Google search for "Haier W910 root" and look for viphaier.com/bbs/forum.php posts. It seems to be an official forum for Haier and there are new ROMs and root tutorials. Google translate is needed 'cause the whole forum is in chinese . I rooted my phone but I still didn't find a way to replace chinese apks (Contacts, Phone, Messaging, etc). Still looking...

I received my Haier W910 a few days ago.
I actually use an iPhone but it is good to have a reserve phone to go to wild outdoor activities on weekend.
It is incredibly cheap for what it delivers.
Is the battery fixed or it can be changed?

I have Haier W910 with stock rom and i have problem, when i insert sim card from my first network provider
than haier does not recognize this sim card from that network, no signal no nothing - just asks for the pin number, than i remove
this sim card and put another one but from difirent network provider and then it is working normal, to be sure i again put sim card
from my first network provider but again it is not working at all. than i put this not working sim card in difirent mobile phone and it is working....
plesae help me , why this sim card is not working in haier w910 but from difirent network provider is working ? what could be ?

I have a Haier W910 android phone and i somehow corrupted its stock rom and i haven't got any cwm installed so how can i fix it ?
also i have another phone from the same brand. can i Backup that phone to an external sd card and then restore my phone using that backup ?
also if i installed cwm to my other phone what would happen would it be corrupted too ?

Are you sure that it's not simply that the SIM PIN lock security feature is enabled on the first SIM?
To get rid of it you need to enter the PIN (PIN1) that came with your card and when you get in go to the settings and disable SIM PIN locking.
If you don't know the PIN then you can enter it a few times incorrectly and then you will be prompted for the PUK which will get you in.
You should have received both the PIN[1] and PUK with your SIM. If you don't have the PUK then your operator should be able to help.
However if SIM PIN lock security is enabled I would expect you to be prompted for the SIM PIN by ANY phone in which it is inserted...

Something terrible happened with my Haier W910 device: I switched it off and on again, but it didn't boot in but gave this message:

Is there a way to repartition the internal space to make a bigger apps partition?
You need to install Shuame on your pc ?
And then install your mobile drivers !
Open shuame and ... well on the top select the fourth menu and be carefull it says fastboot on a button there and vuala watch your phone entering fastboot mode !
I had this problem far from now but i didn't know how to enter fastboot mode but i fixed it by shuame !

You should be able to reinstall the factory ROM via fastboot (google for "4.0.4 ROM 32958 SWEP_GDETB1A_v02.022.01.g_03.zip").

I've unfortunately done the same thing,now i have no network,it asks me for a pin code but when it unlocks says sim card error.I've tried with different sim cards,still the same,please can anyone help?I have done this with the same phone as you,alcatel ot990,any progress?

If you have a phonw wich is code frozen and no network after unlocking with code you should upload this ROM r1_de-branded_ot990-update-signed.zip and after that udating the phone with the update software wich you can download from Alcatel home page. After that your phone should work as before...

I solved my problem,had to pay extra money,and now my unlocked phone is working just fine
Ok, same problem, jodanks way does not work but looks prommising to put back phone in factory state for possibly warranty issues.

I have the same phone, none of sim card slots is working, I tried on both sim slots, the phone couldn't network signal. I am with T-Mobile USA. It's brand new and just received the phone this week. Everything else seems working fine except no signal, sim card can't be detected. Please help. Thanks.

When I first got the phone both slots worked. I've rooted the phone and installed some things and may have broke something. SIM2 works but the other slot is broken. I'm on tmobile too.

i did the same thing .. i bought mine on everbuying... neither sim card slots work.. i know its not the sim card, cuz it works on my other cells. i have noticed that the video playback is crappy. in other words, it doesnt wanna work. to be honest, im starting to think this cell is nothing but junk...

i have same problem
1) I noticed one of my sim slots (sim 1) was not detecting the sim card. Error message was something like "no sim card" which is different than "no service". In examining the sim slot, one of the gold pins in the slot was not making contact with the sim card. I took a small safety pin and bent the pin slightly up.
** NOTE ** be careful bending this pin up. If you use too much force, you can snap the pin off and then you would be totally screwed.
I then reinserted the sim card and the phone detected it since the pins were now making contact with the sim card.
2) Another thing I noticed is sometimes I get "no service" even though other times I would get 4 bars of signal strength at the same location. I went to settings and disabled the sim card. Waited about 10 seconds and then re-enabled my sim card. It then seemed to reconnect with the phone network.
My carrier is TMobile.

Hello, after flashing 4.1.2 official ROM i couldn't see any contancts from my SIM CARD ( I9100XXLSJ_I9100OXXLS1_OXX ).
Then with the Spain one ( I9100XWLSD_I9100FOPLS4_FOP ) i had the same issue.
I only see my own number and if i go to settings to load from SIM it says "loading sim contacts" but nothing happens.
I came from the 2.3 version.
Not rooted.
Have any contacts saved in the SIM card?

I will try and put the contacts into an s1 then transfer them on an sd card then put sd card into s2 and try and import them.
If this doesn't work, what backup plans should i have?

I poked around the forum and i think my SIM is also unlocked, cause now it tells me to unlock SIM.
I can only make emergency calls.
I have found GalaxySimUnlocker on the forum, but the problem is mine is not rooted. What do i do? I am almost certain this is the problem, my SIM being locked!

I had the same problem (the phone asking for unlock code) when I flashed 4.1.2 to one of my friends S2 and what I did was:
1: Root the phone
2. Watched this video and did the same
3. Flashed back the official Firmware through Odin again.
I ended up with the S2 unlocked, and unrooted.

I tried GalaxySimUnlocker.apk and it unlocked everything but the Network ...
Ok, that helped, i didn't actually use the unlocker, i didn't press that small buttom, thought its an error, silly me.

The Sollution is very Very Simple ...... The Problem is that the rom is just reading the phone contacts and you just have to do is delete a file ! ..... Here ill show u how! Your phone must be rooted .... go download an app called Root Explorer ... then open the app Goto this directory data/data/com.android.contacts/shared_prefences then delete com.android.contacts_prefences.xml ........ Done ... but now ... goto your contacts ... sumtimes u cant see anything just search a then go back it will appear .... the import all theese contacts from sim to phone .... Done!
hello good night. i am writing from Portugal and the problem is this. i made an OTA update do the S222 row Kitkat and all went well. the phone boots normally and works well without the SIM cards. after i put the SIM cards the problem begun. the phone does not recognize the SIM cards and it pops up continually a message on the screen "com.android as stoped" whitch make virtually impossible to work with the phone.
i read that it might be a problem with the modem, could you tell me the best way to solve this situation ? can i flash only the modem with the recovery , and for portugal what would be the proper modem to flash ? 2G network work with 900/1800 and 3G with 2100

First you must root your phone and install custom recovery TWRP.

hello, maybe could you help me. i returned to the previous version that i had, installed, which is version X-viberom by xakep. the baseband version for that rom is the V52, which i presume is for chinese version. i think that the x-Viberom as chinese version for base.
with that baseband i never had any problem with the SIM cards, the two work without any problem .
the question that i would like you to help me is the following: with that baseband V52 i have to install a chinese rom or is it possible to install that modem over a ROW version ?

Hello Guys, so as described in the title it all started when i wanted to unlock bootloader unofficially, im not a newbie but didn't expect Xiaomi to act like samsung in terms of making it a big headache to unlock the device...
anyway the unofficial method consist of flashing MIUI 7.1.8.0 while i was on 8.0.x.x if im not mistaken
I had my sim in my main phone in the process so im not really sure when did i basically lose the IMEI, baseband, MAC address all these things but i discovered that i lost them and spent like 2 weeks searching and tryingdifferent tutorials (i have like 50 bookmarks and maybe downloaded like 30GB worth of data!!)
Final/Current situation:
IMEI1 and IMEI2 recovered --> can log in to Mi account
MAC address recovered --> can connect to wifi
Service NOT recovered, phone detect the sim, it shows the sim number in settings, even the access points are read from the sim and shown in the Access Point area but whatever i do the sim card shows No service
last thing i did is i flashed MIUI9 beta official, locked bootloader, stock recovery...
I hope this thread get some attention for me and many others as well...ready to answer any extra clarifications

I dont have any problem with IMEI anymore, i an even log in to MI account which i wasnt able to do when i lost my IMEI due to "device ID verification failure"

Hello, sorry for disappearing its just that i spent so much time trying to fix it and then i realize that the phone is actually kate not kenzo....honestly i dont know where to go from here, i dont even know what rom there is on my phone right now...all i know is that its not booting as usual and doesnt have custom recovery. i will try to at least make it boot today so hopefully ill get some support from you guys. ill try to install twrp recovery and flash LineageOS 14.1
