NO, there is no issue of that sort( wifi not turning ON) seen on RR v3.1.1 ma8
try restarting ur rooter and see and also which kernel ur using now.
thank you for your quick reply
I use the same kernel(cm10) and modem as before.
the problem is not with the router because i restored to 3.1.0 and now the wifi is working...
it must be a problem with the 3.1.1 rom isnt it ?

No, the wifi issue is mostly pertained to the Kerenl, try with a diff kernel like Siyah or dorimanx by selecting the same in aroma under ' Custom installation' while flashing RR v3.1.1 and then check for WIFI issue
PS- lot of people r having issue with WIFI on CM10 kernel.

I am also having problems with wireless on CM10 kernel... will reinstall with another kernel...
One question: which kernel is better, Siyah or Dorminex??
ok. i changed to syia and now its working. i tried the durimax before but it works much slower then the syia.
isnt it wierd that in 3.1.0 cm10 works fine but in the new 3.1.1 its not ??

Hi guys,
I just flashed the PA 3.99.1-RC1 Rom, after CM, and I am facng an issue, the WiFi and Network Icons are greyed out which means I am not connecting with the Google servers, I have faced this problem with every 4.3 Rom except CM, I have added the APN for the Mobile network and still nothing is working?
Does anybody have a fix for this issue because my favorite rom is indeed PA and I NEED A FIX.
Thanks.

And I have tried most solutions on the internet like rebooting -__-
Reflashing -__-
and also disabling the WIFI optimization.

hi
i have this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462906
ver 2.7.0
with fluid kernel
gps is not working...is there something i can do to make it work?
also, what is DS?
Hey, I can't say that I've had any GPS problems since I don't even use that function, but I believe at one point sada23 had a gps fix for 4.4.2 roms available. You can private message him and see if he still has it. If that doesn't work/he doesn't contact you, I would suggest flashing a different kernel and seeing if it works.

No prob. You could also try copying the gps files from the /system/etc directory on his CM11 build into the CyanAOSP build with the same format. Might work if you want a quicker fix.
Also, remember to make a nandroid and wipe before flashing. A reflash would also do you some good if you are still having issues. I've actually built a working version of Dirty Unicorns 5.0 for the Vibrant, but I can't post it because I don't have the post requirements yet. From my test builds, it flies!

Don't know, I haven't been able to test it. You can flash it right now. It's Dirty Unicorns v5.0 in the dev forums. See if it works any better.
Hi All,
I've got my S2 (i9100) Dual Booting, between KitKat and Lollipop.... and whilst the KitKat is just fine, the guide said Lollipop will boot with Apolo Kernel.
Well so far I've downloaded 2x Lollipop kernels from Apolo, and neither of them boot it up....
So, are there any other Kernels out there that are for Android 5.x (Lollipop) please, and if so, where...??
Thanks, Lister

Only apolo kernel currently support lollipop. Gustavo kernel will start supporting lollipop soon (I think).
Make sure you download the proper version of Apolo kernel, which is 8.0 beta3 for CM12, otherwise it won't work. Try Apolo-8.0_Beta3_Regular-TWRP.zip and try running the kernel cleaning script before installing Apolo.
Hi @gsstudios,
Thank you for your reply, I look forward to any updates regarding this kernel... As there is only is only one out there at the moment, as you've also mentioned. Are you involved in this Gustavo kernel??
Also, may I pick your brains over something that I posted here, as I saw your reply on a similar nature here....
(sorry, work has crept in... so I'll update this post a bit later with current situation)
Many thanks, Lister

Hi @acydwarp,
Yeah i followed the Apolo thread, and selected the (branch 8) link, however it took me to like about 6x different files.... So I tried the one i thought was the most normal one... ie: Regular.
Apolo-8.0_Beta3_Regular-TWRP.zip and this is the one I am having problems with. After flashing this, it won't boot Lollipop for me. I've also tried the LITE version too, and that't not worked either.
What's this "Cleaning script" all about, how do I find it, and what does it do...? I've seen reference to it mentioned in other threads too, is it the same as RomNuker2 or something similar to that....??
Thanks, Lister

You mean kernel cleaning script by hawker? It deletes left over files from kernels and deletes the current kernel to prevent issues from occurring. You can find the kernel cleaning script by using google or you can go to the Gustavo kernel thread and there will be a link that will take you to download the script. Cheers.
What cm12 beta build are you on? The latest builds are experimental and the builds before that are buggy too. This could have stopped compatibility with apolo kernel. Also, Omni 5.0 for our device is facing serious problems with this kernel. Avoid it until this problem is fixed!
Whenever i turn on data, the signal icon turns like shown in ss, and also an exclamation mark comes in the quick settings sim tab.
I'm on Citrus CAF 7.0 rom with Radon Kernel 3.0 installed.

well...its your choice then
actually i also used miui firmware at my current rom, aicp 20161116.
Please does anybody else face this issue?
Whenever I install Magisk 19.x on Xiaomi.EU 9.6.27 my WiFi is totally broken, though both HotSpot and Bluetooth are working fine.
But on the same ROM if I uninstall Magisk 19.x and install Magisk 18.x everything gets back to normal.
...
I was tricked into thinking that my Poco is water damaged, because yesterday I did some video recording under the rain. Had it not been I dirty flash the ROM and install Magisk 18.2, I would have ended in Service Center.
....
After few Google searches I tried several methods from some XDA & GitHub threads but none of them worked.
Please how can I get WiFi to work with Magisk 19.x.
Thank you.
[UPDATE:] I flashed custom Kernel as suggested by @ZETRONIX and my problem is solved.
Hi Friend Try To Change To Stable MIUI ROM (Xiaomi.eu, MI Room, etc...) It Might Solve Your Issue Or Try To Use The Stock Kernel If You're Using Custom Kernel Or If You're Using Stock Kernel Try Custom Kernel
There Is An WI-FI Issue When You Use Custom Kernel + MIUI Based ROM Such As Mine FK Kernel + MIUI EU (But It's Fixed Already) But Custom Kernel Could Also Fix Your Issue
