Hi i just got my Galaxy S2
its kernel version is:
2.6.35.7-I9100ZSKF4-CL280225 root at avad-server #22 ZSKF4
i want to root it but should i update the stock rom to the latest version before rooting (using kies) or should i just root it and flash the KE7 Rom?
Either but best to update to latest stock rom and LATEST CWM + ROOT which is either KF2 or KF4 ..
As your Kernel is KF4 why downgrade to KE7 .

i downloaded PhilZ-cwm6 - Safe Stock Based Kernel and tried to root my Galaxy Note N7000 running stock ICS 4.0.4 and when i tried to root
it showed E: Signature Verification Failed.
Please Help With This a Problem. I am noob and need guidance.

i download orignal ics 4.0.3 on orignal kernal LPH
question is that i want to use siyah kernal on ICS 4.0.3 rom
but when i upload it the ics rom delete my siyah kernal and replace orignal one without root. so if i renale that *.*tar.mdh file to zip and replace orignal zimage with siyah zimage kernal is it works or not? thank you

Yes. You can flash a 2.3.5/6 stock rom over the top of 4.0.4.

1) connect to 'KIES' and see if any updates r available to ur phone , if there then update it.
2) u can manually do so by dwnld'ng the official firmware pertained to ur region by visiting www.sammobile.com
3) dwnld the firmware from that site, and flash the same thro 'ODIN' from ur PC
I'm trying to update my phone to android 4.0.4 using kies but i can't because i have a custom ROM installed on my phone, so im trying to find a stock ROM for my phone to update it to 4.0.4 can anybody tell me some firmware i can use to update my phone to 4.0.4
