Stock launcher apk? - 7" Kindle Fire HD Themes and Apps

Hi, I managed to delete the backup I have of the stock walk and wondering if anyone could upload it so I can get mine back and if anyone else manages to? Sorry if this is in the wrong section
EDIT: This is for the FIre 2, I didn't make that very clear. All I need is for someone to run adb pull /system/app/Launcher.apk - this doesn't require root, just ADB turned on on the kind;e and it set up on your computer. Or some other method to go back to complete stock is fine.
Thanks,
X10man

Here is a copy from an HD. Not sure if they are interchangeable but wouldn't see why not, unless there is something different because of different screen resolutions. Sorry if it doesn't help.

IS this bootstrap app the one i need for recovery install
It's Called System Recovery.
So just to be clear. Now if I screw (soft brick?) my phone I can just use the 2.3.3 sbf and root that correct. Yay no more going all the way back. I can just root GB and restore my nandroid I made with eclipse Rom running.

Correctimundo.
I have had troubles running the script provided even the v7 that is posted now i have re-written the instructions and will compile an app later that can be run on windows to make sure the paths are all ok. Creating the local.prop file and not getting into the shell first was acting up on my XP box. I have a party to head out to but once I get back I will get the app written and tested again. Also I cannot take screens with drocap on the X2, I think it's a Tegra issue can anyone confirm or know of a screen shot app that works on Tegras
Just used AndroSS but it works without root on the X2 but at least i can get some screens of the terminal and a few other places now.
I'm Not Sure I'm Following, There's A Script With The 1 Click Program?
Yes there is a .bat file but running that did not work so I compared the steps and was looking over the command set and it was not properly sending the shell commands on my workstation. It may have been an issue with custom paths I run at the office. Could have been a windows version issue as well. If its written in vb.net I can call a vbscript to use send keys which will prevent that.

[Q] Help! How to backup phone without screen?

Smashed my SG2 sceen, it's going off for repair and I'd like to make a ROM image back up but I can't see the screen. Any tools out there that can do this from the PC?
I've used the screencast function in Droid Explorer to make a Titanium Backup but I'd like a full ROM backup for extra peace of mind.
Any ideas?

You could try using MHL out to mirror your display to a TV.
i think you can do via adb in recovery but i dont know the commands

I'm not certain. That's why I said "try". I've never attempted it, so I don't know if it would work. The idea to do it in adb while in recovery is a better one though. A bit embarrassed I didn't think of that instead of the MHL idea.

Post the commands in the thread when you're done; if someone happens to search (I know, I'm dreaming) they may find this thread and you'll be a God like hero to them.
Edit: Quoted the wrong person because I'm a dumbass.
Exact same post within the last few months a search of that may help .

{For All Xperia} Online Nandroid Backup / Nandroid Backup without re-booting

Hey there guys I came across this useful tool today when I was poking around the ARC section it lets you make a nandroid without having to boot into recovery. This isnt my work Im simply passing it on so I hope he doesnt care too much about me posting this here.
***ALL crdeit goes to ameer1234567890***
Nandroid backups are usually performed in recovery mode. This means you would have to turn off your phone and reboot in recovery mode, which wastes a whole lot of time rebooting and a lot more time offline. For me, this has been a killer as I do regular nandroid backups. Having to reboot in recovery and finding missed calls, sms from my wife and friends is totally not accepatable for me. So, I set to develop an online nandroid backup tool which can do nandroid backups without switching off my phone.
Today, I am releasing it to public, as it may serve good for some others too. This tool is specifically for Xperia phones, but should work with any model of android phones.
This tool backups /system , /data , /cache & .android_secure partiotions to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup directory. The date format used for folder name is the same used by CWM itself and nandroid backups created with this tool can safely be restored using CWM. If you would want to have a custom name for backup folder, pass an argument with the name to the script and it will use the name.
Feedback (especially ideas to improve) are most welcome.
Requirements
1. Rooted android phone
2. A terminal emulator installed on phone
3. Busybox
4. A working CWM based recovery installed
5. Some patience
Installation
1. Download and copy zip file to SD card
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Choose install zip from SD card, select zip and flash .
4. Reboot!
Usage
1. Open terminal emulator
2. Type su to obtain root
3. Type onandroid
4. Wait and watch

When I tried to run this, it says "Checking for required tools" followed by "mkyaffs2image not found in path"
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling busybox and installing it to /system/bin and not xbin. This time it sort of ran but I got a bunch of errors and no backup.
Any suggestion on how to fix this?

Isn't this inherently flawed since files on the rom are still being used and written while the backup is taking place? Neat idea though, don't get me wrong

Fair enough. Hopefully people follow the advice of not doing anything during the backup, so they aren't disappointed when the changes don't get backed up
Should be fine I've taken a call and sent a few text messages while backing up. No problems for me at all

I tried to do a restore from the online nandroid backup I made and even though it said "restore complete" my SD-ext(4) partition would not load its shortcuts and widgets. The funny part is link2sd didn't even detect any SD-ext as if it wasn't backed up. I thought it said that it backed up SD-ext during online backup, but not sure. I'm wondering if it might help to factory restore before restoring backup. I may try that to see and I'll report back if noone reports similar problem.
Edit**During backup I was not doing anything else with phone other then watching the amazing online backup screen. Also I tried to "re-create mount scripts" but never got option from link2sd even after reboot.

This tool (prior to v3) does not backup sd-ext partition. In the first post, you can see what the tool backups.
PS: If you can send me a previous backup of your sd-ext, I can work on adding sd-ext backup support to the script.
I still can't get this to work.

How to delete 2 files from stock SBF ?

Hi,
I am using Photon in India and now and then I keep on re-flashing to stock. I would like to know how to delete 2 files from the stock SBF file so I don't have to root my phone for deleting those 2 files after flashing ..?
I need to delete /system/app/Sprintomadmconn.apk abd obex files I think. They are used to activate the phone over sprint but as I am in India I dont need them and everytime I flash etc. I have to wait, root then delete those 2 files to remove the activation.
Is it possible that I delete those 2 files from SBF itself so they never get installed in the first place ?
Thanks.
Its best not to mess with the SBF. While I'm not sure where they're located, it will ultimately cause the SBF to fail unless you try speed hacking. Then again, you shouldn't try that either. Its better to just create a script to remove them

Did you just come from a 4.1.2 rom? If so use grab a file manager from the market and look under /data/media/.
If you switched to a 4.2 and up rom, you will see /data/media/0(this is your NEW home directory and all your data is hiding in /data/media/.
Simply move everything to /0 and your space will be correct again.
I did a full wipe into 4.3. Will your solution rectify the issue still?
Edit: I deleted the folder because i had no need for anything there. Do i have to Do this everytime i install a 4.2+ rom?

Only if you go back to a 4.1 rom, its a google thing I am not versed enough in, but hopefully it helped you out. You can do some reading up if you so choose. Because 4.2 introduced users, they had to make a change to file structure to support it if I am not mistaken.
Did it fix the issue?
Edit: Which folder did you delete?
Yeah I've noticed it messed where I had to point rom toolbox for backups.
I deleted media folder in data. Rebooted. Reloaded some apps that were affected by it. It seemed to get rid of the files in my 0/Legacy/SD and one more folder, finally freeing up my phone. Thanks for the help!

Hello Sir I'm in the same situation. So all I need to do to get straight is go to data media and delete the media file. Then reboot and I'll be straight.
I'm aware all my pictures and stuff will be gone but that's OK. Will I still have my recovery. If so it would probably be wise to make a nandroid now. Correct. Thank you for any help.
