Need for Speed™ Most Wanted - Defy Themes and Apps

Hi everyone, I was looking for the NFS Most Wanted to play on my Transformer Prime (because it isn't avaliable on the PlayStore) than I downloaded an cracked version for it and it is running pretty well but I decided to test it on our lovely Defy (mine is running the latest build from Quarx) and it is running well too  (it is slow to load the game but the gameplay is fantastic) :good:
I just would like to share this for every Defy user

Is the 8.9 Tab a POS?

Sorry for my title in this thread, but I am just a little upset right now. Whatever 3d game I download, either does not work, is not compatible with the tab, and if it does install crashes in 30 mins. If it does not crash, the ap acts crazy. I am talking about game apps btw. Skies of glory, my plane just keeps spinning around non stop. About 10 games I tried downloading are not compatible. Hawx crashes 15 mins into the game. I see alot of apps are compatible with the 10.1 inch model. When I go to gameloft, they don't even have the 8.9 model as one of the selection on their site. Is it just my tab or no one offers support for this thing?
Does anyone have any 3d games that work with this tab? So I can at least get some more? (I do have shadowgun, Hot Pursuit, and dead space were the only ones I see that work really well. Thanks
This is because Galaxy Tab 8.9 defaults to "landscape" in build.prop whereas all the other tabs including the 10.1 defaults to "portrait". That means any game that uses the accelerometer will not function for 8.9 (unless you hold it in landscape mode!) until the developers start to cater specifically for 8.9.
you're going to want to install a custom ROM and you'll like it much better.
I don't know why samsung made some of the decisions they did, but overcome fixes everything that you're talking about.
I play GTA, osmos, world of goo, wreckless racing, wreckless getaway, etc. all work great.
Is it a POS? stock software, yes. hardware, absolutely not.
Thanks for the replies guys, what custom rom do you recommend for it? I guess I will google it if a link cannot be posted. Thanks.

Just look in the development section. All the roms are there.
The only question to ask yourself is, do you want honeycomb or try out the ics alphas. I would go with ics but keep in mind it's alpha so some stuff might not work

If you you use cameras don't go with the I cs. Go with overcome.

Shadowgun, Frontline Commando, and Deadspace, are all pretty awesome 3d games, but yeah I want Gameloft support too.
At the moment there is no one Gameloft game in the market for 8.9 Galaxy tab.
I have tried to change tablet version name to P7100 in build.prop but it didnt helps (games have appeared but i cant buy anything). I also cant install or run any downloaded version...

NDS Emulator for Android?

Hey guys,
This is probably my first question topic on XDA in all my 500+ posts ...so here goes!

--
Can you provide some Market Links if there are any on the market and also if there's none on the market but exists elsewhere, post here ONLY IF ITS FREE!

Your like a bloody sidekick!
there is no working nds emulator yet at least not for android. they are working on it but even on high end devices it runs slow an buggy. you can read more here.
technabob.com/blog/2011/02/04/tiger-lab-ds-emulator-for-android/
there is a topic here on xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=969977
"It is just DEMO and speed is very very very very slow even on high-end phones. You shall not expect to play nds game with the emulator."
Please don't bother hogging on NDS4DROID, the developer got too greedy and wanted money but didn't want to work on it even though it ran only on 2 fps for 10 dollars.
He has no intentions on releasing the year old source code since he is afraid that others will profit from it and is now currently working on dead beat mobile projects.
And as for TIGERLabs, well they are known for not giving a **** about further developing their projects.
Considering ANdroid phones are getting more and more powerful now (quad-core phones and 1GB+ RAM), it should be possible to create a Nintendo DS emulator that will run smoothly.
also imagine if u had ur phone or tablet hooked to ur tv, the tablet could be the touch screen and the big screen can be the top screen, theirs alot u could do.
Wonder if it would ever happen
It would be practical for certain games and especially on tablets. Since they have the extra real estate. Really I wanna play maybe Pokemon and Brain Age.
Tablets especially could benefit from the larger screen space.

Have a look at Dsoid
It's not brilliant at the moment, but I believe it's actively being worked on at least.

Try this app: DraStic ...it's fluid, maybe there are little bugs but it's really fast and works very well !!
You can search a little to find the apk for free.. (Personally I found and it's work perfectly..)

Gameloft HD Games Download

I will soon post a pack of HD games compatible with Galaxy Player YP-G70 AMERICA VERSION
Awesome! Will you include the data that they generally have to download when you first start the app too?
Well, maybe you didn't read the rules when you registered like you should have, but you should be able to guess by previous attempts of piracy; XDA HAS A STRICT NO-PIRACY POLICY! PIRACY IS A SCOURGE TO SOCIETY!

I suggest you don't post those links unless you want to say goodbye to XDA forever. (banned)

If you want the game, buy the game, then you support the developer, who uses the money to upgrade the game and make new games, are you getting this? Spread an illegal copy of the game, no money goes to the developer, then he has to stop developing and updating, then you will complain about how there are no good games! I just explained the concept of piracy in nice little baby-steps so you could understand the consequence of becoming a pirate, I hope that was simple enough to understand so I don't have to make a youtube video about it, LOL! If you look at the front page of the portal, you will see another consequence of even greater importance you pirates are bringing upon us!
I agree with everybody. But I bought all gameloft from my OP Black (Asphalt 5,6 , Modern Combat 2,3 etc ) and I can't download for my SS Player . I already buy it but I want to play with my SS Player. Am I wrong ?
Check this out, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1435617
If you want to get it from the market, check this out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133702
Your market will probably automatically update back to Google play after doing that (if you're in a supported region) but I find it still works even after the market updates, so enjoy!

Best ROM for Gaming on Touchpad

Hi guys,
I'm trying to flash android on my touchpad for my kids can play games. I'm just trying to figure out what'll be the best ROM to put onto the touchpad in order for gaming for my kids? I've read through the posts a little bit but theres quite a bit so I was wondering if you guys had any ideas. It'll also be nice if it had minimal bugs and I could use it as a daily driver.
Also: Are there any updated guides for this out? I'm sure I can follow the old one and figure it out from there, but I figured it never hurts to ask.
Thanks

I would just go with stock cyanogen. There is no gaming roms lol. I am running cyano nightly and its very stable. You can over clock it too.
Go check out rev kyle on YouTube and he will give you step by step directions bud. . Don't forget to hit thanks if I was helpful. Good luck and I hope your kids get as much joy out of your touchpad as I do!
touchpad tenderloin
Depending on the games you may need to spoof another device. Most of the kid games work well though. My 2 and 5 year olds like playing on my touchpad. In fact I'm getting another one for them soon.

To those running CM9, do gameloft/glu games work? I used to get FC all the time on CN several months ago.
I got a GNex so I haven't been up to date on TP development for a while now
A lot of gameloft games work, I run Asphalt 6, Modern Combat 3, Dungeon Hunters 3, and other high end games like Mass Effect Infiltrator and such with no problems. Sometimes you'd need specific versions for some other games (so those have to be side-loaded into your device) but most work. Don't know about glu games, myself.
CM9 nightlies are the best. I flash the latest nightly, change the build.prop to spoof a SGH-T989, and I'm set for everything I need.

Humble request to all the XDA Developers

First I would like to apologize if I am posting this in the wrong thread. And Also I would like to thank you all for your work here. You have given new life to my old arc s. And I have learned sooo much in so little time here for which I cant thank you enough. Now on to my request
Recently nvidia showed off project shield and it looks amazing. But what I find most amazing about it is the fact that it can play games streamed from your pc to steam. I am sure that is possible even on the current devices. I would love for you guys to give it a try. I am currently in Pakistan where buying original games etc is a pain in the ass as everything is sold pirated. I respect the developers time and like to buy my stuff original even if I have to wait for it hence I by everything off steam (when the gone sale ). As such services like onlive are not available in my area. I am sure if you guys can bring this same concept to our current devices it would be great to run games of my phone that run on my pc will be a dream come true... hoping for your positive response.
