Like does it run these games smooth on gingerbread:
- Grandt Theft Auto 3
- Modern Combat 3
- Nova 3
- N64oid
- Batman ( Dark night rises)
- Spiderman (the new one)
Does this phone run all of these games smooth??
i do not find the active good for gaming only because the screen is small... and I have not tried running those games you mentioned.. however I tried star legends and it runs smoothly... as well as madden football 2012..

i can confirm all working smooth on stock speed using GB rom, except N64oid i didnt try that

You can easily un-ECM it. Download it here - http://www.neillcorlett.com/downloads/ecm100.zip
Then just drag your .ecm file into unecm. Then you will see in black screen that your bin file is making.
When you try any game - please write ir here.

I can't seem to get nhl2001 to run very long it crashes to home screen after about 2-3 min of playing. I tried with your settings and still nothing. too bad it plays great with frame skip. Even faster than fpsece! are you able to play a full game or is it crashing 4 u 2?

OMG ps1 games actually work on tattoo??
I was thinking of checking it out but I thought it would be a waste of time...
okay I checked gran turismo 1 and... wth? 50fps? not even close, I got about 10-15 fps or so, is there an option to view fps during a game?
i also played gta 2 and quake 2. Both play slower than supposed to. Maybe I have wrong settings. Could you show ALL of your settings? thanks in advance

Because you're running it on an HTC Tattoo with no GPU! Its not magic!

Try adjusting your CPU and JIT or something...
I run GTA Mission Pack 1 ... Percfectly... No lagg great game. I'm about to try other roms

Hi could anybody test final fantasy ix on the tattoo?
I tried ffix disc 1 pal on the newest version of fpse and it was running great until i came to the menu. When i press new game then it is supposed to come a video but instead it frezes at the black screen just after i press new game. I have cyanogenmod 7.0.3 on my tattoo its overclocked to 653.8 mhz. and i cant overclock it higher cuz the whole phone frezes or restarts and i use setcpu. please help cuz the most reason i got fpse is cuz of final fantasy.
i will try ntsc version and see if it work but still any help will be appritiated.

I take no credit at all, for any of the work Markphyton has done, all thanks/donations go to him!
Basically, as we all know, gaming on ICS is pants.
However! Markphyton, with his genius mind, has created a ROM based on 4.0.4 that is EPIC for gaming!
His latest update (coming soon with a new name) should hopefully fix all gaming issues. Even so, this thread is a place for users to report their gaming experiences while using this ROM (good or bad). Here's how I think people should post:
(feel free to use your own methods, but please try to keep it tidy )
At the top of the post: Your system configuration (I.e. Which Kernel? Overclocked? Link2sd? Swapper? zRam? etc.)
Then for the games, in a list like this:
(Game Name) - Make it BOLD so that its easy to see which game you are talking about
(Verdict) I.e Is it playable?
(then underneath each game give a brief description)
---I.e How good is the performance? (lag, buttons not working/sounds/glitches/graphics artifacts, whatever you find)
(Rating out of 10) - Speed/framerate whatever you want to call it

the rom has final update. now the name is stock ics .587 for xperia play

For me Neatrom + Philz kernel and no tweaks.
Just get little bit hot while playing some games.

If I were you and I wanted the maximum performance this tiny machine can produce then I would use DorimanX kernel latest beta. Stock Rom should be fine but with dorimanx kernel, CPU OCed to 1.4Ghz and GPU OCed to at least 330Mhz this baby will burn! You should get all time high performance as well as temperatures:good::good:
