I've had my G-Tablet for over six months and its awesome. The specs are very high for a older tablet so JB Smooth Bean works great. The problem I've had since the first ROM is the battery status. It never charges to past 96%.
I've wiped everything on the tablet! Cleared the battery status in the rom, discharging the batter to 0% and then wiping the battery status in the ROM before charging!
Battery life is still 10hr so the batter holds a charge. I'm wondering if the battery is bad or is it a system issue.
It's a known issue. I haven't been able to fix it myself but then again it doesn't bother me too much. There might be a solution on the forum somewhere...

My battery has horrible life. I'm rooted running evil fascination and have done all the things that typically help with battery life such as disabling gps and wifi, and lowering brightness. In fact my brightness is currently as low as it gets and my battery use shows my display as 99% of my current usage. Even though I just took my phone off the charger 15 minutes ago and it's already at 85%. I know my screen can't possibly have taken that much battery so fast. It also takes about 4 hours to charge from zero to 100 because it's draining so fast. Can anyone give me some advice? I downloaded an app that shows my current mah or whatever but I don't know what that means. I notice when it's at 270mah my battery drains fast which is most of the time but a few times it has been at 2 mah and it doesn't drain fast then.
sounds like a rogue app keeping your phone/screen running when off.. I had the same problem a while ago, 96% screen usage and taking 6 hours to charge then draining to zero in an hour and a half.. unfortunately the only thing that fixed it for me was a complete data/cache wipe and reflash of the rom, I think I was on superclean 2.9.2 at the time.. could be the battery being wonky also, you might wanna look into the battery calibration app on the market or wiping batt stats in CWR

So I was one of those who was finding my battery life to not be sufficient on the Photon and bought the Seidio extended battery. First thought is that it does make the phone heavier, but I can deal with that. Not a deal breaker.
My issue is that the Photon doesn't recognize the fact that I now have the extended battery. I've spent the last two days using Battery calibration software (charging overnight to 100%) and then trying to discharge completely and recharge. The problem is that the phone continually is showing 1% for almost 3-4 hours if not longer. I can't get it to recognize that there is more juice in there.
While it's great that it seems to be working well (first real work day with it today), having the battery drain like mad (or seemingly) and then sitting at 1% for half or more of the day and not knowing when it will die is a problem.
I wonder if this is why the stock seemed to drain so quickly - maybe it's a programming bug? Firmware bug? I dunno. In any event, any suggestions on how to make the phone actually see that there's more juice would be great.
As an FYI I've used "Battery Calibrator" - both of them and Battery Drainer and Fast Discharge to get the phone down. I am rooted, but everything is stock other then the root itself.
Thanks!
Rumor has it, that the latest software update decreases battery life. I have the latest update, (I understand that many have this issue updating, if you do, look it up in the forums, you will need to SBF the first version of software to your phone...), and my battery life could be a lot better, like it used to be.

Well the issue now with the new battery isn't so much battery life. With the extended battery the life is stellar. This issue is that yesterday at about 3 in the afternoon the phone showed 1 percent battery life. Yet it didn't ever die. When i plugged it in last night before going to bed, at 1200, I still had 1 percent. So the issue is that the phone isn't properly recognizing the battery life itself.
Help?

I understand that you have used the battery calibration application, try installing CWM, ClockworkMod, after you root the phone. Drain the battery, charge to 100% boot up into CWM, and go to advanced, and clear battery stats...
If that doesn't work, then I could be the battery, or the phone itself. See if any other members have any insight.
Can't change bootloader on photon without breaking 4g as far as I know. Will crosspost in main photon forum. Thanks!

Hi There:
Not sure if anyone is exprience this problem.
My battery completly drains a second after it says is at 40%.
I've installed several ROMS (Cianogenmod 10, toldo's, official) to see if it was a ROM problem. No luck. I'm current in toldos's v7
Installed several Kernels, No luck. Actually i'm with A1 kernel
Tried several battery calibration aplicacions apps. No luck.
Problem presists.
It`s not that the battery drains fast, is that everything goes oK till battery reaches a point below 40% and the next second it says it only has 2% or 1% and can stay there for some time (even two hours sometimes.
Anyone has any idea what could be happening, because i don't think is a battery problem.
Thanks evey one
fault battery
probably the battery is gonna die
Hey all,
Was wondering if anyone else is getting this issue with excessive battery drain after installing KatKiss.
Before install of KatKiss Rom Nougat 7.1, my TF 201 had the stock rom 4.1 and I could leave it in standby mode for days and still have lots of power left when I decide to use it.
Now after the install of KatKiss, the battery drain is ridiculous. After a full charge this morning I decided to leave the tablet in standby and have nothing running in the background, no apps or anything. From 8am this morning till about 9pm when I checked it, it went from 100% to 56%. I didn't even touch it.
Is there something with the settings maybe I could change to help with the battery drainage issue or is it the rom itself. If it is the rom, can anyone suggest another/better one.
Thanks
I also have a battery issue with my TF201. Also have Katkiss installed, but I can't say that the software is at fault, since I did see a slight improvement on battery life while using. I
What I did notice though, is when it is on standby, it does drain faster than it usually did. Probably has to do with battery optimisation in the code?
hi there,
as the title says,
what i wanted to do is to drain my battery to complete zero.
my phone will die suddenly when the battery indicator shows 40%-50%.
so i think a way to fix this is to drain battery completely and charge it back up again from 0%(or at least 1%).
the battery problem happened when i moved to custom rom.
cant do the strong vibration, high acc gps, max brightness since when the battery reaches ~50%, my phone will shut down immediately.
so, is there a way to drain battery?
thanks
How to fix Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (kenzo/kate) battery problems on Custom ROMs
Hi @dewasa98, I had these battery problems too when I switched to a custom ROM (LineageOS) some year ago. my phone was already about two years old though. the phone would shutdown at 25% or sometimes 50% of battery. it also had a weird behavior while charging, it would start charging at 25% while it has just shutdown...
I replaced my battery, and all these problems were gone! The phone feels as if it were new
My advice for you is to get a new battery and replace it yourself. it's very easy and straightforward on RM N3. Watch a video before you do it, and everything will be fine. This will extend the life of you phone two more years at least :good:
The battery reference for Redmi Note 3 is: BM46, in case you want to get a new one.
Hey OP, did you ever find a TWRP script to drain battery? That's what I'm currently looking for.
