On the official samsung announcement it was promised that the sgs2 will have a cisco vpn anyconnect client. However I failed to find it, or any ETA, does anybody know any details about it?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I've been searching for that aswell but failed to find it. Apperently it is not on the SGS2.
I would like to be able to use it too, so if there is any info please share.
I sorta got it working.. I had to decrypt the pcf file first to get the Group password and the I used an app called vpnc from the marketplace and put in the details from the pcf file and it seems to work. I haven't got citrix running over the vpn yet, still working on that
here is the announcement
on the samsung site under /global/business/mobile/solutions.html#security_vpn
it should be possible without decryption etc., unfortunately the "more information" text on the samsung site is not linked...

I ain't no praying samsung promised it as a feature of the sgs2 (see my earlier msg), and it was one of the reasons I bought it. So I demand it!!

I am now using vpnc and I didn't have to do all the tun stuff, just needed root and that was all.

It's comming
OK, so after two weeks of pain with calling Samsung tech support I was finally given the secret number for their UK head office, just to get me off their backs! HA!
I was told that these missing features are indeed scheduled for a future firmware release. They are going to try and find someone for me to talk to (apparently in Sales) who knows when these are scheduled to land.
Will let you know more if I hear back from them.
Yeah mine is rooted. I lasted 3 days when I brought it, I can't stand buying something and having certain features locked...
It's finally here !
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cisco.anyconnect.vpn.android
and works fine (only the permanent icon in the status bar is a bit annoying)
Hey guys, I couldn't find any working Miqlive for the E3D, or gingerbread period.
I emailed the devs and this is what they sent me. Works like a champ for me.
Here's the email traffic as well...
First response:
"Greetings from mIQ! Thank you for your email.
mIQ is not yet available for Android Gingerbread.
Unfortunately we do not yet have a timeline for 2.3 support.
Our currently application should work on your phone, though it has not been
thoroughly tested. Because of this, it is not yet available in the Market.
If you'd like to try it anyway, we can send you the APK to test out.
Let us know.
Sincerely,
mIQ Customer Care"
Second response:
"Greetings from mIQ!
The APK is attached.
1. Copy the APK file to your Android?s memory card
2. Download and install an Apps Installer application from the Android Market
3. Once installed, the Apps Installer will display the APK files on the memory
card
4. Click and install the APK file
We look forward to your feedback.
Sincerely,
mIQ Customer Care"
It easily synced my contacts from the online account to my phone. It did not push all my old texts and photos from my Evo 4g to the 3d though, but thats fine for my use.
All of the old 4g content is still available online and the new 3d content is being backed up just fine as well.
Thank You!
I just rooted and flashed to 2.3, and have been looking for a good apk. Syncing right now!

no problem.
just a heads up - i have noticed issues on some roms with it, i think it may be custom kernel related, but i'm not really sure what causes the conflict.
Has anyone been successful with installing Iris at all on the eris? Install works, but says "No Speech Input"
is it safe to post the apk link? they claim it's in alpha/beta state right now ..

It works fine on my Eris. Make you you have Voice Search and the TTS library installed. Iris relies on them.
You may also want to take a look and consider Speaktoit.

Is the spot for voice search.apk
hi guys,
maybe one of u know what that is. i found this .apk in many 4.0.3 cusatom roms and dont know what it does. tried to google it but found no info about that .
for example i found this apk in the newest omega rom and the vk rom.
this app is shown as android system app but no one knows what is does .
/me
I just found the following post by amor12 on the galaxy s3 forum.
DSM states for "Dedicated Security Management " or "Digital Signal Modulation " Which allows this app to get a full control over the phone using voice channel only... Dsmlawmo is to get full control over the phone, track it, reset and stuff like that. It's probably to control and repair the phone remotely when calling tmo cs, but I personally don't like it. DSMForwarding to forward all the calls and SMS to CS ...
IMHO.

has some thing changed?
ive tried both my vpn services, market access still has root access and working as per usual as far as i can tell ...
has good changed the way the play store checks for regions ?
no body?
Same issue here!and i searched this issue online,it seems that everyone complains about that Market Access doesn't work any more since last month.

well is there a workaround ?? :/
No there has not been a work around that we know of. Google is now using many things including where your email addy is registered at to set your market.
