Hi guys
I've been using my s3 for 2 days and I'm so pleased to back to android
The overall performance is great like iphone smooth. However, sometimes three is a refresh delay after using the browser and flipboard for a while.
Do you guys have same problem?
I'm just wondering If it's a just bug.
One more!
Wifi is not working at times as well. Whenever I use some specific apps it loads so slow.
Is it a faulty device or just some bug??

Hi, I've been using a number of ics roms since it was released and am currently on wanam v 12. I was wondering if anyone else has had a very slow response from the stock camera since moving to ics, never had any problems with gingerbread. The camera takes a picture normally but takes several seconds to finally respond and able to take another picture. Any advice?

Probably not the advice you're looking for, but try miui rom, specifically cmiui. The camera is really nippy on that one.
It may be a CM9 camera apk that's installed in cmiui. You could see if you could track down the apk on its own if you don't want to flash another rom.
And I know what you mean, every ics rom has given me bad lag with taking pics.

The GS2 doesn't have zero-shutter lag, but I am not experiencing a few seconds worth of lag as you are.
Try clearing data in App Info, which will hopefully fix your issue.
Try alternative cameras on the Play Store, namely Camera ICS.
Report back and tell me if that fixes anything.
Hey thanks for the advice! I cleared data on the app and is way faster now.

Recently, my galaxy player doesnt want to load web pages. Refreshing the web page doesnt solve anything and restarting the device doesnt help (somewhat). I understand the wifi bug that is on 2.3.5 which is the version i am currently using. Would flashing a 2.3.6 rom fix this problem im having or could the wifi card is finally pooping on me? I got the device in June and only droped it once which was about two weeks ago on a very warn out carpit. The Facebook app even pulls the "connection lost. Tap the screen" notification and tapping it does not fix it. Please help. Thank you.

Try flashing a rom like Chip v1.5 or Erygit. If you don't care about the camera, try Hydrog3n, a really cool ICS build that runs super fast.

Hello all.
I have a Galaxy S3 (i9300) and changed the stock rom to CyanogenMod 10.1. As I was not satisfied with the camera I decided to go back to stock. I downloaded the foirmware in sammobile.com sock and put the rom with odin. After that I had several problems. I tried other versions of the stock rom, but nothing worked. When I turn on the phone, it takes longer than normal on the first screen (the first screen to turn on, where it appears samsung galaxy s 3). After the android loads, everything works normally, but when you connect the phone to pc it is not recognized, and the worst of the problems, when he gets some time with the screen off (locked) when I click to wake it, it takes too long to turn on the screen, or does not care, having to be restarted. I think he does not shut down, but is frozen with the screen off. When this happens I get the impression that the phone FIVA a little warm.
Can you help?
Thank you!

Ive already answered this thread but i cant see my post here, so im just gonna repost.
It looks like you mightve flashed the wrong stock version of the rom.
Also under my point of view cyanogenmod is not stable enough for s3, it is intelligible after all since the s3 is not in desperate need of updated roms for now, also there are mo stable 10 builds yet. I guess u chose cyanogen because it is very popular or because ure used to it, but ill go ahead and suggest anyways u flash jellybam or foxhound or rootbox roms, they are very stable and well developed.
As for the camera app: simply go into stock rom and thru titanium backup make a backup of the camera app(its advisable to clear app cache and data first), then flash the new rom and stuff, and then reinstall titanium backup and install the app backup. It should be easy since i own both original jelly bean camera and samsung galaxy s3 stock camera apps on my phone... reverting back to stock is useless once u got the power of the dark side of root

killbubble,
Thanks for the reply.
I decided to use the Cyanogem because I like pure android. My previous phone was a Razr i (congratulations, Motorola). Very fast and clean. Samsung did a good job in the design of TouchWiz, and it seems unnecessarily heavy. Anyway, I want to return my phone to stock and totally do away with these instability problems.
R: [Q] Problems back to stock
In that case...its not gonna be too easy. I really must advise you against returning to stock, it's not THAT stable (there are some bugs in stock as well) and jellybam or foxhound are much better roms. But if you DO wish to get back to stock i think u need to visit the rootgalaxysiii.com site and look for your phone's stock rom...but it is very easy to make a mistake, maybe thats why your phone is so slow....

I just remembered that I had a backup of cyanogen. I did the root stock that was giving problems and recovered the backup. the problem of delay in the first screen when I turn on my phone and the screen freeze issue after some time locked, were not resolved. I do not know what else to try.

when I'm listening to music, the freezing problem after staying some time with the screen off does not happen. these two symptoms are very strange: slow first boot screen and freezing after some time with the screen off.

Problem found!
The unit stopped working completely. I searched the internet and saw that the problem is Sudden Death. I sent for technical assistance.
Now just wait.
Hi, I have just purchased my new s3 2 days ago and I'm loving it.. Until now. It is a rooted s3 32gb running cm 10.1.3 stable.
Here's the problem, out of nowhere my s3 touch screen started playing up. The input lag is far greater than it was before and my keyboard has become really sluggish and slow. Also, the touchscreen will also do weird things like if I try and click on an app it flips to the next app page instead. I've tried different kernels, killed apps and fully optimised my device to 100% yet it's still the same. I even reflashed my room but still no change.
The strange thing is that the device still performs tasks flawlessly with no problems, it's just the touchscreen input that isn't doing what it should.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Just fixed the issue after 5h of trial and error, it was caused by having magnification gestures on in the settings menu lol :/
