Hi all! In LG Optimus L7 (P700) thread we need some serious help. Our phone has a lot potential for development but unfortunately we luck from developers. The only thing we have is proper rootin tool but we don't have custom recovery yet...As a result, we can't port Rom's and we can't have the benefits of a custom recovery...Is there any developer willing to help us? There are a lot people in thread willing to try and test your effort in our phone and of course willing to donate! It's a pitty having a very nice and elegant android phone and yet no custom recovery...Please help us!:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

I want this too. Bump this up there, we need more guys on the L7's. I'm willing to help with development, I may have a crack at a custom recovery myself.

Here is our development thread but we only got working root tool for v10i. It's just funny that from what I saw (sorry I checked your info) you are from Australia and in my previous phone (Galaxy 3 i5800) an Australian guy was one of the main developers! Hooray for Australia!!!

Question for YOU though, how did you root? I'm on the latest update, I'll have to check later, but if I downgrade to root, do I lose my data?

No need to downgrade anymore...There is working tool here for v10i ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32031942#post32031942 and in my signature you will find the hard way for root...

Hi guys, I'm quite new to the android field and own Lg optimus one. To be frank I've got no idea what this-rooting or overclockin or custom kernel or rom is, though i google it everyday!

You need the following stuff:
1) root (can get it via z4root, SuperOneClick, Gingerbreak)
2) custom recovery (ClockworkMod, AmonRA)
3) custom ROM - froyo or gb based (devoid.franco, void#echo, megatron, CM7 by mik_os, GingerBread by andy)
If you are looking for performance, I'd suggest you to flash devoid.franco, andy's GB or mik_os CM7. Read the feedback from users on each thread and flash the ROM that suits you best.
Instructions how to install different stuff you can get on each developer's thread.

you are lucky man,
finaly it works now follow the instructions on the thread below but be warned: it's the first try to get CWM on th LG Optimus L7 and there may be some bugs so you do this on your own risk of course. But for mine there was no problem with this procedure. So thanks to the Guys who makes this possible.

...but they are working on it. look at the thread below where you can follow the latest developement. I think they have opend a newer thread but i haven't search for it because i spend less time at the moment on XDA.

the process of enjoying the whole phone has been slightly extended.
but it is possible to run CWM or other recovery, unlock bootloader, root...

If you would have read XDA's rules, you would know you aren't allowed to ask for ETAs, plus it is obviously that there are no roms for this device.If you would have just searched through the topics instead of getting lazy and considered that spamming the forum would be easier, taking in consideration that there are at least two others topics about this...geez :silly: .

You posted in the wrong forum and on top of that, you are requesting something that is illegal. That is a hell of a start as a relatively new member.
Consider this a final warning and If I were you I'll put more thinking on my next post .

Google is your friend. there are already a few threads that have nearly asked the same question.
Plus you have asked this same question basically the same questions multiple times now,with no response. which means either it isn't possible or hasn't been done.
If your device isn't the European version good rule of thumb is not to cross flash hard bricks can result.
I know in the past its not been possible. unless it has changed

There is a Mencken on the LG g3 about cust zip so I know it is possible......someone is to lazy or just don't want to know.......

Honestly if you dont have the skills you shouldnt be attempting what ypu are trying to do. A hardbrick could occour
It has never stoped me b4 a while ago I unlocked a g4 and flashed recovery all my life I have been told I can't do this can't do that because of the dyslexia also affects my balance I was told I'd never be able too ride a bike but did that didn't get it done until I 10 but did it anyway I find it annoys me when people say that I should be able to do thing.....
Also have had heaps of Samsung's device's.....also had a few g3 with root and recovery and a g flex 2 with root and flashafire with xposed module.....so not a rookie in the android world.
