In stock stage, my phone(SGS2) had ics 4.0.4!
Then i flashed it with custom rom(ressurection remix + siyah kernel) and i wanted back to stock!
Ive downloaded stock ROM but ICS 4.0.3....
Then i flashed kernel via odin ( Siyah)...
Thats all.... last night had 27% battery, i put my phone in standby mode from 1.00am - 10:35am... my phone had 13% battery! :S

There is a thousand and one reasons to cause battery drain from misbehaving apps to the media scanner constantly running. To find the culprit download better battery stats from play store. Leave your phone as normal then post screen shots of results in the BBS thread where experienced users will help you out. All the best.

You can try to turn the phone off, remove the battery for 2 minutes and restart the phone. I think it is this "fuel_alarm" thing...

Try changing kernels.
Okay, I will try the LP6 Kernel in the latest CM9 Build.
/edit: Okay, it's the LPB Kernel?

Ya, the LPB kernel has some issues from what I heard including: battery, touch screen and some other minor issues, i'd recommend everyone to stick with LP6 kernel for now
The kernel is the heart of you phones firmware.Thats why when you flash the wrong one you brick your phone.By changing it you can fix things that you thought had nothing to do with it.People think thats it only a kernel, just another part of the firmware but its probably the most valuable when it comes to how your phone functions.
I have sam e problem so it's most likely bug. But I guess you can live without rebooting too much

i had that kind of behaviour even on stock rom and kernel. still happens from time to time, never figured out why. not as drastic though (most of the time)
you can try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312273&page=16
it worked for e when i had a similar problem

This can still happen on a stock ROM if the stock kernel is corrupt. It can be fixed by reflashing the kernel or firmware.
Glad to hear that I'm not the only one with that Problem.
Now I have the LP6 Kernel. It's better...
@shumo: I'll check your link If I will be online with my PC.
@makrilli: Yeah, but sometimes the CM9 ROM is crashing or freezing, so I have to reboot...

I have looked everywhere for an answer but have found nothing. I can use my phone just fine until it completely freezes. I am left with no option but to take the battery out and restart and come back to a low battery that went from roughly 80% to 10%. I have no clue what to do. I'm not sure if i need to wipe and format. Can anyone give me some advice? If it's a case of having to wipe, can I have details on how to do this without losing information?
Thanks

i think you have the original firmware, try to install the newest firmware LSJ you can get this at sammobile.com or you can choose a custom rom which you can find here

Yeah, you're on an official rom, and since you don't know what it means, I assume you don't underclock (UC) and/or undervolt (UV)
Ever considered rooting and flashing a custom rom? Or, like stated above me, flash some other official firmware through Odin to see if the problems still excist (except someone else has another sollution).

u got 2 options :
1.spend the rest of ur life trying to figure out wats causing the freezing to this retarded android system AND never find an answer
2.save ur time, money and efort and do ur self a favour : buy a real smart phone that works and does all it promises .... buy an iPhone
Hi, Im currently using the XXLSJ rom with its default kernel. The phone will shut down by itself and short pressing of the power button does not wake it up. It can only be restarted by long pressing the power button for 10s, and the battery will drop by almost 30%. This problem mostly occur during extended periods of not using the phone when Im sleeping. Attached is the screen shot of the battery profile. Please help!

U can try to flash a new kernel for example Siyah's (gokhanmoral.com)
[Latest is v.6x I think]
But at all I think a reflash or a factory reset wouldn't be wrong, too...
I can't say how u update and if u already did?!?

Can't say how is the definition of "screen of death", but I think yes the phone is hanging up with a black screen.
So a turn on is first possible after reboot (long press Powerbutton)

Your phone(battery) has insane faulty chip(everyone had it) if phone hot( sometimes without) it takes battery about 20-50%(I don't know exactly) or sometimes add to your battery....

From what I understand you can not go to 4.0.4
There may be another solution?

you had updated to jelly bean, so you cant go back to ics, thats why you got the cdt.bin error
if you had battery problems, try to use use phone after full charge until it almost ends, or use other governors & schedulers, like hotplug & sio, try to not overclock your phone, turn off mobile data when not in use, use the grenify app, you can find it in the playstore. it hibernates apps

Could anyone tell me if there is anything wrong? I get these battery stats, and i lost about 20% in 2 hours with 15 min of spotify, a little internet (wifi/3g). Is that normal the screen usage? My brightness is very low, i disabled auto brightness. Should i try to flash a new firmware? Again, what is that lcdtest (about 10% of usage) ?

you've got facebook and chrome too buddy! they drain the battery well!
Same with me too..
You could try grenify and auto stats to help with aplication that drain a lot of battery
I have the same problem . I tried to wipe battery stats in recovery mode and the battery drain gone.

yes dude,
i do using greenify too, it's better than traditional battery savers or task killers.
u can use greenify, but to use the real potential of this app, you need root to full hibernation. look the apk developer instructions and tips.
best regards
