[Q] Re-charging time - HTC One X+

Hi,
I am finding that it takes an extremely long time to re-charge the HTC One X Plus - I don't get a full battery when leaving it charging over night.
How long should it take to charge?
I am using the supplied charger.
Thanks,
Ben

Happened to me first time too, but is much better now...
It takes about 3 h.

Thanks.
I've had it for a couple of weeks. Hopefully it will improve.

Guys why is my battery so bad

Is the drain from using LTE throughout the day? I did that one day at work and it was down to 10% in 6 hours. Same usage on WiFi the next day and the battery was down to 70%

Bad? You're getting 15h, I wish I'd get 15h, I get 14 if I don't use it at all, 12h in average.
I still love my OneX+, best device I've had, it is fast as hell, 64gb finally allowed me to retire my iPod, gorgeous screen, great look and feel, plus sense is quite useful for me, what else can I ask for? Better battery lifr? I guess it is only a tad better than in my previous OneX but I have accepted smartphones have this kind of battery life in general.

No the battery is fine I was just reading all the people who complain about there battery mine does just fine the same as my galaxy s3 did. Only difference I noticed is my s3 dropped 1% an hour and this phone drops 2%

just ensure you charged the phone via wall socket and you will see and increase in battery life.Moderate use takes me two days to drain the battery. Wifi and LTE or 3G drains a lot of battery

Mine got 100 % yesterday at 8pm, over night in flight mode, some mailing and 1 hour of music via bluetooth, now (18 hours later) it is on 90 % :good:
Nothing to complain about!
PS Sure I can drain the battery to zero in a few hours with full power use That's the same on notebooks: with moderate office use you get 6 to 8 hours, with full power it's empty in 1.5 hours...
Oh wow this battery is so bad!

Post yout battery Screenshot!

Hi guys, tomorrow DX arrives to my home, so please, upload your battery screenshot! How long your battery lives?
Don't have screenshot, but with a lot of use, rebooting, flashing roms and backing up, it still survives the whole day, started using my DX from the start of the day with the use I just said, now It's about 65%, so battery life is great

Like MaartenXDA already mentioned even with heavy usage (like screen on for 3,5 hours, see screenshot) you will be able to make it through the day. The batterylife imho is a pro for the DX.

Well lucky me I guess. I turned on my wifi all the time but managed to get the whole day or more.
I never turned off my wifi except if I'm going outside.
Without whatsapp installed, my battery life lasts 2x longer.

Battery are really good. Even with running ics which is power/performance hungry.
Imagine if des x running jelly bean. Probably double the battery life of running ics

on and off wifi usage, viber, 9gag, few calls and still i got 18% on single charge running for 2days and 4hours. after that it went upto 2days 10hrs at 4% at which i put to charge again.
i m not using any apps to get more battery. my theory is if you keep the ram cleaned with the provided task manager in between, you can get some more. as for display brightness it keep in manual mode, cos when you have to keep the sensor running and the screen suddenly gaining brightness on and off it will take some juice outta of your battery. plus not much of a gamer on mobile.
Something went wrong.
Flashing ROMs, testing mods, testing ROMs, wiping, backup-ing, recovering, 15 minutes in fastboot. A lot of use, WiFi always on.

AW: Post yout battery Screenshot!
battery life is ok but not amazing
standby of this phone is pretty amazing
Must say battery of the DX is quite amazing.
According to the pics i have seen there can be much more squeezed out of the battery.
Running a beta of Elegancia (far from ready) with a tweaked kernel and battery improvement inside the rom...
Charged it before sleep and didn't shut it down, I usualy shut it down to save battery when asleep, pretty good stand by, only lasts 5 hours when using.

My legit and the best battery life so far. Usage: downloaded a lot of games total 400+mb ish, whatsapp a lot, gaming for 1 hour, music for 2 hours, 15 mins browsing the web, I just preferred to browse on my pc anyway, and standby deepsleep for 12 hours.
I'm still impressed.
Oh also I froze all the apps that prevents deepsleep such as google+ and google maps.

Been using this since full charge watching directv, plex, vevo, YouTube and battery seems decent. Still no match with my buddy's Note 2. But acceptable.

I had some issues with my battery when I got it. Turns out the stock clock/weather thing on the lock screen couldn't get a lock on my position (just kept saying "current location"), and would run GPS for 10 seconds whenever I unlocked my phone. After fiddling with GPS and the weather settings themselves for awhile to no avail, I said F it and just let it happen. Eventually it got a lock and since then battery life has been fine.
Battery is fine for me

just returned a Note 2 and although its not right up there with it, its still pretty good.
I have been incredibly happy with the battery life. It's solid and wonderful.

Battery has it's ups and downs for me....like today I had less the 6 hours off the charger and got like 2.5 on screen time and battery was down below 30%...haven't been able to get over 13 hours on a charge with moderate usuage....turned off lte which helped some but not a lot

Buy a new phone.
I started this morning around 75% and got to 8% in about 8 hours of heavy usage. I must have sent a few hundred texts today along with a bunch of snapchats, took a bunch of pictures, web browsing, some Navigation use, an hour or so of Skyping, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Battery saver was on, but I had data running all day, Wifi and LTE per the situation. It actually said that Messaging was the main battery hog at 32%.
What I've taken from it is that if you're going to be using the phone heavily, it doesn't hurt to have a charger.
Where do you guys see how much screen time is used? I don't see it with sense
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
Weird, my battery just went from 8% to 32% from being on the charger for a few minutes.
I guess it's not calibrated very accurately yet.

Need help ASAP. 'Battery&Charging issue!'

Hello.
First, I would like to intodruce my self.
My name is James, and I live in The Netherlands.
I have been using my one X+ now for a while and I am pretty statisfied.
However the phone is starting to shows some failures.
During charging, either the phone or charger, gets very hot but doesn't charge.
I have tried couple of chargers, as well as the charger for the Lumia 920.
But that one doesn't seem to work anymore as the charger itself is getting very hot, but doesn't charge the phone. Not even giving the symbol that it is trying to charge.
This was my last resource, so I really need some help!
Please help.
The phone is completely stock.
Running on android 4.1.1.
Kernel 3.1.10***<lot of extra that I don't think is important.
Smallband 3.1204.168A.32
Build number 1.17.401.3***
Thanks!

The battery charges again!
The charge test did the job I guess.
The charger is still getting hot though.
I hope this solved my problem, at least for now.
Thank you!

Where you are using the phone what the root temperature ? is it too hot ? I had a similar condition when I was at a hot place for 2 days , moved back to my city and all ok now as weather here is pleasant
Well thanks again!
~For the record,
I live in The Netherlands and the climate here is not seen as warm, it is summer and there still is a chance of rain and temperatures are below 20℃.
Haha, that was not the problem.
Thanks for thinking with me though!

HTC one died

Last night, my HTC one died. I plugged it in and no chargin indicator light came on. I tried multiple chargers, and still nothing. Called T-mobile today and my replacement should be here tomorrow. Anyone know what would cause something like this to happen?
Did you try multiple outlets?
Same thing happened to me. Turns out the motherboard on these phones is faulty and likes to fry itself.
Glad I bought my nexus 5 today to get rid of HTC for life

I was on a 15 minute video call last night and had to end the call because the phone was actually starting to get uncomfortable to hold. It literally felt like one of those hand warmers. Way too hot.
Had the same thing happen to me last week. Got my replacement a couple days after.
