use cm10.1 (android 4.2.2)
its updated everyday as nightlies.
and if u want extreme battery life (like me) use cm9 stable
link i gave u is for cm10.1
experimental as the name suggests is just for experimenting to know if its booting or what all hardware is working..

Extreme battery life?
Can you tell us how that is done and confirm somehow that it´s not placebo plz?
There are so many roms and kernels to choose from, what make this so good with battery?

Yes of course. I sometimes forget that xda is a library. Not a forum. Silly me.
Not you, the OP. If he can't manage to flash CM/GApps/etc with the simple instructions provided/without people holding his hand to the point of even choosing which version to flash for him, he's going to bust his phone at some point in the very near future. Time and again on here we see people like him do this.

Ah, yes. I agree. It´s not easy to learn all you need to know as a complete noob here. What to do, understand the terminology and all.
But in this case doctor_droid did the OP a solid with answers and links. The OP got answers and should be able to take it home from there.
Hi
Haven't been on this forum since yesterday.
CM works fine.
The tutorials here for installing CM are REALLY bad if you haven't flashed before.
I wish I could make them a bit more noob-friendly.
I understood everything, but the tutorials made me unsure.

no its not a placebo effect..
there is only one reason m running cm9 and thats bcoz of the battery life..
we have 4.3 builds bt i still luv cm9 and thats bcoz i dun like to charge much (no i cant afford a 3000mah battery worth 5000INR )
if u dun trust me u can try by urself...
i use cm9.0 stable not 9.1
battery life is thrice better than 10.1

It may just be that the usb mass storage app isn't on that rom.
Try a usb mass storage app from play store : Here's one
or it could be a bug in your rom, please be more specific when asking questions like this. if i knew your rom i could tell you.
More detail

Dude! First of all, if you THINK! you've got something interesting that you didn't develop yourself post it in general. Second first test it yourself before asking others to test it, THEN! post it (stil in general if you didn't develop it yourself!!!)!
Lock this thread (or move it to general) please!!!
after more testing there is no life in this rom i've tried loads of kernels and none of them can get it to boot up furthest i got was boot loop on kCernel CM9, if anyone else finds a solution post it up other than that try and find the problem and test before posting it up

I am interested in this project but it is useless if it can't even boot. These kind of threads belong in General, not in Development! Another way to get people to test it is to PM people and offer the rom through dropbox.

If anyone still wants to test it, message me or Xpme for Password and if I get good feedback by tomorrow, Ill make the actual rom available. To be fair: Not 1 response after multiple downloads :/ Sola works fine so Ill release it tomorrow.. and GO, status will be updated later (Odds are Ill be away from pc for next 12 hours so better PM Xpme for pass
Hey guys,
I am nearly done with making Lite v1.0 for Xperia P, Sola and GO The rom is based on Stock with pretty much everything that can be removed, removed and only bare essentials left in place Smooth,Fast and Stable If you head over to the thread, you'll see that alot of people liked it and so, I thought Id make sure to release it for all the Xperia brothers this Christmas Im nearly done but I dont have the devices to test it. If anyone can voluteer to just flash my roms and give it a quick test run, Id really appreciate it
Ill probably be able to upload them in the next 12 hours Anyway, If anyone is interested in helping, Please reply here or Message me (With the name of your phone too ofc, Dont forget that ) Should work on both locked and unlocked bootloaders
Install Instructions :
Flash Stock FTF with Kernel
Install my rom
Wipe Cache
Enjoy
And if you're gonna try it on Custom Kernel, you'll have to flash another cwm zip I add after adding the Kernel More instructions when I upload the files Hope this works out
At present, ILoveXperia is my first man for testing Xperia Go But I want to make sure a few people use it and it works fine before public release hence the thread
Cheers
& Merry Christmas
Ps: Hope this is the right Forum for it.. not sure tbh
Xperia GO,P & Sola versions uploaded.
GO
Sola
P
Please let me know asap if you downloaded & it flashed correctly. So I can finish the final edits and release.. if it boots and doesnt lag, you wouldnt see any errors because everything else works same as stock f/w
I will test it on my xperia p.
You have CWM file?

Yeah.. You can post the thread only if you are gonna upload the release immediately afterwards.. Since I havent gotten test results yet, I cant do that Atleast, thats what I believe Besides, I didnt want to post three testing threads only to make 3 real threads after that..
Hopefully, Ill get results soon and I can close this one
Cheers & Merry Christmas
PS; People who downloaded, can you atleast say if you downloaded, and it flashed correctly ? I dont need detailed reports cause It has same working as for U. If it boots and it doesnt lag badly, then I know its a successs I want to release it on Christmas day if possible Thanks to the people who downloaded : 6 Xperia Go downloads and 2 each for Sola and P Please reply back soon
One little Question.. I'm on 54. Firmware, but Bloatware removed.
Should I flash ICS ROM again or is it enough when I make a Factory Resten in CWM, than flash the ROM and then wipe cache?
I'd prefer flashing Stock again for testing purposes But for installing as a normal rom, bloatware removed would be fine though

7)Then hit the AP button and locate the TWRP_2.8.7.0__SM-A700f.tar file you just downloaded
8)After that go to the options tab and make sure Auto reboot and F.Reset Time are ticked AND NOTHING ELSE .
9)Then hit Start.
10)In about 10-30 seconds your phone should be restarting ... BOOM You're done!
Give it some time and when it is all booted up shut it off completely. Then to make sure that the recovery menu is working hold the Volume UP+ Home +Power button to access it. And that's it. If you have any issues i'll be more than glad to help. Don't disturb ashyx!
Special thanks to @ashyx for being extremely kind to help us and gift us the holy gift of custom recovery.
I've also attached a photo of my A700F with the TWRP working.
Great News. Thanks again to both of you!

I would press thanks but I already wasted all of my thanks on both of you's posts in the development thread haha
Thanks again to both of you for putting your time and effort into it, you're awesome!
A suggestion for everyone who installs it, there's a very nice app on the play store named Quick Boot which allows you to reboot to recovery with one tap, easy and useful.
Cool!
Now only thing we need is someone who can build a decent ROM for our Phone hahaha
But I doubt that is going to happen since there is no device tree to be found anywhere.

Someone makes it and posts it on github. Sometimes it comes from the manufacturer, but don't count on that with samsung.
You need files for phone, kernel etc.
I have searched, but there is nothing for enyxos variant out there.

Will be difficult indeed i think.
Just tried TWRP by the way. Guess i really need the Original cable it seems. Tried it with HTC cable just now. And even thought it says OK it didn;t work. Still old recovery.
Which root method is the best by the way? Is there a way without tripping KNOX? Want to keep my Phone as Original as possible for now.

When I had 4.4 and tried kingroot it tripped it and also I'm sure if you have 5.0 and root with the kernel set to permissive you will trip it... There's no way out of it to be honest... Knox is an e-fuse if you trip it you will need to replace your MoBo in order to get it back to normal

Man.... i searched a lot today for making a device tree for our version of the A7lte.
It's really difficult. My knowledge does not go this far i'm afraid. So we just have to wait for someone that can do this.
Sorry man.....

Nope that's not going to happen. Samsung is not that willingly to give that sort of stuff.
Not like Sony for example. they have their own AOSP program.
Someone has to create a device tree. I found that the galaxy Alpha is quite similar, maybe you can Borrow that. But i don;t know that much about this stuff....

Hey guys,
Could any of you with a HTC device and android 5.x please help me with the latest HTC mail apk. This one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.android.mail
I need the November version (Not from May).
Appreciate your cooperation.
Sorry I can't help - my htc met an untimely demise. I also prefer the Mail app to Gmail and would love to get hold of it.

Good for you buddy good luck with your attitude. and if you had "knowit all" attitude you would have already got what you looking for. And if you don't want to take help from fellow members there is no point in posting here. And if you would be so knowledgeable you wouldn't be asking HTC app in OnePlus X thread. Peace out..sorry that i tried helping you.
