if putting in your apn settings will work because you might have lost radio capabilities.

ok good you are eligible before you started trying to unlock the bootloader, did you downgrade your kernel with the flashtool?? and are you on 2.1 or 2.3?? and i belive that lower case r means your bootloader is unlocked. so flash doomlords kernel for unlocked bootloaders using the flashtool. if done properly you should not see the white sony ericcson letters

Im using xperia mini pro,if i want to use cwm do i must unlock my boot loader first?
Can i use cwm if i just root my phone? I've use search button but no luck
Xcuse my bad english

Root just gives you higher privileges in "running" state. To install CWM you need write access to boot partition, which comes only with unlocked bootloader.
So you'd need to unlock your bootloader to install CWM. Fortunatley, there is Official way of unlocking it and now its even possible to Relock it later. Check this forum for guides.

I want to know how I can be sure that my bootloader is unlocked?
If my bootloader is unlocked why didn't SE tweak work?

How much minutes should it take to boot up for the first time?

Thanks, But I could not flash SE Tweak rom, it stuck in the first boot, I waited for 5 mins but no result.
What could be possibly the reason for this?

It seems that you didn't do some steps correctly.
You need to find exactly where your TP is.
Exactly the same result with a Movistar Spain Neo V. Stuck on SE screen after flash, and cannot access to the fastboot mode by presing menu key.

I have a Xperia Neo i think its branded to TMN, and i wanted to Unlock the bootloader, i did the *#*#7378423#*#* --> Server Info --> Configuration and i didn't had the frase Rooting Status. I Searched the threads trying to figure how could i Unlock it, didn´t find away... I'm a bit stuborn and tried the Testpoint test, and i don't know if it worked here is what i got:

If it worked i can't fastboot... If it didn't then i dont know what to do, is it possible for a branded phone, that doesnt say nothing about Rooting status, to get Unlocked?
Tks in advance!
For me,i unlocked my bootloader at 1st attempt at http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/ because i think its the easy one...
I think entering fastboot mode and try
Code:
fastboot boot recoveryNeo.img
will be a good idea.
If it isn't bootloader unlocked it won't let you boot.
Otherwise it is unlocked.

Unfortunate this doesn't work for me because theres a phrase that's states
In your phone, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

My bad for asking questions, now I see yout post#9 above, strange didn't notice it earlier.
Anw,
1) you have old fw version, thats why you don't see that line. update your fw with flashtool to .42 or .62.
2) you have sim-locked phone, thats why your fastboot is locked. you need to pay to sim-unlock your phone and by that you will enable your fastboot. find user with nick jinx13 or anyone else with setool, or use some of online services, but my advise is to use setool.

Ok so i did something really stupid and i thought since i didn't think i used testpoint correctly i used OTA to upgrade my phone well it got bricked.... after freakin searching for over 4 hours found the solution and got my phone updated to .62 and running. I can finnaly see the phrase Rooting status: Bootloader unlock allowed: No
So that is done tomorrow gona track down jinx13 or someone that has setool to unlock my SIM card.

Hi guys,
I have problem with my X10i phone. In a row, I:
1. Installed stock rom from SEUS
2. Rooted device via flashtool
3. Unlocked bootloader via flashtool
4. Installed kernel (FeraKernel) via flashtool
5. Installed custom rom from CWM (Achotjan ROM)
6. AND then I've got an Wi-Fi issue, so I installed other kernel -> nAa 14. After that device won't boot AND I cannot:
- Flash it (in flashmode too)
- Boot
- Root/Shell Root (via SuperOneClick)
- Install stock soft via SEUS or PC Companion (repair in Companion won't do)
- Hard Reset by pressing keys (left, right and power)
- Unlock via ... Emma (Emma, right? From Sony) - It calls that I have blocked device
I can do nothing besides start in flashmode, which gives me nothing, cause I have problems flashing other kernel. Flashtool waits for device or gives me an RED COLOR Error: "SIN header verification error".
Can I do anything with this device or simply put it in a trash?
Where on earth did you get naa kernel for x10?

can't you get into flashmode? maybe battery is empty... naa kernel is bullshiit forget it... search for thread "diXperia 7" avenger for 2.3.3 baseband+kernel or look in x10 development section for 1.6 .ftf file and try to flash those via flashtool. you dont need to power your device on to flash. it is thr only way (i know) to debrick a phone.

I tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2145994 - without flashing mode it won't start
PS. I CAN GET INTO FLASHMODE. But it gives me nothing, cause I have errors or my PC can't recognize phone after flashing by nAa kernel...

I got exact the same error trying to flash .ftf from flashtool.
19/017/2012 03:17:46 - ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"
For me this was because I did not have an unlocked bootloader.
I spent at least a whole day trying to resolve the problem as months earlier I had an unlocked bootloader and everything worked.
For me I resolved the problem by unlocking the bootloader...'again'.
Have you run S1 Tool and verified that you have an unlocked bootloader at this time?
LOADER VERSION: "R4A024" means a locked bootloader. If it a lower-case "r" then you're fine and you have an unlocked bootloader.
If you get SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE at the end of the S1 Tool information output then at least there is still something readable in the boot image of your phone.
It is odd though, when I had a locked bootloader on my XPERIA X10i I was still able to install a SEUS firmware upgrade.
Information about unlocking a bootloader can be found here. Tutorial: Rooting, Bootloader Unlocking and Updating

I have unlocked bootloader earlier, but maybe I have it locked again. How can I unlock bootloader without device connected (by turning it on)? I can only start it in flash mode, which doesn't allow me to unlock bootloader in flashtool. Also I cannot update firmware using SEUS
AW: X10i won't boot - I tried everything (YES! Everything!)
I just had the same or at least a similar problem (sunday it happened) and solved it by flashing the 1.6 rom and the 2.3.3 only kernel +baseband, first found in dev section, second in dixperia 7 thread and then updated via seus. It didn't work at first try but now i have the working stock rom and cannot root anymore. If you try this please tell us if you can root afterwards.
And try to boot 1.6 first - it is nice and i wanna know if it works for you. You can look in my profile to find the thread i created with details.

And you've tried S1 Tool to see what it returns?
If you can't view the information results or the results indicate your XPERIA X10i is in a state that does not support an unlocked bootloader (due to corruption) then at least you have a documented state at which your phone can or can't operate.
If the XPERIA X10i can't load ANY firmware, then you'll have to start analyzing the low level boot code to find out what is corrupted and how bad it is. S1 Tool is an easy info display to a least be able to say, "OK I can get a return information display from S1 Tool" and I have posted the output so people can better understand the situation.
If you can not install firmware via Sony Ericsson Update Service(SEUS), PC Companion or Flashtool 'flashmode' using a generic GB 2.3.3 ftf.
Then you're limiting your options. You still have flashtool 'fastboot mode' BUT indications are that you HAVE to have an unlocked bootloader for it to work.
Have you tried flashing a 'STOCK' GB 2.3.3 ROM via flashtool flashmode? [Completed]X10 Stock Firmware Collection
Have you placed the xxx.ftf file to be flashed in /flashtool/firmwares/ folder?
Does your XPERIA X10i have drivers installed on the PC so that the USB connection is established and recognized?
If the USB connection is not recognized, have you run the driver install from /flashtool/drivers ?

Do you mean to say you lost your network when you unlocked the bootloader?
That means your simlock-certificate wasn't compatible with the unlock-procedure, which you get warned against if you read it all properly.
Use SUS (SEUS) to repair your phone., and then use S1Tool (NOT flashtool) to restore your bootloader, by pressing the RESTORE-button.
Step 1: leave your phone disconnected from the computer
Step 2: choose 'update' in SEUS, it will say 'no updates available'
Step 3: choose the 'repair' link, it will let you select your phone-model and download the firmware
Step 4: when it asks for flashmode, connect your usb-cable to the phone and your computer, and then press home- and power-buttons at the same time.
Step 5: Start S1Tool and press Restore button, follow the instructions
Hope your signal will come back, there is no guarantee.

It kind of depends on how your phone was sim-unlocked i suppose, and it's not that unlocking restores your simlock, it just disables the radio-capabilities, no matter which sim you put in.
If you tried the manual bootloader-unlock method, there are a few options you can use, maybe the other one may give you success.
Just boot up your phone after the unlocking process and check the network before you do anything else, like flashing kernels and stuff.
And entering flashmode had never been a problem for me, not on JB and not on stock. It's usually a case of just turning your phone off and only putting it in flashmode (ie, press the backbutton and plug in the cable) when the program (Flashtool or SEUS or PC Companion) asks for it.
If you try to put it in flashmode before the program is ready it will boot up.

Hope your signal will come back, there is no guarantee.

i have still the same problem. if i put the battery out and wait 10 secs put it back in the cell boots right away. even when i press the home and power button while i am quickly putting the usb cable in. i hardly can't connect my cell to pc in flashmode. when i am pressing the back button like sony updater tells me the same thing happens. as long as i press a key nothing happens doesn't matter how long i press it.
when i release it, the phone boots normally jb.
ok, i booted up cm while having phone plugged in. removed battery and put it right back in. right in this moment the led turned green and i hopefully gained into flashmode!
so i gained network back thanks for your help!
i performed all the steps again to unlock my bootloader and had success. i recognized that i run the wrong msm7227_semc.cmd .
thread can be closed. and again thanks for your help! :victory:
