So I debranded my x10a and got generic firmware R2BA026 using the "R2BA026_exploid_x10a_v2" cmd suite (it has the firmware, root, and market fix all together.. I can't remember which thread I got it from) I then tried using "[GUIDE] Root your X10 R2BA024 ! { Update 26.07.2010 R2BA024 Root with 2/3-Steps}" method and had the same problem after I installed the firmware.
I am able to install the Firmware fine, however when I turn it on and enable debugging to continue on to root the phone it says "Device not found"
My device manager shows that "Sony Ericsson x10a" has an error.
the driver information shows
"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver."
I have installed the PC companion (from the phone and from the internet" and the Update service. I've uninstalled and reinstalled them twice; they are able to see my phone and know what's up with it.
This same error happens when I attempt to install the "dark x10" theme (26 version)
I've also installed the Android SDK with the USB drivers.
Debugging is enabled.
Any thoughts on whats causing this?
insert phone usb. then unlock phone and look for install pc companion. DO THAT then do the other steps
Hey, I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2, flashed with clockwork mod and Cyanogen 7 (nightly 27/9/11)
On the mod from the 26th, I experienced the 2G/3G switch's unhandled circumstance and com.android.phone got caught in an endless loop.
When I plugged my phone in, and tried to use ADB to install sqlite3 and fix the problem, my device wasn't listed.
I've tried reinstalling samsung drivers, and using kies, and I've tried to find an ADB driver for the phone, but to no avail.
It's annoying the hell out of me, as this is my only phone, and for a day and a half now I have had no means to receive calls.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
I'd like to continue using cwm and cyanogen, if possible.

Once downloaded, right click on "Computer", "Manage", "Device Manager", "Nexus S", "Update Driver Software", and point it to wherever you installed the SDK
That are the drivers that you need.
I have a pantech element and my computer always throws error 37 no matter what i do when i try to install a driver for it. it will not connect to pc suite which is the first thing i tried. i restarted everything mulitple times and usb debug has been on. i run honeycomb 3.2.1 and im just trying to root the tablet. i wouldnt mind being able to upgrade to the os though. i use the att 4glte pantech element and a lenovo y510p. please help me root it.

my tablet is rooted
when i try to install zt-180 adhoc app to enable my tablet to see adhoc wifi the software says my device is not rooted so it aborts the install
any ideas?
i have verified via super user icon and also ran root checker and it says device is rooted
