Hi,
I've searched google and the forums in and out, and can't find anyone mention the bugs I see with the pattern/PIN lockscreen. I'm using CM9 (Nightly 20120611).
The problem begins when trying to temporarily deactivate the lockscreen, either by using the notification power widget, or by using apps which probably carry out the same OS function in order to deactivate it.
Settings -> Interface -> System -> Notification drawer -> Widget buttons -> Toggle lockscreen
Once deactivated, clicking any notification (be it an SMS, email, or any other) from the notification drawer causes the lockscreen to pop up out of nowhere, and from this moment on - it's back on, even though it's supposed to be deactivated, and the toggle is switched 'off'. Playing around with the toggle might bring the state back to normal, but down the line stranger things will happen, especially if playing with the lockscreen setting 'Show widgets before unlock' - for example the phone may unlock given any pattern/PIN, or the lockscreen toggle may become useless (no effect).
Has anyone else noticed this? Is this CM9 or ICS?
Thanks!

Curious, as I find it rather annoying and rather pointless to have.
[Q] News & Weather Stock App - Rooted v1.4.3
I have not found a permanent way to disable the lock screen. There are several apps in the app store that will temporarily do it, I use a widget app called Widgetsoid where that is one of the controls you can set to have on the screen. I have found that the OS turns it back on at random intervals.
If you use CM7 there is an option in the settings to turn off the lock screen though.
Ive recently changed my unlock setting from swiping to entering a pattern in to unlock but have found this has disabled me from pulling down the notification bar when on lock screen, is this normal?
Thanks.

Yes it is normal. Once you have a secure lock screen it disables the notification pulldown.
It would not be secure if you could change settings on the phone etc. When you have a pin/pattern set.
It's a standard function of the android os

Makes sense, thanks.
Hi, I'm using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benhirashima.skiplock&hl=en this app. And in this app when I go to setting I can enable it or disable it. Is there any way to make a shortcut or widget on home screen to automatic turn on and off this?
How can I hide sensitive notifications without enabling app lock? There is an option to hide notifications in app lock which locks the app and hides notifications in statusbar even when the phone is unlocked. Isnt there an option like sin basic/stock android where we can show all notifications on lockscreen but us3 per app settings to not show sensitive data?
