I would start with wiping the data and cache of the gallary app, see if that gets you going

i wiped the data, but when i click on the 'wipe cache' nothing happen though

Try to view tubnails on a file explorer app. For example, file expert..
Can you see there?

Try this:
Go to "settings/application manager/all/click "gallery" and than click "force stop" and than "clear data".
Do the same thing with "media storage "
Reboot the phone.

oulouloul : i tried file explorer and other kind of gallery in the playstore is ok
coolhof: i tired your method, still cannot same problem persist. when i try to do a screenshot, it says "couldn't save screenshot. Storage may be..." in the notifications area. can't see rest of the screenshot message

It seems your gallery apps data corrupted. Hard reset your s3 via
*2767*3855#*
Or flash another rom if you have root and cwm.

New FB App killed touchwizz

Just to share my expierence. After upgrading to latest FB app last night, tried to start app, but it said something like "on some android phones you must reboot in order to get all the icons". I rebooted and .... puffffff. Suddenly I got a millions of "Touch wizz unexpectedly stoped", but also for all many other apps. I couldt reach software menu for turn off the phone, so i must hold turn off button for about 10 secconds, in order to turn it off. After I left the phone off for whole night, somehow it worked and i could uninstall FB app, but only through market, not through settings-> applications->organize applications. I would like to know if someone else had same problems.
Simple solution don't use tw use apex launcher miles better anyway plus no fc on new fb update

Can only second the benefits of apex launcher...

I downloaded the new facebook app also, but haven't had any FC's since. The only change that I've noticed is that it adds 2 separate apps to the app drawer (camera, messenger). I'm unable to access the front camera on my phone using facebook's app though.

Download AppZorter Lite on the Play Store, this can remove the gaps left and sort the apps by name or install date automatically.

Thanks! I tried this and sorted, but my folders still the same (Applications did sort, though, and that's awesome). I even restarted phone.

Anyone else with ideas? I've not switched launchers for a while!

Looks to me like it's a system or data file that has ended up on your screen as a shortcut.
It shoudn't be there and it's not an app you can launch so when you click on it TW gets confused as it doesn't know what to do with it.
Just remove the shortcut from your screen, it's nothing to worry about and deleting the shortcut wont remove the file
update: Have you installed a Samsung Olympics app from the play store lately? If so it is a data file from that app.
Delete the shortcut like I said and you'll be fine. If you're experiences issues delete the Olympics app and re-install
i believe thats a previous app you just uninstalled.. that icons appears on touchwiz when you uninstall something..

Rogue apps?

In my settings under manage applications, I have 2 apps (wolfram alpha and blood brothers) that seem to have a slight... problem.

}
According to link2sd and launching blood brothers from a homescreen shortcut, those 2 apps are not installed. Yet, when I sideload blood brothers (not officially compatible with my phone but works nevertheless) it gives me the prompt saying this app will replace another app and all data will be saved. Then I hit install and it says "application not installed"
So I decided to open up settings and uninstall them from there, but it FCs every time I tap on either one of them.
Then, I went into /data/app, deleted both apks, went into /data/sdext2/data and deleted the data files for both of them. I also went into /data/data to delete all data. I also think there were apks in /data/sdext2 which I deleted. Anyhow, from screenie you can see both apps have 0.00 bytes of storage taken up, which I assume means I've cleared everything.
But they're still there, I want to use the apps and its annoying me to have those show up in settings.
So I went into TiBackup. They didn't show up. Like stated before, link2sd said nothing.
The Play Store says wolfram alpha is uninstalled, but here's the weird thing. I refunded the app (because it is not worth $3!) And it has this weird residue left over. Couldn't care less about it right now, but gimme blood brothers!
Any ideas as to what could have caused this?

Try closing Play Music, then clear the app's data and cache, reopen the app and it will refresh itself and update the library with your music.
If you are using CM, try disabling Apollo and then reboot.
Hope this helps.
I tried the clearing thing but nothing worked. How do I disable Apollo?

Settings > Apps > scroll across to "all" > tap Apollo > there should be an option to disable > reboot.
If not, download Titanium Backup and select Apollo in the app list there, select the freeze option and reboot.
Don`t know if this helps, but what Google Music version are you using?
If you use an old one, try to install the newest one.
