Well guys I have a problem. I just got my Rezound this evening, and made a mistake. Just came from a Droid Razr, and am noticing everything with the htc's are way different.
I unlocked my bootloader and installed Amon Ra through the All-in-One tool. The phone was on the newest firmware when I did this. I flashed the new Ecliptic 4.0 ROM, and completely spaced making a backup. Now, when i go to boot the phone, it goes past the splash screen and gets to the boot animation, and hangs there and never boots. I have tried wiping data, cache, and dalvik cache. Help! Not sure how to get it going again!
I can't get S-OFF either, because you have to be booted to start the S-OFF process right?
Did you boot into bootloader after flashing Rom in recovery. If your s-on. It's a 2 part flash. You have to flash your boot.img in bootloader.

Where is the boot.img that I need to flash in the bootloader?
EDIT: Ah, the rom puts it on the SD card for you. Thank you so much.

Try flashing a sense 3.6 global Rom and use zhp pilot' s kernel zip. I'm having same problem with all sense 4.0 and 4.1 roms. I'm currently on chingy' s deus with that kernel and phone is fine. Btw I'm s-on also.

I have cwm and I wiped everything then my phone could not start up
Will it boot to bootloader? Can yo get to recovery? Did you use Scott's clean wipe tool or did you just factory data reset? What rom were you on and what we're you trying to accomplish when wiping? Why are you using cwm and not amon ra? You really need to be specific or no one can help you.

I did factory wipe data and dalvik. But my device jus keeps freezing at the htc logo and won't boot up. Do I need to put a rom on the phone or what
I had the stock rom the oly thing I did to that phone was unlock bootloader then flashed Amon ra then downloaded rom manager and installed cwm then these problems happened after I wiped everything
Flash amon ra recovery again and install a Rom of your choice and make sure you flash the matching kernal. Then you should be all set.

HBoot 1.5 S-ON
Unlocked
4Ext recovery
HTC Evo 3D Sprint CDMA
Well, I had flashed Scott's latest CleanRom not expecting it to be ICS. So I booted into 4EXT, wiped data, dalvic and cache.
I then flashed the rom, then re-wiped dalvic and cache. Re-booted, everything was fine. Played around with it for a bit, didn't like it compared to my old rom(viperROM Redline v2.5 RC2)
I went back into bootloader, then did the same process as I did with flashing the CleanRom. I now get boot-loops after re-booting from flashing any rom I have tried so far. (Too many to try to list) Been trying to get it working all day.
The boot-loop is the white HTC Spash screen, then the phone turns off, then restarts itself.
Does anybody know how I can get back to using my phone again?

Need help - similar problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2027561
i attempted to flash and use my htc rezound on gsm.it basically won't boot stays on the htc logo.
here's what i did.
htc dev unlocked, flashed aromra recovery, rooted the rezound.
backed up htc rezound original nandroid.
flashed custom rom aroma v1.1 from rezound maister.
everything went through without a hitch.
reboot and got stuck on the htc logo.
tried flashing the kernel with the one in the zip boot.img. and same thing, won't boot. unfortunately....
tried restoring the nandroid it keeps saying opps there is a problem.
i can boot in to recovery just fine.
i need your help people what can i do???
i look forward to your responses!!
are you S-off? and what Version is your Hboot? were you or are you on Gingerbread or ICS?
Your phone is not bricked in anyway shape or form. From what you posted I am assuming you are s-on. When it is stuck on HTC screen there is no boot.IMG. did you try to flash boot IMG in recovery? If so, you have to flash it in fastboot with command prompt in windows. Your backups will not work either because when you are s-on, the boot image is not backed up with the rom.
Some devs do not have s-on options in aroma.

No problem. Do some reading on the s-off process. It's really not that bad. It will save you the hassle of needing a pc to flash boot imgs and not being able to restore backups

Running ICS rooted S on
flashed "Official jb ruu 3.15.651.16 Odex. zip" using TWRP it said it was successful. Went back to reboot system. The phone got to the htc quietly brilliant screen, then went black. I got a few white bars to pop up on the top of the black screen then nothing.
I then went in and flashed "boot img flasher v1.2 jb.zip" it failed until I cleared the D-cache, then it passed. Back to the reboot screen. reboot system and it did the same thing.
I then recovered ICS and rebooted and the phone is back to the old system
What am I missing?
Would it be easier to take the OTA version and then root to S off?
I've never bothered with RUU's but if I'm not mistaken you have to re-lock your bootloader and run the RUU through the bootloader, not recovery.
With some of the threads popping up about people having issues with the new JB RUU, you might be better off finding a rooted JB ROM, like MeanBean, and run that, instead. You'd be better off getting S-off, then upgrading.

If you're s-on, retry flashing...(wipe everything and start over)..you're gonna have to flash jb Roms twice (as long as they are the zip format ones to my knowledge)...s-on is causing the kernel to take 2 flashes to install....first flash will install the kernel and then after that is successful, reflash without wiping anything and the Rom should boot....its a known procedure/hurdle for s-on users...hope that explains the bootloop. Let me know if it works...

This is true with MeanBean due to how the kernel installs. You have to basically flash the ROM twice when you're S-on. Some ROM's have a S-on kernel installer, while others don't.
I still say get S-off, upgrade your firmware and install a rooted JB ROM.

Thank you both, I'll give that a try and see what happens. I wished I could have found that info earlier Been reading and messing with this phone for Hours.
Umm boot img flasher is a windows program that you run on a windows pc. You have to extract all the files out of the zip. NOT flash it on your phone. What hboot do you currently have?
Nope still not there. I tired flashing the rom 5 times and although I got to the second HTC quietly Brilliant screen, it still just goes black. I think I'll look into the dirty racun or lazy panda since I'm still at 1.12 h boot.

Did you do a clean install wiping cache/del cache/system/ factory reset then flash the rom?
What version of twrp are you using? v2.3.3.0 is the latest version
Btw RUU's are .exe files not .zip files AFAIK
Since you're on Hboot 1.12, flashing the kernel separately isn't an issue like it is with the newer Hboots. That being said, it sounds like your issue lies elsewhere. Make sure you've got a good download (verify MD5 checksum) and make sure you wipe properly. For me, I'd wipe cache and Dalvik, factory reset and wipe system (this will wipe your current ROM from your phone), then flash the new ROM. Once you've flashed the new ROM, don't wipe anything in recovery, just go ahead and reboot. I'd definitely look at going S-off, as already stated.
I cant seem to get Viper rom to work. I used superwipe and there was an error. Cleared system and data and cache. Flashed rom, then fastbooted boot.img. Rom is stuck in htc screen and recovery flashes on for a quick moment then goes dark and phone reboots. Ideas please. Thanks
Which recovery did you use? If you used TWRP you should use 2.3.3.0 for the ROMs with aroma installers. Did you try simply reflashing recovery?

I think he did ruu and everything went back to normal, since he says he restored to original and theres no way he could do that from recovery, I have a thread named the brick thread, try the solutions in there, on my case ruu wasn't working either and recovery was looping too , I had to use ruu mode, however I don't know what Dan did and I may be wrong, but this could work

Before running the ruu, try just re-flashing recovery from fastboot. Instructions can be found in either the TWRP or ClockworkMod thread.
Also, pay attention to somerandomname1's advice above.
Working again.
Looks like that Re-RUUing Stock, Re S-OFF DirtyRacun (I'm used to this method), then flashing TWRP 2.3.3.0 Got ViperLTE Installed Properly. Thanks.
