Hi,
First of all. Thanks for you time reading and trying to help on my problem.
While im installing RR v2.7, my charger is attached on my phone and my touchscreen is still working on that time. After the installation finished, I decided to boot it on recovery but it doesn't reboot to recovery and I think it hangs so I decided to take off the battery while the charger is attached on my phone and after that my phone boots normally but my touchscreen doesnt work anymore. Anyone can help me with this? Tried to unplug plug sim and battery but it doest work
Volume down and Up, home button and power button works only the touchscreen.
Anyone can help me with this?
Problem solved. I just reinstall the kernel.

Hello Guys,
I am facing an uncommon issue.. Yesterday i was using my phone normally and suddenly it started to bootlooping. I thought it is a normal boot loop so tried to enter into recovery mod but no luck.:crying::crying::crying:
Then i tried To start odin to flash stock ROM. but after i enter into download mode it asks do you want to continue... Nothing happens when i press up volume key and after few moments phone reboots. At first I thought it was a Volume key issue. But even if i keep it on the confirmation window the phone reboot in sometime..
One more thing when i kept phone for charging it shows charging icon for some time and then it shuts down and shows charging icon again..
If anyone have any solution please help..
Thanks
Sounds like the power button is shorted out, warranty repair required.
What rom are you on? More details needed..
Hey, I've just installed the ViperDNA rom and tought I would try it out. I've installed everything correctly with TWRP and Aroma showed me everything was installed fine.
Now I am booting my phone and I've noticed it was stuck for over 7 minutes in splash screen, so I tought okay I will do a hard-reset. I've pressed over the home button for a minute and the it didn't restart, the panel was flashing but it didn't restart. I've tried to click on other buttons and all but it didn't work, I've connected it to the PC and tried to find it with ADB and it showed the device is not connected. The battery is full and it's in the splash screen still, how could I possibly restart the phone?
- ADB dosen't find the phone
- Tried to check if suddenly the phone is stuck in fastboot (sometimes happend with my old phones, unknown how)
- Tried to press the home button for over 1 minute to restart when it should be 10 seconds.
Anyone knows how to do something? I am hoping my battery will run out somehow like this, but untill then. I need some suggestions.
Hard reset is holding power button for 10secs not home.
Sent from my DNA using my mind.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I have a YP-G70 US version, was running CWM with SlimKat 4.4.2 and everything was going great. I went to power it on today and it seemed like it wouldn't respond to anything. I can get it into "download" mode, and Odin sees it. I've installed the kernel (both DD_01142012.tar and YP-G70-Kernel-r14.tar) about a dozen times and it always succeeds and reboots, then sits at the Samsung loading screen. Holding the power button for 8-10 seconds powers the unit off.
I can't get into recovery mode at all, just download mode. Another thing to note, when I plug it into usb power, it turns on to show the battery, as soon as the battery appears the bottom three buttons light up and it reboots. The power button will work to turn the device off, but not on. For instance, if I'm in download mode, or the battery screen is appearing, holding the power button will turn it off.
Any ideas what's going on or what I can try?
Thanks!
I've made a little progress. If I let the device charge until it's full, then the power button will boot once into recovery. Now when I try to install the rom I get the following error;
E:Error in /sdcard/Slim-venturi-4.4.2.build.2.5.RC1-unofficial-20140129-1514.zip
(Status 0)
Installation Aborted.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Ok, sorry this is so crazy. After formatting the /system it looks like the rom finally installed without errors.
I still have the strange battery reboot issue when it's powered off and plugged in. If anyone knows how to fix that I'd love to know how.
Thanks!

Did you flash a ROM after wiping the system? That's why it's bootlooping.
I finally got slimkat back on it, but it won't startup, it just shows the slimkat logo and sits there forever.
The battery issue still exists. I have another YP-G70 and I've done all the same installations on it and it's working great. I'm not sure why this one is so wonky.
Thanks again for the assistance.
I flashed the rom again and now it booted into slimkat. The battery still seems to not know what's going on. I know in one of the original boot roms I saw something about erasing the battery stats. Would that help get the battery reading working again? or anything I can do inside Slimkat to fix that?
Thanks!
The bootloop while the device is off and charging is a known problem.
Thanks for the response. I left the device off and eventually it charged and many of the issues while running went away, however the battery bootloop is still happening. Good to know it's a known issue.
Hi. I am desperate. Two weeks ago I had to remove the power button of my S3 because the phone kept rebooting.
Now, I installed a ROM that ended into bootloops, so I need to enter into recovery mode. With the power button, this would be easy, however since I don't have it, I don't know what to do. I installed Boeffla kernel and Validus ROM when I got the boot loop.
To turn the phone on, what I did was to remove the battery, put it again, and then plug the phone for one second and unplug it. I tried pressing down volume + home while doing that, and it doesn't change anything. The pone will simply try to boot the ROM.
Is there any way to enter into recovery mode without a power button? Otherwise, I will have to throw my precious S3 to the trash, and I definitely not want that! Please help!
Thanks in advance.
Finally, I managed to fix it by performing adb reboot recovery while the phone was loading the ROM (during the ROM animation).
Nice tip ! Good to know and big thanks for your own reply.
