Short answer: Ney.
Long answer: Neyy! You need root access to access the system files, and that's where the system files (well duuh!) are.
Root = Administrator
No root, no fun

Ok thx....that sucks though

Well dude, blame AT&T it's them who add all that junk and they always do it, so you should've gotten an international Note. BTW this isn't the AT&T Note forum either.

Sorry...i didnt realize this wasnt for the at&t note...i cant find that forum!

Moved To Note I717 General
Please post all related questions in said forum. I will leave a redirect to help you. Or just type "note" into the "find your device" in the header of this page, two versions will show up

well at least on my note, in task manager shows a bunch of the bloatware as downloaded apps that you can uninstall right from it, without having to go into the system.

Thanks can u tell me what the name of the post is or post a link .
Anyone know where nv_data.bin file is stored. I've heard it's not in the efs partition. Is it located somewhere else hidden in unmountable bml?
It should be in the same location as the At&t Skyrocket. The Galaxy S unlocker app checks in the /efs however the snapdragon based models do not store the nv_data.bin there.

What Sub Forum Do I Go To??

I just Got this phone yesterday. Had a Mytouch 4g before and always messed with it.
But this phone has so many Sub-forums that i dont know where i can go or where i shouldn't.
I have a T-mobile GS3. Can i use roms or mods from the other carrier sub forums or even the S III I9300 sub forums?
What is the difference from Original Android Development sub forums and Just Android Development
Thanks in advance. I know this is a noob question. so if mods want to delete or move, please direct me to the correct place if this is the wrong place to ask this.
Stay here, don't go to the international sgs iii forum.
If you want to flash a ROM pick one from the T-Mobile section (i think that's who you said was your provider).
Original development is stuff built from scratch/source. Regular development is stuff based on stock Rom.
Hope this helps

Yea that clears everything up. 1 more question.
Why can't I use the other providers section. I'm guessing the each carrier has something that won't work on the others?

All the carriers models are different if not something major like cdma vs. gsm, something software related to fit that specific carrier. Make sense?

ME7(ota) + ROOT = what now?

So, like many of you I have the me 7 out update and have performed the SD card root method. Now what? I want to use Titanium Backup to start uninstalling the bloatware but I'm not sure which apps I can safely remove without causing issues.
Beyond this, what else can I do with my rooted/ME7 SGS4? What are the best apps for root only?

Personally, I would just freeze. It looks like we're in the long haul for recovery/bootloader. There's a chance that the next hack might not be available until the next update.
Honestly there probably will not be any bootloader unlock for the Verizon S4. Its just been blocked down so tight that its very highly unlikely you're going to get more than root. Maybe recovery but that is a long shot.
And its not about the time involved to find a line of code or some loophole. Its how they have learned from the past. The last few phones only got unlocked because of leaks. Without the leaks they would still be locked to this day. That alone says a lot.

Do a search. It has its own thread all about it. Its in the Dev section.
Since your new I'll link it. But please just do a quick look around first. You'll learn more that way.
