I have flashed "XXKPH" with the help of "ODIN"...... Should I downgrade to 2.2.1 & then Upgrade..... or I can directly flash this ROM with "ODIN" one Pack...... Any harm?

You can just flash this in ODIN, no need to downgrade
Why are there multiple Threads discussing the same thing. And I also don't think the development was the correct section to start it in the first place.
There is already a post going on about this firmware in the General Section
Pros and Cons of Latest Indian firmware DDKQ5
Its better to move the discussion there and stop cluttering the Development section.
I guess it better to close this thread.Moderators please do the needful..

Just flash any ics rom in odin
I advise 4.0.3 LPG. Current 4.0.4 ROMs are still immature and new releases for wide Europe will come soon

Either root your device with CF root and flash custom roms, or go to www.sammobile.com and download a stock firmware and flash through odin if you want stock ICS

DOES the 4.0.4 have any issues ? or any bugs ?
If your already on ics.then use the link in second post(phil)
if u are on gingerbread and want to upgrade then u need to upgrade bootloader and to be sure the rom contains bootloader,go to samfirmware.com,register and follow instructions
No not really. No annoying issues

since ur on siyah kernel ur safe with the 'brick bug' issue ma8
u can easily change to 4.0.3(Zeta Rom) without any issue
fallow the install instruction carefully for a successfull flash

wipe data,cache,delvik and flash it?right?
can you suggest me any rom?which is best in battery and looks.
3-wipe combo is /system, /data, /cache. Dalvik cache is stored in data partition.
After that you can flash your ROM.

yes, thats the usual procedure to install any custom rom for sure
Regarding best rom,Sorry ma8 , asking which rom/kernel is best and as well as suggesting the same is against XDA rules for which we may get an Infraction from the Mod's
so please go thro a cpl of rom threads and see the changelogs and decide the one that suits ur needs most

Example, if the Rom that i want to flash say " [ROM][4.1.2] [XXELLA][Sotmax Jelly Bean Ultimate Stock V14] GT-i9300 " do i need to change my firmware to XXELLA before flashing that rom? or at least upgrade my firmware 4.1.1 to 4.1.2. please HELP me i`m confused and btw NEWBIE and still learning to this phone.

First things first, root your phone, install custom recovery and BACKUP!
Only then should you dabble with other things.
No, you don't need to install anything before installing the 4.1.2 ROMs, but a wipe is recommended.
Happy flashing!

You can download the stock firmware and extract the build.prop and use that. If you don't already have a copy of your stock firmware then it would be a good idea to have a copy of it anyway.

You don't understand, it would be smarter to go ahead and download the stock firmware and keep a copy of it so you will have it in the future if you ever need to restore the device. Then just extract a copy of build.prop from the firmware and use that.
If you don't have a copy of the stock firmware and just want to be lazy about it and ask for a copy of build.prop from someone else then I suggest you get the stock firmware and do it for yourself because there is no guarantee how much longer the stock firmware will be available to the public, if you have problems later and the firmware isn't available then what would you do? You wouldn't be able to fix your device because there is no guarantee that you'll find someone in this community to get a copy from. Be smart, just download the firmware.

If you're using a custom ROM then the stock buid.prop won't work for you, you need the build.prop from the ROM you're using.
Plus, if your device ever messes up and won't boot system and won't boot to recovery then you'll need the stock firmware to flash in Odin because you won't be able to reinstall your custom ROM. Trust me, if you ever have problems you'll wish you had listened to me.
Why are you resisting? Is it gonna kill you to download the firmware abd extract the build.prop? If you had done that when I first replied to you then you'd already have your device fixed by now, but no, you want to be he stubborn and drag it out longer.

That's what I was wondering, lol. I can't think of any reason they'd need it if they don't have the device. From what I've seen so far, they don't know how things work with android, especially when they are asking for build.prop for a device they don't have and aren't even familiar with the stock firmwares it has.
