Can somebody port AOSP 4.0.4 to this? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It would really be nice if somebody could port AOSP to Atrix, similar to this ROM, but 4.0.4. Could somebody please do this?

Any reason you want 4.0.4?
Epinter's CM10 port is already at 4.1.2

I think we should make ICS stable first before proceeding with Jellybean.
Sent from that Atrix.

I would rather have ICS because that's what the semiofficial drivers are for. I'd also rather have AOSP than CM.

It would be nice that the leaked kernel was not that faulty as it is. (Batt Drain, stuff), there is a long queue of people waiting for that, then after that queue dissapears, maybe a 4.0.4 AOSP can be done properly.

[Q] Is there anyone working on a AOSP ICS rom?

is there? not CM7 themed like the rom from evogp, I mean a full ICS rom?
nope, there is only alpha version in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403372
We have to wait for CM9. And considering that ICS changes a lot of things such as how it interacts with the camera, the old drivers for some of our hardware aren't going to work unless they are able to port some stuff from other, similar phones. I wouldn't hold my breath for a 100% ICS ROM any time soon.

[Q] Can someone port a MIUI ICS Rom from Nexus S to the Vibrant

I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to port over the new MIUI rom for the Nexux S, it is the first and only one that has MIUI ICS and I would love to have it on my Vibrant.
I would be able to help in any way possible, and have a jig, so testing isn't a problem for me either.
Or is someone wants to teach me how to do I that would be great too, tried to fallow some tutorials but it seems like it woule be easier (less terminal errors)if I used linux.
Any help would be best appreciated.
Neobuddy has an ICS-MIUI going already. Maybe check that out before going through all the port work.
Or there's Galnet Miui. That's for the Vibrant as well... http://galnetmiui.co.uk/landing/weekly-builds/

Is everything working in these roms?
I was thinking that if someone could mix the work/fixes from Passion with the Framework of MIUI that would be pretty much perfect.

Neobuddy's rom is passion right, that I have tried and Def. Isn't MIUI, it's more of a stock ICS.

Once the ota for jb is released mikey will hook it up...meanrom is sense and stock based so absolutely no way to build a jb rom as of yet
Sent from the depths of hell
thanks, cause i thought CM10 was considered jellybean and i installed it but wasnt liking the rom at all went right back to mean rom needless to day much better
Praise Odin
Cm10 is jellybean, it is modified from aosp and Google makes any changes or updates to android and it goes into aosp, the ROM you have is based on stock, the advantage is everything unique to stock stays in tact but the downside is you have to wait for HTC to release the updates
thanks alot, sticking to mean rom 3.8 s-on
mean rom has always been pretty much stock.. just the way i like it!!!!!
When MeanROM goes JB, you'll love it. The only reason you could possibly not like JB now is the lack of Sense. You'll have both once we get that magical OTA.
However, CM10 is amazing. So I have no idea what you're talking about anyway, haha.

Jelly Bean roms

I appreciate all the hard work done by the developers and shared with everyone, so believe me I'm not complaining just trying to learn. Why are there no Jelly Bean roms out? I assume it's a technical reason.

Sorry I mean to post this under questions.
The devs typically wait to release new stuff to the public until it's stable enough for daily use. Maybe not completely functional, but almost there. Jellybean isn't quite there yet. Patience
Aosp has not even been completely been worked out for ics man were is lollipop rom at. Check out the aosp topic they are working on it.

In order to get Jelly Bean I believe AOSP for ICS has to be fully worked out. ICS is almost there. There's just a number of bugs that have to be fixed.
On a side note I'm really interested in seeing what Project Butter is like. Because Neo's AOSP ROM is smooth as hell by itself already.
CM9 is stable.I think it might have to do with kernel.

We need a device similar to ours to have jb so we can port it.

Yes, by either porting it from devices similar to ours or from AOSP.

jb with sense 4.5 is already ported
cm10 not yet but they working on it ofc
EDIT
sense 4.5 is not based on jb sorry....
Thanks for the replies. I figured there was one large sticking point, but it sounds like there is a lot more to it than that. Can't wait to try Newts latest.
For Sense JB I think we would need a JB kernel which we don't have so AOSP for now.
Jelly Bean does exist but without bluetooth calling
There are Custom Jelly Bean ROMs. The only problem I have, and it's a deal-breaker, is that bluetooth calling does not work in ANY of them. I like Mean Horsey Face, but NO bluetooth...

This is great news. Thanks to both you and heyis4horses for your responses and to neo for his effort.
I haven't had good luck with 4.2. I ran it for about 18 hours, and while the BT calling and signal bars were fixed, I had scores of other issues, including choppiness, lots of force closing under heavy load, dock issues, and GPS issues (even after the GPS fix). It's still pretty broken, so don't expect miracles out of it. I'm going to be doing ROM work on it, but I'm not going to be releasing any of it until the base is in better shape.

Samsung Repp rom?

I've searched everywhere. Does anyone know of a rom for Samsung Repp? One that might put either Honeycomb, ICS, JB on it? Tired of the 2.3 gingerbread.
Anyone?

If your looking for a custom ROM for the Samsung Repp I would recommend taking a look at this ROM here http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/top...-sch-r680-repp-with-or-without-initd-support/.
