Removing bloatware without root

Is there a way to remove all the at&t bloatware without rooting? I was wondering because my note is on the way and i wanna keep it stock.thx in advance
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Short answer: Ney.
Long answer: Neyy! You need root access to access the system files, and that's where the system files (well duuh!) are.
Root = Administrator
No root, no fun
Ok thx....that sucks though

Well dude, blame AT&T it's them who add all that junk and they always do it, so you should've gotten an international Note. BTW this isn't the AT&T Note forum either.
Sorry...i didnt realize this wasnt for the at&t note...i cant find that forum!

Moved To Note I717 General
Please post all related questions in said forum. I will leave a redirect to help you. Or just type "note" into the "find your device" in the header of this page, two versions will show up
well at least on my note, in task manager shows a bunch of the bloatware as downloaded apps that you can uninstall right from it, without having to go into the system.

Is there a simple method to root galaxy S3?
what does no tripping flash counter mean? why are images required? will that reset phone to stock again?

Pretty much any method is fairly streamline now. There's a root toolkit that does all the work for you, all you have to do is enter in a number that relates to the command when you run it. Be certain you are using the proper root method for your carrier and follow all instructions carefully.
Tripping the flash counter happens when you flash your recovery via odin. It triggers the built in counter in download mode to show that you have "tampered" with the device, and therefor can be refused warranty work. To avoid this, use either ADB through command line, or terminal emulator.
I usually don't post this..... but.....

I agree that there is a lot of posts all over the place but to all fairness, there is posts in this same section http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722344 that shows you exactly what to do to root.
I agree that you NEED TO READ. If you aren't willing to do the research you're going to have an expensive brick instead of an amazing phone running Jelly Bean roms or whatever you choose.
Also, don't just rely on one thread. Read multiple so you see opinions and suggestions.

Don't think it matters if you trip the flash counter any more there's an app to get rid of it Triangle Away. Also be careful many people have Lost there Imei# and now have a very expensive mp3 player. Might be a good idea to wait until they figure out how to back up imei first.

I literally got my phone, read here for 30 min and had a rooted phone in 45 after the phone arrived. Bottom line is u didn't read. Don't give me that shot that there are so many threads. Check the stickies. It's right there man. Sorry to be a ****, but I can't stand lazy people.

I think it's funny how quick everyone is to tell people to read - When there are likely many threads that you've started that a google search could've solved in 5 minutes. He had plenty of other questions that had nothing to do with how to root his device. Yes reading can help solve most of his issues, but when you have the possibility of turning a 600$ phone completely worthless, it doesn't hurt to ask questions.
Really, get over yourselves.
Good call I have spent probably a week reading not only this forum but others as well and find numerous conflicting methods for rooting. There's nothing wrong with asking that's why there's a questions forum to begin with.

It is pretty straight forward. Make sure you have the drivers installed before rooting. In short, follow the instructions to the point. If you are worried about tripping your flash counter, there is a specific root method you follow. If you do not care, then you can use the tool kit. If you look through the posts in the development section, you will easily find it. PM me if you need help.
When I plug my phone into computer it finds my device drivers. Will that work or do I have to download them from the link provided?

There is a huge range of games from racing to shooting. You can also root and install custom ROMs if you are bored of your current one. You should actually go and search about user reviews instead and not posting a thread here. But yeah, S2 is great I have been using it for a year now.

what are your top list app and games?..
You might not like the same things others like. Instead of asking people for help in thinking, why don't you download some games/apps/whatever from the Play Store and try them out yourself? That way you can form your own opinion. (if you are capable of doing so)

One must really visit a psychologist before even thinking of trying to post on this forum just to get the fear away of getting such answers. It's really getting worse.
Anyway, I just go to the play store and then apps and scroll to the farthest right. You will there mostly find the newest apps.

[Q] Note 2 Multi-window help!!

Hi, okay so i have a non-rooted Note 2, and i've seen videos in which people has some apps (such as twitter, kakao talk, facebook, gmail.. etc) in their multi-window tab but i don't have them in my multi-window tab.
and also i want to know something about rooting:
Risks:
Why would i want to do it:
Do i lose my warranty doing it?
Thank you.
So I see you're new here... Prior to signing up for an account, XDA required that you watch a video about being a noob. It was well done, I recommend you watch it. If I remember correctly, one of the main points was that the people contributing to the site that make it what it is (awesome) spend a lot of time researching and sharing what they develop and find. It is in everyone's best interest for you to research your questions prior to wasting everyone's time asking the same questions that have already been answered. In your case, they have been.
But enough chastising and... Welcome!
IMO you should just assume you have to root your phone in the very least to apply a majority of the customizations here. That may not be the case all of the time, but it applies often enough. Xda University might have answers to your questions there, otherwise so some more searching on this site.
There are multiple options to your question about the multi Window. Here is one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028535. Note that you must be rooted.
Always assume that everything voids your warranty. I don't know if it is necessarily true with regards to rooting, but that's because you can remove the root. If you brick your phone, assume the warranty is void.
Final recommendation; stay logged on to XDA and subscribe to the Galaxy note 2 forum. After a day or so of cruising around you will have enough information to make your head explode. You will also appreciate the folks that contribute to the site, specifically by user name as you realize how much work they invest in helping the community.
Good luck!
Alright thank you very much, I'll root my phone ASAP. And sorry for that haha

No worries! There's a lot of support with rooting your phone. Although it's a bit scary at first, once you're done you'll feel a lot more comfortable monkeying around with it. After you root and have either Clockwork Mod Recovery, or TWRP recovery installed (part of the rooting process), back it up immediately before playing with any of the Mods. Part of the process usually involves getting into a boot loop. Doing this will save your blood pressure and lower anxiety levels.
I know I'm a little worried about rooting because I just bought my phone so I don't want anything to happen to it lol but yeah thanks for everything.

You don't have to root for get other apps available for multi view, there's a write up on android central and YouTube video that walks you through altering the apk file to make it work in multi view, I'm just out searching to see if anyone's already done it and posting the apks

Yes i did that but neither kik messenger nor twitter work. So i just rooted my phone, did a backup and installed a ROM called Jelly Beans, in which you can usa ALL apps on the multiview and is also pretty cool. Thanks though.

I cant get my phone to root

I know i have post and you people must think im lazy but i have spent 4 days trying to get this stupid phone to root. When i did my S3 i took me one try to do it. But this phone is something else.
I have tried both of creppy's roots and one of the galaxys2root.com roots also (i know you people dont approve of the site), and some random forth root. So I dont know what else to look for.
The Phone: the turn on animation still say it is a GT-I9100 even though it is running of the right stock ROM (idc about this thought it might mean something). Every time i download creppy's roots after i press the droid it either freaks out or say it cant find gapps even though i still have gapps.
So you can either criticize me or help me I dont care. I just dont have any clue where to go from here. All i can do is to turn to people who know more.
