Hello,
I installed APP2SD (Dutch free version) on my SGS3.
When i open the app it shows that the internal and external storage is the same...there is no SD card visible.
Is this normal ?
If not...what can i do ?
I flashed the phone with `Android Revolution HD 2.2.0` rom.

Hi everyone, I just want to know if does exist an SD version of CM10 that works the same as the Team-B CM7 SD version? I mean, that runs Android from the SD card and keep it that way (no installing)
Thanks.

Indeed there is. Here's the link:

Just follow the instructions and you're good to go.
Can any one please confirm if we can use 32 or 64 gb card in NTFS format to enable large video files ??
I believe it runs eXFAT.. not sure though.. I had a 64gb Sandisk Ultra (Preformatted to eXFAT) and it worked with a Galaxy note 2 running Jellybean.. So I presume Jellybean Devices would support eXFAT at some point..

While exfat may work my experience is that fat32 is more reliable.
AOSP and CM roms generally require the sd card to be in fat32 format as well, and so do apps like foldermount if you intend using something like that.
I used to be hung up on large file support myself but my honest opinion now is that exfat is not worth the hassle. Your video files should compress to <4gig and still give excellent quality.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to do to move my apps and the accompanying data to the SD card? I'm rooted so I'd be able to use an apps2sd script. I tried running the apps2sd binary like on my previous Sammy devices and it just won't work at all. So I'm at a loss here.

Hey guys,
I'm searching for a solution to swap external sd to internal. I had to break the internal storage to make a I9003 working again.
Now, it boots the ROM from the external (but that's an other story).
Camera needs storage0 (internal storage) to work properly for DCIM. But I have only storage1 (inserted microsd).
In 2.3.6 swap sd was possible by editing vold.fstab. In Kitkat the opportunity has been denied.
I search for a way to make storage1 to storage0 in CM11. Does anyone have an idea? Do you know whether CyanogenMod is working on it?
Thanks ^^
Still no idea?

Since android 4.3 there no longer exist "vold.fstab"
U need to modify build.prop
go to /system/build.prop (via root explorer for instance)
and change
persist.sys.vold.switchexternal=0
to
persist.sys.vold.switchexternal=1
save it and reboot the device it may help

It didn't work on my i9001.
I thought about that option but I read before that this isn't possible anymore since kitkat

My i9001 has still a build from 21.03. synced. It's unofficial. The steps are big, not like nightlies, and that's great ^^
The i9003 of the friend is in his apartment. The build for the i9003 has some bugs, so I'll wait.
But the others here can share their results with the newest builds
The i9003 has cm working on (the only available one for this device) and I have PA 4.3.
So cm-related infos are welcomed

Hi @rboy28, I'm facing pretty much the same issue as you on a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 with damaged internal SD card.
I'm managed to install and run CyanogenMod 11 after physically taking the faulty chip out of the device, but I now need to make it use the external SD card as the internal one.
Have you had any luck ?

man why they have to keep changing stuff. i spent days on this issue.
this is why android is having difficulty capturing the market from iphones.
2017, and i also getting this same problem with GT-P1000..
remove damaged internal storage, installed KK resurrection remix ROM on external storage..
-camera error "no external storage"
-browser error "can't download, no external storage"
-UMS no response (it worked on gingerbread before)
tinkerin' for 6 days, slept only at 7AM..
my eyes hurt (almost cryin' desperately too) from searching n tryin' n so on..
if only there's an angel with master linux degree, kindly enough to ease our 'fellow-pity-ship' misery..
You're not the only one…
Hi,
I tried for month to resurrect a tablet having the same problem.
My latest findings pointed to modifying the equivalent of the /etc/fstab file in the boot partition/image, but no tool I could find was able to open/modify the ROM image…
I eventually gave up and returned the tablet to its owner.
