[Q] Neo N02-M - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I ordered a new phone online from china and in a few days I will receive it: the Neo N02-M.
On a dutch forum I allready saw a Rooting methode. Now I am looking for a custom rom. Since my chinese is poor, hope to find some help overhere.
Does anyone have a Rom or knows where to find one?

can you please take some and upload somewhere?
btw i can't believe it has an 8mp cam, it must be an upscaled 3 or 5mp as usual. what is your opinion?

what about your battery issue? is it still working weird?
how long does it last by normal usage?

I can use it just for a whole day by using it alot ( 3G most of the time powered on!, playing games and listen to music.. browse the web etc)

you (and also each webshop) wrote the NEO has an IPS screen, but in your unboxing video I saw some effects which are tipical of TNFilm panels (eg. inverse colors, purple areas when the phone is tilted)
so what's the truth?

NEO N02-M Bricked!
Hi Guys; have a big problem.
big mistake makes me brick my NEO N02-m.
Someone can help me how to unbrick?
Need Original Firmware to unbrick with Flash tool, someone has it?
Anybody knows where to download this firmware, that i can't find over the internet?

Uhm.... what kind of brick? Did you flash CWM? For the stock roms click here!
BTW is anybody here on XDA cooking for this phone? I'd like my phone to much away a nice little Jellybean!

I flashed a wrong Rom on it, by mistake (i have 4 cells, and all are rooted) phone is dead, but, when i plug USB in, it sounds. i try to re-flash right rom, but SP doesn't wants (errors of Checksum in the Scatter file).
Have any idea?

I just solve the problem.
I use SP Flash tool to install new recovery and after i make a Rom flashable with SP.
Now i have rooted the phone too, with root with recovery v.17

The N02-M has a TFT screen. The "just" (about 1-2 weeks) released N002i is the upgraded model and has IPS. If you bought an N02-M with "IPS", you have been scammed.

Just look at the front of the box.
I have bought 2 pieces and on the label where your IMEI code is displayed the production code should read from the year 2013 onwards. Mine says 2013-01-08.
By the way, If you flash your phone with the current available CWM recovery.img that is floating around the internet, and your phone boots into the CMW menu, then it is not the IPS screen version. It's the TFT version. The IPS version comes with a different script that when you flash a previous CWM recovery.img file, the phone will either freeze at the startup logo (You have to remove the battery) or it'll just bring you to the lock screen.
You would need a new recovery.img file which can be found here

They are the same only screen is different?
