I've been looking around but can't seem to find the answer to this. I have rooted my NT with a 4GB SDCard. I would like to switch to a larger card. Can I turn off my NT, remove the 4GB card. copy everything from the card to a 16 or 32 GB card, and then insert the new card and restart the NT?
If that won't work, how can I do this?
Thanks,
Bob
Turn off NT, remove the 4GB card. copy everything from the card to a 16 or 32 GB card. Must be working.
If your using this sdcard to boot from, you are probably going to have to make that partition bootable as well. Usually the windows partition abilities are pretty limited so you'll have to use one of those free partition tools out there.
I'm not booting from the SDCard - so does that mean i can change the card by simply copying all the files to the new card?
Bob
Yeah just copy everything from the 4gb card to the 32gb card and everything will work just fine
Hi, I have u20i with nAa kernel and MiniCM7-2.1.9 rom. When I flash via CWM MiniCM7-2.1.9 rom I already have 2gb sd card in phone. Right now I get 8gb and wanna swap them. What I need to do to do that?
P.S. 1.already try just copy all files from 2gb card to 8gb, after CM logo phone freeze.
2. With CMW try to format and partitionize 8gb sdcard like 512mb ext3 and 16mb swap, it show that partitionize in progress but nothing happens, pull out battery try again, still nothing.
3.With MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition set manually 7gb fat32, 500mb ext3 and 10mb swap, also phone freeze after CM logo.
4. Turn on phone with 2gb card, take it out, and put in formated fat32 8gb card, phone recognize card and I can do anything, but when try to reboot it freeze again after logo.
Thank you for your help.
I got a new 8gb sd card. I moved from 2gb to 8gb card.. Had no issues.. what I did is just copied all the files from the previous one to the new one n reboot the phone.. N it worked.

I have a Stock 16GB Nook Tablet running 1.4.0
My nook fails to boot from SD depending on the size of the first partition on the SD card. I have tried the following SD cards:
16GB microSDHC class 2 (two of them)
32GB microSDHC class 4
For example: I formatted the 16GB card using the nook tablet, and transfered the acclaim_update.zip to the root of the sd card. The nook would turn on but wouldn't load the update. However, I put a single partition on the 16GB card of just 300MB and it loaded the update and applied it.
It seems that when I have a small partition I can boot from the SD card to root the device but I want to be able to use all the space on the card. Perhaps I need to try a class 6 SD card?
Thanks for your time!

Hey, I'm running Android 7.1 in cm 14 with agni kernel.
The phone runs great but the storage shown is wrong.
The SD card is SanDisk 32gb class 10 and I can move things to it and use it, but the read value is wrong.
The SD card is formatted as internal BTW.
You shouldnt format it as internal
Why is that?
SGP712, Unlocked Bootloader, NO ROOT, 32.2.A.0.253
I've tried 2 different Sandisk SD Cards with the same boot loop issue.
Sounds are Format Error.
Over 32 Gig SD Card take Acronis Disk Director and Format the Card to FAT32 Primäry. Not Logical.
Some Windows Formatter Tools not Work. I have siminlar Trouble with Cards over 32 Gig on Some Android Devices.
SD Cards over 32 Gig Format is ExFat. Make Sure Device Support ExFat. Or Format FAT32 Primäry.
