Thought would test out what our phone could do. So been trying out some off the most power hungry games on the market, and my testings have worked out well. However thought would let people know at the same time that Chainfire 3D works perfect on Xperia S but mite only want it to play these and show all who needs tegra3 device's when Xperia S becomes one of the most compatible android gaming device on the market (Onlive (PS3/XBOX 360/PC quality title's), PlayStation Certified, Tegra3 - 2 games playable, ability to emulate over 23 different retro consoles (thousands of games), Plus the other few thousand games on the android market) have fun gaming. It gets even better when ICS comes as we will have USB/Bluetooth Full Native controller support matched with are HD HDMI out makes are S one hell of a micro console

1) Sonic 4 ep2 THD - Running fine and just as good as does on tegra 3 device.
2) Dark meadow THD - Does not work due to the game being patched against chainfire. Will run without it but colours are wrong.

1) Jett tailfin racers THD - Working great and better then on Asus TF101 or Sony Tablet S (tegra2 devices)

Xperia S running A couple of tegra 2 games better then my Tegra 2 Asus transformer TF101 or our Sony Tablet S -
with chainfire3D, games do not start, black screen when starting the game (on Xperia S root)

I installed Chainfire3D successfully, but the problem is installing the games..

The app tells you how. Just download install CF3D driver now put the 3 plugin zips on your Sd and install plugins on chainfire then set your settings for what game you want to play ( paid version is better as can set up per app instead of changing settings before and after each game). Will include a link to chainfires original thread later if anyone needs more info.

The market fix does not work on the newer market versions so will either need to use the patched market mod in android apps section or can transfer the games by side loading apks from either a Tegra device you own or find them on the web 3rd party.

Do we need to choose Nvidia plugin for the Tegra 3 games?
I downloaded Dark Meadow but the game doesn't start
I install the driver after that when i try to flash in recovery the plugins it says me: "Installation aborted"

Yeah use the nvidia plugin for Tegra3. I Have tried dark meadow but can't get it to run as the game can see chainfire running and shuts the game down after intro. If turn chainfire off it runs but colours are messed up. I love that game so am trying to find a modded version that takes the block out of it as is a free game.

You need root for chainfire to work. When have installed chainfire and driver. Select install plugin and it will find from anywhere on you SD

Basically, as we all know, gaming on ICS is pants.
However! Markphyton, with his genius mind, has created a ROM based on 4.0.4 that is EPIC for gaming!
His latest update (coming soon with a new name) should hopefully fix all gaming issues. Even so, this thread is a place for users to report their gaming experiences while using this ROM (good or bad). Here's how I think people should post:
(feel free to use your own methods, but please try to keep it tidy )
At the top of the post: Your system configuration (I.e. Which Kernel? Overclocked? Link2sd? Swapper? zRam? etc.)
Then for the games, in a list like this:
(Game Name) - Make it BOLD so that its easy to see which game you are talking about
(Verdict) I.e Is it playable?
(then underneath each game give a brief description)
---I.e How good is the performance? (lag, buttons not working/sounds/glitches/graphics artifacts, whatever you find)
(Rating out of 10) - Speed/framerate whatever you want to call it

I tried installing GTA 3, it opens and says Error.
Hot Pursuit cracked, Opens, plays the first video and then Black screen and closes.
NFS Shift, opens, black screen and closes.
Using Xperia Go. ICS 4.0.4 (Rooted)

i do not find the active good for gaming only because the screen is small... and I have not tried running those games you mentioned.. however I tried star legends and it runs smoothly... as well as madden football 2012..

i can confirm all working smooth on stock speed using GB rom, except N64oid i didnt try that

hey there just wanted to say angry birds stars wars did work out for me. However there are some issues the texture is bit big in Shoeb cases. Sometimes if you can't see the pigs you have to reload the entire app. It's a bit frustrating sometimes. But in all its playable. I'm using Kyorarom Ascendency 0.5.2 JPU. I have g3mod kernel oc with it . That's it guys one can dwnld d game from opera mini store. Its nt available from the Play Store.

gt racing working it has already been updated in first thread but i am still not able to run asphalt 5 or 6 so don't worry. can you show me how were u able to run it and if any game screen shot available please post

Actually i didn't try the guide. Look at the link to the forum in that thread. There you will find several workarounds. some may work and some may not And one of the guy famous for hacking in that forum is Ayush770. He has his own website.
I tried the modded drag racing game from his website and the hack looks like this:
