I recommend you flash the stock mi rom , then install TWRP then radio blobs and then install the ** LASTEST **rom that you need *i know this is what you did* , but since you are getting the error , please consider it .

Not kernel
Flashed whole old ROM back solved 2% bug
Unofficial RR has no such bug
N official RR till 20th build
N all others bfor July builds were fine to use without this bug

I've done that for several times. Didn't work.
I've noticed that there is no battery status, when booted in recovery mode. All available screenshots of TWRP (coffee, Alca) HAVE battery status.
Only TWRP 3.0.2.M4 by TheStrix shows battery, but it's stuck at 50%
Probably the root of evil is kernel, which doesn't support some modifications of battery controller.

Flash stock using MiFlash tool via edl mode doing so will over right the kernel to stock . then flash any lastest rom , and dont use the rom pakage that you used earlier . There are devices with different FP scanner and camera , modules but the OS/ROM/EMMC are the same for all the devices .

Newly updated July build kernels have that bug
Noticed by flashing 2 to 3 ROMs of July 2nd build
Kernel of a bit old build can also flashble in latest one that can probably solve this issue
But WiFi doesn't work

Use alka 3.0 then flash first 8th build of unofficial RR without blobs n additional files
Just simply flash n see
Do clean flash compulsory

@RC_Vinchenzo , Yeah , that's the only thing left . download twrp alka , clean wipe , flash radio blobs , flash the ROM , then gapps .
Thx!
Found old build of RR Unofficial 5.6.9 (08.06.2016) works almost properly on my device! No battery bug , but fingerprint is unavailable
Something happened to CM core, so it stopped supporting some hardware modifications.

Hello,
I'm using from six months or so the Lineage OS rom for my device. Since I changed rom from MIUI to this my phone reboots by itself like 3 times per day. I want to know if there is a solution for this problem except changing rom.
I also have flashed the franco kernel and magisk, if this can give you more necessary informations
Thanks in advance
Flash another rom

Didn't notice it was broken - us version here.
It booted, but was very slow and laggy, even did a system cache wipe....Then restoring the default boot.img had wifi not working....Just FYI for those who want to try...Do a backup
Is the only benefit to have magisk modules on stock rom? I have XT1806 rooted TWRP r9 Gladius Magisk 14.3 flashed this kernel but kept booting straight to recovery...had to do a full restore. I'm looking for custom kernels that provide speed and power benefits. Thanks
Would you mind sharing the build sequence/commands?

Just a note on kernels
I've tested many many kernels on many devices. When they are configured the same, performance/battery is about the same. Any difference was slight enough to be considered noise in the test methods. I always suggest to learn about kernel parameters then tweak it to the way you want. Any kernel will give more performance, or battery life, or anything between - all depends on how you configure it.
Ps - same device, same twrp, supersu instead of magisc, no problems. Except seems not compatible with ex kernel manager - it doesn't apply settings. I believe it doesn't set proper permissions to be able to write. But hey, it's young and a stockish kernel, hope to see more.

Here's a link to GeneticEngineer's AFH-hosted original kernel from the TWRP thread. I don't think he'll mind it being reposted in this thread. This should tide people over until you can iron out the bugs in your build.

Thanks for picking up the baton and running with it, incidentally. I did ask GeneticEngineer to create a thread for his kernel but perhaps he missed the message.

Thanks. I tried it and still wouldn't pass SafetyNet. The fingerprint gestures worked though. I am running it on a secondary ROM. Maybe that is causing the issue?

I've built a fully working stock kernel which has the needed commits for Magisk modules to work correctly and passes SafetyNet [emoji6]. Need to do some more updating (upstream) but I plan on posting it soon, probably new thread (Resurrected Kernel).

A stock based kernel isn't gonna play well with custom ROMs, unless your secondary ROM is a stock ROM? I plan on creating one for cm-14.1+ based ROMs too.

Hi all.
Compatibility:
Builds starting with r1 work with MIUI, MIUI Pie Beta and custom roms based on LineageOS.
Builds starting with r5 are only for MIUI Pie and custom roms.

wow! just in time I've bought a Pocophone, Franco in the house!!!
I miss franco kernels... Now its on poco. Well done
Damn,, finally..
Just a sidenote, this has been tested successfully with both Stock MIUI 10.0.6.0 and LineageOS 16.0. Also tested IR Face Unlock on both and it works flawlessly.
Also FK doesn't touch WiFi in any shape or form, doesn't replace the built-in WiFi module, or touches anything in /system. If you come from other Kernels who replace the WiFi module I would suggest you dirty flash your rom first because FK just tries to use whatever is already there.
The legend is here.. Mantap jiwaa.. ?
Nice! Can someone confirm if it works on Pixel Experience rom?

Same here man. WiFi and hotspot aren't working..
wifi no work and random restart in miui eu 11-29
Nothing I can do about it. What mattered to me is compatibility with stock MIUI and custom roms support without messing with WiFi in any shape or form. Betas aren't really my goal since things change everytime.
It's fine, we're just reporting. Just ignore the beta stuff.
I already updated the OP with a warning "Don't flash on MIUI Pie beta".

Hello xda,
im having this annoying issue of the primary camera not working on any of the custom roms. i tried alot of custom roms still and it wasnt working in anyone of them. Don't know what issue is this. camera doesnt work in any type of camera operation related apps. I always follow the full clean rom flash instructions provided by the respective developers.
Please help me with the solutions.
when you say it doesn't work? what do u mean? the app is crashing ? or app works but all you see is black window? please explain?
remember even on custom rom , gcam crashes sometimes!

Fastboot Flash the stable miui and try custom roms again..
Also, when you are flashing the ROM's, are you also flashing the firmware/vendor packages with the ROM?
